    “Best” and “Harley Davidson” are two words that don’t belong together.

    I have owned quite a few Harleys from sportsters to street glides. I recently sold a 2013 fat boy and a 2010 street glide and picked up a every nice 2010 Honda Fury with 10,000 miles, this bike looks and rides great rite from the factory , this is something that Harley Davidson should have came out with years ago.

      You can't be serious about the underpowered plastic riddled wannabe Honda Fury.. HD IS failing in a big way but the Honda Fury? Seriously???

    Nice video, many beautiful bikes to get confused, the Sport Glide (Small fairing and bags) is actually a Softail Slim :-)

    • @startmeup5156
      @startmeup5156 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it's not. I have test drove the Sport Glide and had it striped down, it looks nothing like the "Softail Slim"

    • @MrSoundsandVision
      @MrSoundsandVision 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @gemini232003 thanx, yes I am talking about the bike in the video, not about the actual bikes:-)

    • @startmeup5156
      @startmeup5156 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @gemini232003 I must of misread. Because what I'm trying to say, is the bike they have labeled in the green and white title as a "Sport Glide" is actually a "Softail Sim" Is that what you're saying also?

    • @leesherman9483
      @leesherman9483 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It’s definitely not a Sport Glide.

    Good video, for me the best value is the Slim, Softail chassis equipped with forward controls and many nicer upgrades. You could do a 114 conversion and still be cheaper than Fatboy or Breakout. I should say I'm also not a fan of the 240 mm rear tire

      Or just get the FXLRS and have Inverted forks,,Dual Abs Discs,,Mag Wheels and Better clearance for Handling ,specially with Forwards and the Right Slip ons add up to %5 of Power. And there's No way you Can add all that for the Difference of Cost including the 114 ci..Slim is a beautiful bike tho %100.

      KostaAtlas personally i don’t own HD’s they are my dad’s and grandpa’s bike generation, i opt for the big 4, i stay away from KTM unless it is strictly on dirt, but Euro5 and Indian production is killing KTM quality. The Indi Kawasaki brands like Rouser are seriously cheap to purchase and equally cheaply made. I own Yamaha’s made in Thailand and Yamaha’s made in Japan. The Yamaha’s made in Japan hands down are much higher quality, you can see it even in the welds it is so obvious. Brands lose their appeal when globalization takes over. For the record, the biggest reason i don’t care for HD, is the type of people it attracts, but if HD wants to maintain its brand, they will have to reduce production to the US and export the models, but then again US unions will destroy HD before they could do that.

      I’ve had all older models until I road on a 19 softail. Put a bike and a down payment on it and now I ride it every day. Love it. Haven’t had many issues that weren’t my own doing and the dealer covered it for me anywase. Honda’s and Yamahas I absolutely love and appreciate. They are such a global mark for good reliable bikes it’s disgusting. I have a good time turning wrenches on American and Asian. I love triumph styles but it’s hard for me to dive into them because of my bad luck with euro bikes.

    • @marknasia5293
      @marknasia5293 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt agreed i love bikes but i am at a point i don’t flip or resale i just keep them, so when I get my hands on a limited edition Ducati, i want it made in Italy, same with Harley because i am not just riding the bike but planning on keeping it long term. I can hold out as the winds of change are sweeping through the idea that is outsourcing manufacturing. Bike companies competing makes all bike better, but the outsourcing really degrades the quality of the bikes and tarnishes the brand, this is not just with HD, Kawasaki and Yamaha are having issues where i live because you can get models made in Japan or in Thailand/Indonesia, the Japanese bikes hands down are far better quality, the welds are perfect, less electronic issues, I have never had a recall on a Japanese produced/assembled manufactured bike, but the similar models produced a year later in Indonesia, too many recalls, i put more kilometers on the bike taking it back to the dealer than actually riding it. Here, HD cost an additional 10K USD except for the street and sportster models, but even the 1200 is some much more expensive i could keep the HD back in the US and buy and additional bike here in SE Asia. I just don’t want a stable of bikes back in the US to have to fly back and maintain. The other big issue is here, a large cruise bike weighing around 250+ kilograms has two major problems, the roads are sad, and when you get to your destination, lack of quality parking, your bike becomes a photoboth and you pretty much have to pay someone to stand by your bike and keep everyone off of it. And yes, they do scratch the bikes, and don’t have respect for the cost of the bikes, etc. Sometimes they even scratch it out of envy. But, if HD would produce more of the bike in the US, it would be worth collecting. Whenever i get the urge, i just borrow a friends HD. Good luck with your 19 Softail, safe riding.

      Mark Nasia thanks man, I appreciate the point of view since i have a shovel head and pan head that haven’t been on the road for two years. I totally understand I ride a small bike in town. Take the Harley out on long rides.

    'Best' - BS at its best - no traction control, no standard CC, no active suspension settings, no ride modes, no navigation, no Bluetooth connectivity, passenger seats that suck, and all at premium prices. And time has proven just how 'best' they are with the Breakout and soon to be Slim, being discontinued.

    Should change the nickname from HOG to PIG, all the same, bland, old bikes with new names, heavy, slow, bad brakes, bad handling, cheap made and way over priced. The company is dying, running in circles trying to stay alive, The Walking Dead !

      I won't defend the over priced part, but any of the softails I took out are not slow, bad brakes and bad handling....I thought they were great, and this is coming from a guy that rides a Suzuki sport bike.
