My razor was quiet mild for me and gave very rough shaving experience but as per your guidance, an inserted shim made it a bit aggressive and saved some bucks to have an another razor.

Never thought saving could be so much involved process. Great indian video on the topic. I looked at the DE razor used by my dad as archaic technique and cartridge blades as superior. But cartridge blades are like instant noodles and DE blades are aromatic biriyani👍👍👍

With Open comb , it is easier to get right angle every time, takes less passes than closed comb, blade touches hair without removing the lather first.

This is one of the best and most informative video from you Joy bhai. Little different as it was more serious tone and less jolly stuff and tone. But it was perfect. And it's just me and my personal opinion, I think aapko shavette ko honourable mention karna chahiye tha. I know you have made a detailed and dedicated video on that topic, but ek bar mention karna banta tha. After all that's the grandfather of all razors right. Just my humble personal opinion. :)

Very good video. I did start wet shaving starting 2020 and got Romer-7 open comb razor. Realized my mistake in first 2-3 shaves and then got Pearl SS-01 closed comb. Pink Woolf open comb razor (R-41 head) is really good, it helps me get clean shave (I have very hard stubble) with no/minimal cuts :-) . Very nice and informative video. Request you to prepare a video on cleaning stubble on neck/chin. I find it very difficult to shave these two areas and feel stubble against the grain immediately after shave in these two areas.

Thanks as always very informative. I am now confused having both open and closed razors by Pearl. I used the open comb for stubble that was a week old. Not very thick unfortunately but the shave was comfortable and took less than two passes. I am planning to shave either twice a week or once a week. For which I believe the closed comb should do the trick I love both of them but can shave with only one 🤣

Market. I sent email to Gillette India team for King C safety razor availability in India (couple of weeks after it was launched in USA). They said not enough market for safety razors in India hence it won't be launched in India. Safety razor/DE blade are seen as cheap shaving options in India hence global brands do not bring their premium products here.

Thanks for your work. Amazing content. I recently started shaving using double edge razor. I bought Bombay shaving company's shaving kit. The mild head is useless, it doesn't shave at all. Hi brother good to see someone from India doing videos on wet shaving so passionately.
I myself have started shaving with open comb normal DE razor & closed TTO DE razor which my father had spare lying with him & 7o clock platinum blades.
I was not aware of brands back then & later when both DE razors got damaged I shifted to basic Gillette DE shavers ranging from 35 to 100 rupees.
Currently using Gillette's 7o clock Sterling DE Razor & during lockdown I had started shaving off my head too with it.
Now I want to invest in some good DE razor as I have learnt to shave off my head myself & I am saving money which otherwise would have to pay the barber weekly for head shaving.
What all option are there for head shaving along with beard?
TTO (Butterfly opening) are my personal favorite.
I am confused between Parker 96R around 1700 & Feather Popular just under 1000.
I have got Pearl SS 95 for my dad around 410 rupees. How is this Indian brand?
It will be great if you mention or comment on globally popular budget DE razor. What all global or Indian brands presently easily available everywhere?
