Just a note re: confidence in wearing what you want. I’ve followed you since 2012 and I used to eagerly await your next fashion vid. I LOVED that you wore exactly what you wanted and I loved the way you styled your pieces. Your videos were really pivotal in helping me develop my own sense of style and have the confidence to wear it ♥️
I love hearing about the small tidbits of your day, even those that you call "extremely boring." They interest me! Always love the vlogs and hearing about your reading.
Hi Jess! A little advice with the nap thing. Since some days she seems to need it she probably always does. What causes this one nap to push back bedtime is them not tiring enough. If possible, try to do more tiring things in the afternoon - such as a walk or play in the park. Also, there should be at least 4 hours between the time they wake from the nap and bedtime, so if you want her down by 9 try to wake her from her nap by 5pm. Science shows a nap in the middle of the day is very beneficial for kids all throughout toddlerhood really, I wouldn't rush to have her drop it.
I've been watching your vlogs since 2012 and your vlogs are consistently awesome! Love seeing the day to day normality of things- it's real and we need more of that in life. BUZZING for Vlogtober!! X
I love your vlogs. Whether it is hearing about what your reading or the updates on life, it’s all fun. And seeing your transition into proper adult life with Ines is fantastic. I always felt frustrated with the weaning process. Partly because I loved the cuddles that came with nursing, especially at bedtime. But also because of how challenging it was to get the baby to sleep a different way and the knowledge of that phase of your time together is ending. All very emotional and difficult. Glad you rewarded yourself with more reading and a hot chocolate!
It’s so funny that you mention “knocked confidence” because I saw you wearing those silver pants and my immediate thought was man I would’ve worn those in college but now would be too afraid of people staring at me?? So weird what happens when we get older (and I’m only just 27… so not even old.) but you look great in them!!!
Totally get your schedule with Ines. I had exactly the same with mine who is now 2.9 years old. And yeah the transition was looooonnnggg. I would cap the day time nap so she still has some but you also keep the sleep pressure up for bed time. That’s what I did before the nap was properly dropped and it did keep the evenings not too late. (I too was clocking off at 10:30 😵💫 so I feel your pain!) X
I am cracking up at “flaps” 😂 A tip from the costume department, since you can’t wash the jeans, flip them inside out and spray them with alcohol and air them out to clean them!
@@egbonss That would probably work 😂 But if you care about the clothing, or if it’s expensive, isopropyl alcohol is best! For delicate and synthetic fabrics though, dilute 1:1 with water and dry out of direct sunlight in a well ventilated area
i find the discussion on wealth inequality to be extremely thought provoking and interesting. it's an argument that is consistently sparked in the comment section of pretty much all of Jess's videos since the pandemic began. i get both sides. obviously it can be easy to feel resentful and like Jess is out of touch during such a tumultuous economic time for so many, but i don't think leaving a negative comment is right either. you have the agency to not watch Jess's videos if they no longer bring you joy, and i just don't think leaving a negative comment is helpful for anyone. financially speaking, it's very obvious that Jess comes from immense wealth, but she's still entitled to feel concerned and anxious about the future for herself and her family. that's totally normal. i've was quite poor for the first 25 years of my life. i grew up without a lot, and i will never receive an inheritance. by any measure, i am well-off now. i have more financial freedom than i ever imagined i would, but i still feel the occasional worry, everyone does. people's circumstances will always be different. some will have more and others will have less, but we all feel fear and love and pain the same way, and to dismiss the way Jess is feeling because she's rich is shortsighted. she may not understand the grim reality of what UK's poor and working class are experiencing, but leaving a mean comment will not make her understand, i can tell you that. (plus i would argue that her youtube channel was created for us to understand her, and not necessarily for her to understand you/us). thank you for coming to my ted talk p.s. i am in the camp of abolishing inheritance and eliminating intergenerational wealth entirely 🙃
The baby sleep chats are great! My little one is 18 months, and we are having a similar go of it as you. 1 nap, almost not needed anymore, pushing bedtime way too late, wrigggling whilst nursing...oh dear, does it ever test my patience. Anyways, thanks for sharing! Solidarity Mamma haha
I've been a long time subscriber and cannot express how excited I am for your vlogtober videos! And I'm not sure what it is, but your makeup is fucking STELLAR in that last clip.
