Jesus John and Pat were superstars when i was young...they caught the country humour like no one before or since..i remember going to see "one hell of a do"...great show...we laughed till we cried and drank loads of pints...Ireland was on fire in the 90s😂😂 RIP John.
exactly, they caught the whole 90s thing in Ireland perfectly because everything was improving and everyone was positive so all those characters came alive.
@joesod The good news us that the kids today still relate to this culture and there is a resurgance of interest in our Irish popular culture D'unbeleivables, Wolf Tones ,the two Johnies stuff like that.
I seen them live in the concert hall in UL many moons ago.... '96 l think..... my God what a show twas d' unbelievably good ❤ RIP Jon. Thanks for the laughs. It's one of the greatest gifts to give anyone
Saw them when I was young doing D'Wedding. Never again saw an entertainer like John. The energy he gave out he literally left everything on stage. Still remember it to this day. Rip John.
Pat Short here seems more himself whereas in recent appearances with RTE to me he seems to have to break out the laugh or try to be funny where there seems something more authentic about him here, RIP to Jon Kenny I would say a more grounded Spiritual person than the off the wall character he played both were great actors too which can be overlooked it's a shame they never got to do one last video or a TV series together
I was just thinking the same thing. It gets irritating when he ( Pat Shortt) laughs at every utterance like it’s the funniest thing of all time which he does not do here. You are spot on.
R I P John. Absolute gentleman and absolute comedic genius. You will be sorely missed!!

I don't think I've ever seen them as young as this, R.I.P. Jon 🙏

I always liked him on the D'Unbelievables and when he appeared on Fr Ted there's few like him today and he will be sorely missed
