The relationship between The Freak and Terri is one of the most realistic lesbian relationships I have seen on telly in a while and this is from the early 80s! Well done for not making it silly!
I'd make that MID 80's at THIS point.
Ian Findly Yes, it was 1985, leading into 1986. 😃
Terri finds loads off moth balsl behind a leather beat out sofa, Turns out Joan had her legs open!!..While im here!
@@Summer21. That was before the snowflakes arrived and getting offended at everything. As you said 85/86 and they didnt bat an eyelid really
lou's joke was genius am-coffee and pm-tea, then to see daphne burn herself in response, and lous face, hehe
hilarious
I laughed so much I choked on my coffee 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Will Pippa get some respect for her mum and stop calling her Anne.
I know! That is so disrespectful and unnecessary!
So agree with you on this!
yeah she is an ignorant little s***. Hope she gets her comeuppance
And why does pippa keep saying mater to her mother what does it mean. From London uk 🇬🇧
mater. / (ˈmeɪtə) / noun. British public school slang, often facetious a word for mother.
haha don't read if you havent watched the show yet.. but at the restaurant, when the waiter says about Joan's daughter hahaha
Did you notice Kelly touching chooky in a comforting way while saying something I don't think we'll ever know
Another rare glimpse of Kellys soft side x
Louise Jenkins I just about heard what Lou said to Julie when I rewound back to try and reply to your comment. Lou said, "Take it easy, Chook". 😲😃
I did notice that. Surprise!
I love the portrayal of loyalty Joyce shows to Ray. She's aged beautifully and gracefully. I love the character Joyce has. She's kind with an aged beauty about herself. She also does her job at Wentworth efficiently.
Yeah, she's a lovely older woman
Thanks PCBH uploader I been watching at work so got upto 600s lol and wow she is big character in more ways than one! It's been good watching as an adult I was young teen first time round. my mum got me into it so enjoyed reminiscing with her :) best show ever thankyou so much for taking the time to share x
Nice of Pippa to visit Jenny after all this time neither her or Anne give a shit
A.M. coffee and P.M. tea. HAHAHA!! XD
At least Daphne's scream is one up from Alison Paige's coat hanger agony sounds.
8:42... Lou Kelly showing real human feeling!
The storyline regarding Lexie's escape plan doesn't make sense. She's already had a parole hearing recently so I estimate she's only got about 3-6 months to serve. She seems to have no plan for life on the run. She has no funds or outside help. What exactly is motivating her escape?
24:33 Ann is concerned because Joyce "looks a bit vague lately". ROTFL!
Simon It's because Lexie was hoping to get out sooner than later, then she is given 6 months for not admitting that she is "guilty", nor sorry, nor respectful of her crimes to the parole board, which must have frustrated her.
Sadly though, it leads to her blackmailing Merv into funding her escape with clothing, money and some form of ID.
Julie is silly wanting to help her as I sure as hell wouldn't have helped her. She would be a suspect for getting a visitors pass for Lexie as she has close access to any private documents.
Simon Yes, to Ann saying that Joyce was looking a bit vague. I'm afraid that she has been vague somewhere since God knows when in the 500's era, I believe. Haha. 😄
Why didn't Nora push Daphne off the roof and put us all out of our misery? Cass was much more lovable.
@Heather Elliott I'm only skimming the episodes at this point. Myra's death was really the end of my caring anymore. They got rid of too many characters over a short span of episodes and replaced them with characters that I feel indifferent about.
@@ccgrey8731 very true.....I feel the same way! But I will continue on knowing who will be coming back soon and who will arrive!

34:58 I had a housecoat almost like the one Joyce is wearing when I was a kid. It was so warm and comfortable.
lurch: "give her another whack on the nut. always works in the movies" 😂 funniest thing she has ever said.
That waiter won't be getting a tip! 😂
I'll give him a tip.... watch what u say to the freak 😂😂
Seeing Joycie with a storyline is just brill😊
Gone off Lexie in a big way. I like Pat Slattery, wish they'd give her a bigger role
Funnily enough, I have wondered that about Pat Slattery becoming a full-time regular character if the series had continued, with maybe Andrea Radcliffe, or Sue Bailey, following into full-time regular characters too, and being of the kind, caring, considerate group like Meg and Joyce.
They could have had Di Hagen as a Colleen Powell replacement, or to make matters worse for the women, a Vera Bennett, or a Joan Ferguson replacement. Hehe.
