I don’t get it. Your title and saying is confusing as the Pro version is needed to use ACF fields.

I'm also confused. He probably just included ACF in the title for SEO purposes, cause this video is not about ACF at all.

Lets take one super easy WordPress plugin, a shot of ACF and a sprinkling of CPT UI and lets make more useful custom post listings in this weeks new tutorial!

Admin Columns Free does not support custom taxonomies, the Pro version is pricy. So I manually add admin columns via codes in function.php, not that hardcore.

I asked a question on stackoverflow but then answered by myself.

I am thinking about using this to solve a major weakness of Learndash. There you quickly lose the overview of course content because you want to have user friendly front end names but you need serial type numberings in the backend to see the course content - this might allow me to solve the problem with custom fields.

HOW can I get the ACF fields to show up under the dynamic function in WP?

  • @jmcbade2960

There is a limitation now with this plugin that you can only use the method with ACF and a custom field for one post type. You must get the pro version to do more than one.

Another good resource to know about thanks! I am looking to see if it will work with woo for creating a column using a custom field and getting a csv export.

Not related to this video in particular but I do have a few questions:
Can the product attributes be dynamicly shown in the store, for example through a custom loop?
Imagine the usual store page with products, but instead of just the usual price & name I would like to show more information, for example the size of an apartment.
Now I could use the Custom Fields to create the attributes that way and simply dynamically pull from them easily, but this time I want to see if it can be done with the usual attributes in Woocommerce.
The thing is I do not see any options (in the text editor for example) to dynamically pick a specific attribute (or ANY product attribute for that matter).
Btw I'm using the JetWooBuilder and its templates (usually I used the Elementor store so I'm slightly lost).
Actually what would be your suggested way to create a good e-store right now? Just to stick with Elementor, or Jet, or something else?

Hello Wp tuts, what would you suggest for filtering with acf, admin columns pro or facetwp ?what would you say are the main characteristics?what gives us more choices ?

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

They are different types of plugins. Admin Columns is a Dashboard based plugin that helps create a more unified and powerful Dashboard for you. FacetWP is a front end filtering plugin to help site visitors filter and search for content on your website.

Thanks another great video - FYI - I have used the free version of the plugin with ACF fields - just choose the custom fields option and add in the field name from ACF - works great
