Another CI formula is A = P(1+rate)^years. Or P=A/(1+rate)^years. For this problem, P=9680/(1 + .10)^2 P=9680/1.1^2 P=9680/1.21 P=8000 The advantage is that other years can be used. If the interest is compounded monthly, it becomes: A = P(1+rate/12)^years*12 Thanks for your many great videos.