They could have been much better future officers for the series instead of any, ahem, new ones, shall we say.
Speaking of officers, do we find out where Joan Barfield and junior officer, Joanne Riley disappear to?
+Summer21 totally agree. Sue Bailey has earned her stripes by now. Di Hagan is the perfect Colleen replacement, and Mrs Ward, she has been going strong for years, they should have given them bigger roles
+rayman760 I totally agree. Instead, we're stuck with simpering Joyce.
Officer Sharpe died in the Laser fever outbreak, she was good.
@@Summer21. I agree. The same officers getting into the same predicaments does get boring after 500 episodes!
The Freaks got a head like a beaten Rhinoceros .
We have to put up with Lexie for a LONG time yet. Jumps the gun - assumes the worse of every situation and every one. Selfish, petty, rude, over-bearing. She added nothing that another better character would have done. The writers made some bad choices at this point.
I liked she found that little dog she named Pocco. I wonder if she was Pepe Trevor's real life pet? Remember Strudel? The gorgeous King Charles Spaniel, she was Fiona Spence's dog. I seen an interview once and she called her affectionately " My Strudel Doodle."
@@sheriheffner2098 Awww but she had to give up the doggo to the real owner (in the show)...
@@KenyanBunnie Yes I remember that.
Shadegat3 Yeah, more's the pity. I wanted to say I like Lexie, but I can't as she is such a pain in the arse. A hell of a lot worse than bloody Bobbie.
It’s almost as though the actresses mother is the producer or something. The whole show went tits up as soon as Marie Trevor took over.
How nice of Pippa to finally visit Jenny
Joan's favourite words are your on a charge and what's going on here
Would’ve been the icing on the cake if the waiter said to Joan… Certainly Sir! 🤪
At 8:40 mark, were my eyes playing tricks on me or did Lou actually show a bit of a human side?
With Julie? I noticed that too.
Yeah. I have always thought that Lou was actually quite fond of Daphne
@@phantomlagger5363 it wasn't Daphne she showed compassion to in the corridor it was Chooky
Lmfao @ the waiter's comment! Joan's face! OML so funny :-D
Flashbacks of my high school days with Nora prowling the corridors “looking for Willy”
To be pronounced with a Scottish accent for added effect.. "Lookin' fer Wully!"
😂
You often get the feeling with a lot of scenes that they actually filmed quite a bit more, but ended up cutting them very clumsily to fit into the allotted time.
If Lexi had been in jail when Bea was in charge she'd have gotten soooooo many bashings.
Joan's definitely the man in the relationship 👨
She does wear the trousers
Eh? They are two women. There is no man. Did you just crawl out of the 1970s?
Sooooo bloody sick of the Lexie character, can she just be bloody gone now, yell yell bla bla yell yell bla bla . From memory she is still round for awhile yet bugger it.
Karla C Yeah, up until episode 650, Goddamnit!
Her mom's the show's producer, so expect Lexie to be rammed down our throats for some time yet
Joyce Barry could always slap a charge on Lexie Patterson for blackmailing Mervyn. Oh well he is in Prisoner until the end of the series.
at 3:39 Joan doesn't make a bad looking guy LOL
Oh my....ugh
God lexi is so annoying!! Lou cracks me up with her one liners
Pippa is the most pretencious snob there is.
Pippa Middleton is drop-dead gorgeous! And the actress who played her, Christine Harris, still looks just as beautiful today (even though she is much, much older, now).
Jack Spratt She isn't a princess, she is a duchess but close :)
boywonder0319 Her name is Pippa Reynolds. Where did you get Middleton from?
Simon Pippa Middleton is the younger sister of Kate Middleton who is married to Prince William.
And Pippa Reynolds is played by Christine Harris. 😃
@@deathstripe1 Neither of them are a princess or duchess. One is an actress, no idea what the other one does
@@Ruby16663 Kate Middleton is a princess and a duchess...🤣🤣🙈🤣

one thing about Joan she probably doesnt need a strap on
Patrick Nabors Your right. Terry gonna need an arm. Annoying slag
How nice of Pippa to visit Jenny after all this time
If she considered her a friend she should not have gone to Japan, And help with Solicitor THEN, Pippa is with no MORALS Cow.