With that logic i could sell my crappy 5-year old leather jeans where bits of the fake leather had fallen off in patches…for like $200? You can’t wash them and you’re supposed to take off the remaining fake leather bits yourself. They’re “just so so cool”
I’m sorry Jessie but in one of your previous videos you said you were worried about “providing for your little family” and now you’re showing a £500 pair of trousers? You are clearly from a rich family and have a lot of wealth and that is fine! All your viewers have been aware of that for a long time and it’s nice to see the luxuries that kind of life can provide you but please don’t claim to worry about providing for your family in these times. £500 that you spend on one pair of unwashable trousers will pay some peoples rent for a whole month, you are not short on money and please don’t pretend to be. It’s offensive to act like you’re in the same boat as others when you live in a completely different world. I’ve loved your videos for a long time and still want to support you, but please don’t be so tone deaf about your own wealth and privilege.
@@sesame135 yes I understand that the trousers were probably gifted but I think the point still stands. Also until recently I would agree that Jess has not tried to deceive viewers into thinking she has money problems. Recently all the discussion about her patreon in particular has been pretty thick with the message that she needs this to support her family. I really wouldn’t say i’ve been quick to be outraged, i’ve watched Jess for 8 years and have never had this view before. As I said, I still want to support Jess, and think previously she’s been able to speak eloquently about difficult topics and think of things from different point of views, but recently it’s felt very tone deaf.
@Marlene Artigues yeah I understand that is true in some scenarios but if they can afford to buy a million pound house (at least a million), and then have it sit empty for years whilst they complete a full renovation I don’t think we’re talking about a similar situation to people who are working hard to make their rent
I agree, its the complete hypocrisy about complaining to be financially struggling, then buys expensive clothes, expensive renovations, expensive holidays, expensive house... Oh the ignorance of the rich !
u need to just unsubscribe if you are so upset about her content. 🙄 it is literally her JOB to promote products and do brand sponsorships. At least Jess does other content like books and stuff that is more cultured and substantial then just purely material. People be projecting there own issues on her when she is living her life doing her youtube thing which is why you are watching to begin with? If you have an expensive lifestyle you have to still earn the money to maintain that level unless you literally have an inheritance/trust fund. So yes you can be "rich" but still need to "work".
Direct your anger somewhere more worthwhile, or productive write to your mp or something if you’re very concerned about the cost of living crisis. Don’t watch TH-camrs if you don’t want to see consumption
Tbh i Miss your Old vlogs. I watch and press like anyway since i am a long time follower but these last videos are a Little boring to me. Also i am not interested in books and so every video i have to skip that part.
Hi Jessie, during times of living crisis where people are worried about paying money for food and heating this winter, you promoting VERY expensive clothing is really out of line. As a viewer who is struggling, I feel like you are now just showing off your privilege with this sponsored clothes (esp. ripped up clothing) and I hope that you know how privileged you are and appreciate how your expensive show off can impact your audience during these expensive times
Have you ever considered that some people watch youtube to escape reality for a little while? I live in a country that's pretty much permanently on financial crisis, that doesn't mean I don't want to watch videos about clothes or nice things. What should we watch then? There's already plenty of shitty things going on in the world!
Just a note re: confidence in wearing what you want. I’ve followed you since 2012 and I used to eagerly await your next fashion vid. 2:33 Flaps 🤣😂 - you're right, it's not a great word when said out loud - that made me laugh!!

Vlogtober!!! 🎃🥰
Vlogtober yaaaaay 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yasssss VLOGTOBERRRRR🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Yay for Vlogtober!!!
£500 trousers with bits falling off and that you can’t wash?? Really?

let people do whatever they want with their money
Vetements sales a simple tshirt for £800 or more. Besides there are things people love and willing to pay a lot more in life. Relax.
Why not just let her enjoy the trousers? She isn't forcing you to go buy them yourself.
Great video.
You are obsessed with rings?
What do you do for a living? 🤭
