    I have attended the ceremony twice- 1989 and on parade in uniform as a Cdn Lt 2017.
    My maternal grandfather was wounded at Canal du Nord 28 September 1918 and survived.
    So many names without a known grave.

      hello sir I was in Calgary and I been in Cloresholm and Letbrichts , my grand father was a Belgain sodier in the first W War Belguim army ,i now him verry well , thanks to the Canadians to help the Belgains in the first and the second W War grts from Belguim sir

    Op zaterdag zaterdag 28 mei '22 hebben wij met het Overijssels Byzantijns Mannenkoor De Last Post mogen ondersteunen met twee liederen.
    De opnames hiervan beveel ik van harte aan. Het heeft op ons koor een blijvende grote indruk gemaakt.
    Dank nogmaals dat wij hier onze bijdrage aan mochten leveren. Wederom maakt ook deze opname weer veel indruk, indrukwekkend.
    'Wij zullen Hen herinneren.'

    On Saturday, May 28, '22 we, 'The Overijssels Byzantijns Men's Choir', were able to support De Last Post with two songs.
    I highly recommend the recordings of this. It has made a lasting impression on our choir.
    Thank you again for allowing us to contribute to this. Once again this recording makes a great impression.

    As stated, Last Post has been played every evening since 2 July 1928 with the exception of when Ypres was occupied by the Germans during World War II. The town was liberated by the 1st Polish Armoured Division on 6 September 1944. The Last Post was sounded at the Menin Gate that evening.