@@benharis1956 Same with Anne, she doesn't even bother to attend the trial. I hate anyone that's related to Anne, her family bores me to death and as for her dry romance storylines. Eugh. Govenor for way too long, adds nothing to the show. She lacks charisma.
Well, she decided to bugger off to Japan instead
@@bernadettelamb54 perhaps she couldn't as she knew her outside the prison
A pretty silly premise actually. The public service had well established and rigorously enforced anti discrimination rules for over a decade at this point, that included prohibitions against discrimination based on physical disability.
He might get sacked but it would not be for his epilepsy, it would be for BSing on his employment application. Even there it is a problem because all public servants, including ancillary staff, were required to undergo an extensive medical and medical records check, there is no way the department wouldn't know already.
Darren Forrester Anti-discrim legislation won't kick in where the person is unable to do the inherent requirements of the job. Like it wouldn't help a deaf person sacked where their job was as a music reviewer. Merv already gave a scenario where the women attacked each other while he was taking a fit. If his duties include supervising the women (which is absurd because he's had no training, except that in the show he does it regularly) then arguably his epilepsy would prevent him from passing the inherent requirements test. In a real prison I assume the cook does not have supervision and security responsibilities directly.
Nora Flynn is the Third Incarnation of the Top Dog and the Top Dog as middle aged , hardly surprising , that she has moments of doubt. Given that the other Two before her were exhausted both their bodies and minds in never ending conflicts and were unrelenting in imposing their will. Flynn was an underrated character and her era on the series has been unfairly maligned. people would have complained if the series had given us another Myra-Bea type at it being too predictable. They tried to do something different with the Flynn era and there were parts of it that worked.
Boywonder0319
I think you mean Pippa Reynolds not Pippa Middleton( the Dutchesses sister). Lexie, Daphne and Willie are all pests and I hope they're written out soon.
Nicholas Dukic i doubt they will be written out soon. this show aired back in the 1980s lol
Yup, I meant in the script. I watched it on tele the first time round you insolent child! lol
Lol Nicholas yes I am young and loving it.
@@liljefe8bet you’re a lot older now. I’ll be younger than you are now 😂
I think Lou has a fondness for Daphne: daphne leathered her and stole her gun and yet Lou had hardly anything to say about it.
Just a pity Judy didn't walk into restaurant saw joan and Terri aka Sharon been funny lol
i've got a right to escape if i want to! lmao*
Can you really be sacked for having epilepsy?
Typical Lexi blaming everyone but herself
Ha ha ha ha that dinner scene with Joan and terry was hilarious
Willie reminds me of Stewie from Family Guy
These domestic scenes with Terry and Joan are hilarious.
Although Noras boring af at least she's fair, if it was Doreen blackmailing someone Bea would be biased and let her off.
I don't think that's true. Bea was smart enough to know that you didn't get on the wrong side of any authority figure who was decent to you.
@@karennicholls8532 Bea used to stand back and let Boreen bully people and wouldn't put a stop to it but the second they'd stand up to her Bea would rush in and give them a hard time. Also whenever Doreen would mess something up e.g the attendance center or her letters to Peter Hope there was no bashings but say if it was Margo or Chrissie or anyone else that isn't as close they'd of got a bashing. There's been many times where Doreen should of got a bashing but didn't.
That is true about Bea.
Great to see the station master from Mad Max in a bigger role. Jenny should tell him to remember her grandma when he looks at the night sky.
JESUS! put some Draino into a glass and force Daphne to drink it. Then her shrieking will stop when her vocal cords are burned off.
Sheri Heffner Goodness, that is harsh. Haha. 😳😲😄
I hate how Pippa calls her mother by her name.
Very disrespectful and unloving xxx
She should be Pulled by her hair by Anne, telling her ' what did you call me'.
My father always called his parents' by their names.
Is it just me but is the show a little lame at the moment.
It seems to have started with the Burnhurst 5.
They should have brought Bea back instead of killing her off. It's the writers who are doing such a boring job with the material. They are throwing in all kinds of plots to see which one will stick. I hope it gets better
All shows eventually reach the end of their line. problem is when you have a hit you don't want to see it end .unfortunately we seem to be rewriting character storylines and everything else. here we go again with another newspaper , putting Julie in the office, etc. haven't they learned by now not to put them in the office.
@@mperry1329 The actress who played Bea decided to leave at the end of season 5 because she became tired with playing the character. So, unless they brought in another actress to play Bea, they had no other choice.
