it baffles me that Sneaky and DL are better than half of these LCS ADC's way way better.

@@joeybrez1 yeah for sure. The team where the wins only happens if he and solo are winning lane, and lose if they go even.. for sure. He is the worst player in the team. Also, most of the time makes the play even if the bot side diff is too much, nice logic.

esports is dying mainly because there's no incentive to compete. We aren't gonna win worlds, and top level players will likely make more money streaming anyways. And they will make that money from the comfort of their home, without the drama and stress that comes with being part of an organization.
You're completely forgetting the one reason why people actually choose to go pro: to compete on stage in front of a live audience against the best teams. Streaming solo q from your bedroom cannot compare.
Whether streamers earn more doesn't matter, as long as pros earn enough for a living. Less can still be more than enough.
@@letsplaybsgo I am not forgetting that. If you had read my comment you would have gathered that "glory" was really the only thing to be had in the pro scene. But that glory only exists within our home stage, because we have never, and possibly will never win worlds. Sure, maybe just getting on stage in general gets them off, and if that's the case, then yea, LCS will deliver. But I have a feeling most top players egos extend outside of just winning at home.

Acting like it's the "best teams" is also not entirely true. It's teams that are run by millionaire businessmen, paying people to draft what they think will be a formidable team out of the top solo q players that are willing to play professionally, and then throwing those teams at each other. A lot of top flex and solo q players will never play on the pro stage because of the many reasons I mentioned previously, and more. For traditional sports, it makes sense that the best players would be competing in the NBA or the NFL because there's literally nowhere else for them to compete or to make a living with their craft. But with esports, these players can absolutely make a living and compete without ever joining an organization. And many of them are realizing that.
Too much bureaucracy. Tons of investors with tons of money making important decisions while knowing nothing about league. When the majority of people in esports are in it to make a bunch of money, the players are just treated as resources instead of actual humans or players.
@@nts4906 This is outside of the gaming realm as well. I grew up playing guitar and watching this throughout the music industry. And yea, I absolutely agree that this is a major issue across the board.

Don't wanna get too deep here, but I don't really see a solution. I don't know if it's capitalisms fault per-say, but we definitely shifted from "competing for better products," to "competing for higher profits" somewhere along the way. And it's very clear through what in our society is becoming successful and why.

I'm not a Sneaky fan but I'd rather see him and DL play than some of these kids. It's getting to the point where we might as well remove the import rule.
While they're both good players. I honestly don't think it would matter. LCS is such a shit show of wasted talent and garbage teams that they couldn't carry a team no matter how much they squat. I hardly ever watch LCS games these days because they're just so bad, and the best of 1 format is just a hot pile of donkey shit that doesn't give any team a chance to really show how good or bad they are.
@@snyperwulffgaming9575 Honestly I can't complain about the best of 1 format enough. I know what the announced reasoning has been, but for me the fact that LCS has stuck with it for so long is a clear indication that they absolutely do not care about the competitiveness of the league as long as they can maximize watch time. However, as the NA audience gets jaded and leaves, I wonder if they might still reconsider.
