Scott Walker's Electrician is one of the greatest opening tunes of all time for any film ever.

I'm always impressed by how Hardy went from a very likely career shattering movie like Nemesis and is now one of the most sought after actors.

A lot of great actors starred in terrible movies in their early years and went on to win Oscars. Real talent can't be ignored for long.

@@deepzepp4176 not so much rubbish mate and more so just cashing in I.e the marvel stuff sure he isn't performing his signature skillful performances but thankfully he's earning a ton of money to do so. And good for him to be able to build a beautoful nest egg for himself and hopefully soon he goes back yo doing interesting and compelling characters

@@jaycuthbert245 Well I would say Marvel is rubbish, but sure I understand the financial benefit. The Al Capone movie he done was awful too. But hopefully he does get back to making proper films with proper characters.

@@deepzepp4176 I agree with you mate and also agree regarding the Capone film but I feel the reason for that was the script and story in general was absolutely terrible and he should have never done it. Was basically like an independent movie. I don't feel it was toms fault if he had more to work with and better material to sink his teeth into, as he's proven in the past I think he could have done a fabulous job

Watching the film I kept thinking that Tom Hardy was just doing an impersonation of comedian Andy Parsons.

I finally got around to seeing this as it's been near the top of my list for awhile, at least since discovering what I do like about Nicholas Winding Refn and his vision & style or approach, while is very unique and interesting but also at times frustrating and shallow....(TOTDY) well maybe? Pacing issues? Fuck it Idk. But as I really liked Drive, Neon Demon, Only God Forgives, and of the little I have seen from Too Old To Die Young, first 1 or 2 episodes, very much my aesthetic and tone, sensing that when I give the rest of the series a chance I will appreciate and digest it - just the fucking deliberate ass raping me in the heart & soul of my being where I absolutely love the slow burn & well absorbing pace of 60s & 70s & arthouse sophisticated cinema, it is a brutally cosmic joke of suicidally indulgent proportions the speed and delivery of these scenes! But where was I going with this unsolicited comment? Oh yes, Bronson is absolutely the exact and satisfyingly brilliant film I was anticipating and excited for! Great fun! Darkly Humorous! Tight tension placed precisely and yet allowed to breathe and sustained beautifully. Surreal while also staying well grounded and realistic when called for, brutal & violent at the same time laughably comical. Transgressive character reveal and even an emotional center that called to me, bruised & bleeding as I was tearing up and grateful for the well composed array of authentic elements, each with a sense of their influence and origins. Well done!

It looks great, great soundtrack and I still think it's Tom Hardy's best performance after all these years (that's coming from a huge Tom obsessive) AND I've always been fascinated with Charles Bronson...BUT...It really leaves me cold. Maybe one day it'll click with me maybe not.

Yes this is a fictional account of a real man, but it is not, as Kermode claimed, "a fictional account of a fictional alter-ego created by a real man"; that is just poor semantics. The film is a fictional account of a real alter-ego created by a real man - in as much as the "alter-ego" interacted and interfered with real people.
