As someone who almost died from a bowel impaction (couldn't poop!), I can tell you it takes faaaar less time for your system to go critical after being blocked up! For me, it was only about six days no poopy when my kidneys started to fail. No bueno, and really fast.

You DONT know the HELL that is constipated diarrhea. It bubbles, but won't come out. The pain making anything else I have seem like nothing, until you pass out on the john. You start drooling and get nauseous, because the body wants stuff out, one way, or another, and that stuff first tastes bitter...then, well, you know. Fortunately I have never gotten to THAT point. But the rest, yup, and eventually, after about 8 hours it comes out, and man...its also the most vile smell you can imagine. Happy Valentines day everyone!
