I find these growth videos so interesting. All of my succulents have just exploded with growth recently. When the Texas heat went away a lot of my succulents started pupping. I have so many babies!! So fun to watch plants grow in different conditions
Watching the vdo always gives me courage and inspiration to work with my own succulents. We are having horrible weather with rains n sultry, muggy climate. And its supposed to be winter.
We had a wet winter too this last couple of years. We're forecast to have more rain here and also a very wet summer. Succulents don't like hot and wet. There's going to be a lot of SOS wishes.....Save Our Succulents. Hope you're succulents survive your winter.
I can't wait to see what your garden looks like a month after you plant this year!! The maintenance free garden (so to speak) is what I want too. I have learned so much in the last year. Thank you!!😘😘😘
Wow!!! What a difference! And it’s good to know that they are particular about their growing temperature or should I say propagating temperature lol I’m actually growing quite a few right now I got them as 2 inch plugs because I could never find a bigger one that was pretty enough or cheap enough lol to purchase so I jumped on the opportunity when these plugs became available. One of them is actually kind of not doing anything so I took off a couple of leaves to see if I can get them to propagate. I DK they may be too small but we shall see. Winter is my busy time as far as growing in propagating and experiment! I love it it keeps me busy😜 Oh Liz let me tell you I just heard you mention about the mold. I went through hell with this white powdery mildew and I tried everything and the only thing that worked was sulfur powder. I even lost a couple of plants not because of the mold but because of what I was using to treat them with and a lot of my plants are just so scarred up and ugly but yeah it is horrible this year for everywhere!!!
Same here with the mold. I haven't tried sulfur powder yet. The one's I sprayed with metho and exposed in the air(in the videos) have now grown and no mold. My metho solution is a life saver for me. My moldy begonia is growing but get's moldy again when I forget to water it. Spay it with metho and she's okay again. Same with my moldy afterglow. She's come good again.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK The metho didn’t work for me 😞 but you have to remember where I live it’s super humid I had just brought them all indoors and it was still very muggy and humid. I also think having the heat finally come on in the house helped out a lot it dried up the air. But I did have to take a lot of the plants off of my store because they just got so scarred up 😢 I use the metho solution for everything else though lol It is a lifesaver!
You got my loving succulents more, definitely enough to get my second echeveria, a Black Prince!!! He'd look great with my PVN!!! Thanks for the abundance of research on your channel, I feel like a better succulent addict!!! 💚
Ms Liz, my afterglow needs your help.😅 I bought this big afterglow from Lowes, and I ended up beheading it bcus there are babies growing from underneath it…. The top of the stem where the other babies are connected, is starting to “dry” out. The bottom of the stem looks fine and didn’t look like it’s rotting. Is this normal? Idk what to do…😭
Maybe give the pot(roots) a good soak. Might be in need of a good drink. If not, check the roots to see if there's root mealybug. Spray with my metho/denatured alcohol solution.
I usually use my Metho solution for this and also give it some air circulation. My Ant solution also works but you'll need to spray it a couple of times and also give some air circulation. My latest video VLOG#92 shows an Afterglow with mold/fungus that was treated with metho solution. Good luck!

Same mold issue here! Especially on all my Cante and After glow
I only have one afterglow that's badly affected. I sprayed with metho solution and now she's recovering and have new growth.

Got it from bunnings and full sun with minimal watering.