I hear what you're saying though. The days of Bea Smith really did make the show lively
It is definitely lame at the moment.
Yes I miss Cass so much better Daphna
Watching for the 8th time through 2020 sad or what😂😂
Why does Pippa call her mother by her first name?
She is rude and disrespectful.
Ann had a very charming son. Couldn’t they have him come back instead of her less charming daughter?
Swanskog Jsson I didn't like Ann's son either
Anyone want to join the I hate lexi club?
Only 2 it seems
I prefer Kirsty Child as Anne Yates
WILLIE was good with Yates Character Not so much with Fayes Sister character either.
I wish Aunty May was Bea's mate Val that ended up back at Wentworth and positioning the odd head in the steam press instead of knitting cardigans.
Norah is looking for willy Lol
It's just as well that Lou wasn't there to quote what she says after Julie's line in episode 558, at 19:22-19:25 minutes/seconds into the episode lol.
Well Joan certainly isn’t.
14:05 "You could be the Australian test case for PMS!" hahahaha. 44:00 Boring. I imagine PCBH lost many viewers at this point. The Burnhurst 5 is certainly not helping. At this point I am watching to get to the end. It almost seems like it would be an accomplishment.
I am sick of these two arguing all of the time. I wonder are they a couple???
Sunshine S. Morningstar May and Willie are best friends, almost like sisters, who have known each other for years, through Willie's father, who May worked with.
Both May and Willie have had male love interests.
Willie mentioned Henri, her Swiss ski instructor some episodes ago, and May does talk about a man to Daphne in the near future.
Willie's junk is more interesting than I thought... 25:48 - a copy of "House of Dolls", the novella about "Joy Divisions" ... brothels of Jewish Women in Nazi Concentration camps... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Dolls
And I saw "Dolly" magazine.
27.50 You bloody dobber. Means something quite different in Glasgow.
What does it mean in Glasgow?
@@sb6678 Dobber is yet another word for the male member.
9:00 Wtf has Pippa got on??!! Yeuch!!! 🤢🤮😵💫
ANN STIRRED THE COFFEE BEFORE SHE PUT THE SUGAR IN
Lexie, Joan would still search blokes' private property instead of themselves, like she did with Ray Proctor, the previous cook, checking his bag that he would bring to work everyday.
When they shipped the barnhurst lot in after the riot bea was killed in why send this bunch of saps? Ud think they would send some trouble causes we hit a real lull in the show how long till this big character comes in?
23 episodes until she first appears, but 24 until she's properly introduced.
+Jim Mozart I've watched since episode 300 and its starting to get really boring now. Since Myria died, most of these characters have no depth except for Lurch and Lex. Maybe i just like the bad girls haha
+Markyboy28 it soon picks up for the final run in. u really need to watch the 1st 300 eps they are exellent.
Yes. I am watching the series for the first time. I really enjoyed all the episodes up to 400; Bea's last episode. The show has sort of dragged along since then. But, it did pick-up with Myra going inside. Come to think of it, her character is almost an exact copy of Bea. Also, many of the actors were recycled to play different characters.
@@PrisonerCellBlockH95 Hi "PrisonerCellBlockH95", I would just like to thankyou so much for uploading the entire 692 episodes of one of Australia's best ever drama series. Some people call it a cult classic and i have to agree it is. I guess you must be a big fan like myself and many of watching it here on TH-cam. However i have a question to ask you, can you please tell me why there is about 4 episodes that are not available to watch and you have to find other sources here on TH-cam, which is annoying as your channel is by far the best channel there is on TH-cam as far as i'm consirned. I would like to put a general suggestion on here for anyone who doesn't like spoilers. If you don't want to know what happens, don't read the comments, simple.
Matt Lindsay You do make a point and people can like your comment, but sometimes people give away future storylines as opposed what is happening in the current episode (this episode here for example) that people are talking under, so I can understand where people are coming from completely. 😃
Pat slattery seems a fair officer
I almost wish that Daphne had poured the scalding water over Lou's hand
34:00 why do women when they are going to the "bathroom aka toilets" at a restaurant always say I'm just going to powder my nose?
James Quinn I think it's because it was a nicer way for women of any class and of any age in the past, to say that they were going to the toilet, but making it sound like they are adjusting their make up in the venue's toilet's mirrors instead, e.g. powdering their noses. 😃
