Man, such a great song! Never fails to get me pumped! It's so ingrained in my little mind after all that time spent in arcades and at home w/my Saturn.
Sega: "Okay, since this is the Sega Saturn version, we need you to sing it without any assistance from the cool sound engineering shortcuts we used the first time." Singer: "...you're joking right?" Sega: "Nope! Now get out there and doot like you've never dooted before."
This brings back so many memories I remember playing this on sega saturn with some friends, I must've been in 3rd or 4th grade at the time. The game was fun to play, we weren't worried about graphics or getting the highest scores. It was all about having fun in those days. Daytona USA FTW!
Thanks for uploading this. I have been looking for the saturn version of this forever! Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 2, Golden Axe The Duel & Virtua Cop were all big parts of my childhood.
I just found my sega saturn and this game in my older brother's room. The Sega Saturn is only about a few months younger than I am. I've just played this game today, and damn, do I love it. So technically, this game is still the shit :)
It's not that I don't think that there are incredible games out now, believe me. I've been playing video games since age 6. I just think that today's generation missed out on classic games being released during that time. And the whole feel that went along with having great gameplay, an excellent soundtrack, and hours of entertainment, all without online gameplay. Games like Power Stone 2, The Street Fighter EX series, Ridge Racer, & Tekken , all were released in my teenage years. Good times
Remember this song, guys? I remember playing this game in 1995/96. One of my buddies had a Sega Saturn (I owned a PlayStation). LOL!!! This song is strange, but weird.
tuhtuthutuh tuhtu turruuuhhh dayytoonaaaa(derigolga)!!! let's go uhway way. wai yeh here. way here. dayytoonaaaaahhh words can't describe the sheer awesomeness of this music
Didn't realise until I read that the arcade version was midi sound files and the Saturn had a re-recorded soundtrack with real instruments. Can't decide which sounds better.
Can you imagine this song in Rock Band? That would be so awesome. Don't tell me you have not wanted to sing this before. Or jam out with the guitar, bass and drums in this song
Playing this game on the Saturn was all my racing game wants come true at the time and I absolutely kicked ass at it! The Soundtrack was kinda corny but damned if it didn't work fucking perfectly...especially singing along while drinking beer.
I cry to this because my father just passed away last month and back in 1997, me and him played this game together on sega Saturn. Memmories😔
those were the days
I’m so sorry man
Man I'm sorry your loss. I'm praying for your family. ❤
Sorry for the loss man. Feel better soon
Very sorry for your loss, my friend. Try to feel his presence in your heart when you think of those memories..
I just signed into an account I haven't been on in 5 years just to say thank you for getting this video 100,000+ views!
How about 10 years?
You can never be angry when you listen to a sugary sweet old school Sega arcade soundtrack.
I wish the "doo" solo caught on with modern music.
Unfortunately, doo-wop died out during the 50’s “malt shop” era
It kinda lived as Scatting, but didn't survive because people deemed it less skilled than creating lyrics, along other things
new super mario bros has you covered

I somehow timed listening to both the Saturn and Arcade versions perfectly and honestly having both is way better than listening to either.

Booker T said on the WWE Fastlane panel that he's a big Daytona fan so I had to get smarky tweet him this.
"Sir, why were you doing 160 in a 65?"
Resume this jam
"Understandable. Have a good day, sir."

90's gaming is the best era ever
DAYTOOONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! Lets go away!! Daytonaaaaaaaaaaa
