There is an amp bypass wire kit designed to bypass that amp and make it connect to head units speaker wires hope that helps. Also the amps cannot be used with aftermarket speakers due to difference in ohm ratings
@@mookie7626it’s probably a loose connection or bad wiring in general, follow the wire that goes to the left or right side, should be two white wires(left side) and two gray wires (right side)
You probably have this fixed by now or took it out back for target practice.😂 I’m running a Sony stereo with new pioneer 3 way in my front doors and I’m just using the 460 box speakers and amps in the back for better base because I have 2 nitrous bottles and a fire extinguisher in my trunk so I didn’t have any room for other speakers and it was a bitch. Ford couldn’t have made the wiring any crazier and reminded me of working on the ford returnless fuel system in the same mustang when I had a fuel pump driver module going bad and it was running the fuel pump maxed out all the time even at idle 130psi on the fuel rails. I used to trouble shoot electrical problems in semi trucks, dump trucks and other heavy haulers and it took me 4 days to figure my fuel pump issue out working on it a few hours every night after work, dam absolute nightmare with 3 electrical boxes, main PCM and inertia switch all playing a part in just running the dam fuel pump the correct speed to match engine demand.
So I ended up figuring out the back two amps blew. So I ripped everything out.. and put my own system in. Two amps all new speakers ran with new wire. And a sub in the trunk.
@@rob4vsvt443 its honestly the best way to do it, I used a 1000watt amp to run my 4 mach speakers, the tweeters still worked so I left them in and also hooked up a 2500watt amp with a set of 10inch Pioneer subs. She bangs now

Did you use the metra kit? Or you just cut the wires?
