  • Cook a savory Ribeye steak at home in your kitchen with a frying pan and oven! I show you how to season the steak, sear it in butter and herbs, and bake to medium perfection! This is a different take on one of my favorite recipes and most popular TH-cam videos! I also try something very tasty for those of you who love Middle Eastern food. I added Zatar spice to one of the steaks for a spicy twist! The steaks I'm using are one pound Ribeye steaks which are known to be very tender and juicy (because of their marbling ahem fat) I season with salt and pepper, baste with butter and vegetable oil that has sautéed garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Sautéed spinach and a toasted pretzel role for sides. I know you'll love it. So SAVORY!!!
    The equipment I use to make videos:

    I don't see the reason to cut the fat off,it tastes so much better with it on glad you keep it on mate

      Yes, the fat of a ribeye brings the flavor! The steak also falls apart if you cut too much off. I do cut fat off on cuts were I want more of a straight beef experience.

    U should baste on the cooked side once it’s done. Pro tip

    Olive oil (yes, low smoke point) or avocado ... and I save the butter / blue cheese for after they're out of the pan and on a nice sized cutting board ... for several minutes underneath foil

    problem is with a thick steak the butter, garlic, and thyme are going to burn way before it reaches 135 internal so I've found I need to cook it in the oil for a good amount of time before adding the rest

    Freaking outstanding! I normally grill steaks but it's freezing temps so I wanted something I could cook indoors. After cking out a few vids (my due diligence) there was something that felt right about your recipe so I followed it.
    Dude!!! One of the best steaks I've ever tasted not cooked on the grill. It was perfect, ngl this was not what I expected. Thank you for making this cause it's now my go to and will be til I can fire up the grill again in a couple months. It's so good I might even do it with the grill option available. 👍🙌👌

      A pan fried steak especially if use cast-iron is way better than a grill

    • @robintaylor485
      @robintaylor485 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don’t know why people think charcoal or gas grill everything makes the steaks so great no you don’t what makes a steak great is a cast-iron skillet with Kerry Gold butter fresh thyme fresh rosemary and a small bit of cracked black pepper. I use the Kerry gold butter as the salt

    Soo many people make this mistake they add butter way too early. Wait until very end to add butter you will notice a difference. Otherwise looks good

    Looks good. But if good steak it doesn't need anything but a little salt.

      I disagree. I think a steak is enhanced with flavors such as butter, herbs, and seasonings. But some like it pure and some don't.

    I feel like he scorched the right one

    • @savorwithdmurph1113
      @savorwithdmurph1113  ปีที่แล้ว

      The right one definitely got some extra heat. It turned out good though. The fat tightens up which can make it bend like that.

    9:35 Do you know why that pan got crazy hot for some reason Because you have it on a hot burner a extremely hot burner I guarantee you if you do not have the pan on that burner that’s fired up it would not get crazy hot

    Cut the fat on the steak so it doesnt curl when cooking

    • @savorwithdmurph1113
      @savorwithdmurph1113  ปีที่แล้ว

      I call the steak on the right curly, haha! Yes good tip. I started doing that now if curling happens.

    Bone in steaks are the best. Why do people purchase boneless steaks?
