I am watching this in Feb 2024 and i am so amazed at the this explanation of the entire Psalm 75. What stood out for me here was the "cup of Judgement of God" as well as "the judgement time". God bless you Pastor David.

Thank you again Pastor David and as I read a new Psalm each day 'with you' , you are always in my prayers. Praise and thanks that Jesus took the cup for me, made me righteous in Him. So grateful that at the judgement Jesus will stand in my place, having died for my sins, He has redeemed me. However, fear, regret and such sorrow that at the judgement, for faithfulness and reward of believers, He will not be able to say to me, 'well done my good and faithful servant'. A life of backsliding, sin, shame, wrong choices and faithlessness. Can there be greater sorrow, ashamed and regret?

Sue, we all have regrets and we are conscious of our sins and failures, but Jesus died for those sins and they are not counted against us. Learn from them, but leave them in the past and move forward with Christ. He is pleased that you care so much and that you are diving deeper into His word. Only a true follower of Jesus would care about the importance of reading His word. Be blessed and move forward! 🙂

He will. "Be still, and know that I am God". Psalm 46:10. This means that the Holy Spirit, God's mediator will speak to your heart and mind if you will listen. He is that still small voice in the very back of your thinking. He is your AWARENESS of thinking. God bless you as you search for this Truth.

17:55 that reminds me of the woman who rides the beast “With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.’ The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.”
