This might be the most beautiful factory G-Body that exist. The T-Tops, the interior color, the stripes, etc... greatness. I don't know if I like the look of anything more than this except the Cutlass 442 and some color combos of a T-Type.
I have one black with grey interior .305 cu. I changed electronics. A zz4 Corvette dist.A Edelbrock 650 carb. On and off switch for the overdrive....runs great good gas mileage... Changed GM s electronic transmission shifting......thanks folks
this was my first car exactly. back in 1999. Other than that, it had the grey interior. sold to me by my Dad for $1500. So basically given. he loved that car.I had it for about a year before I did some typical dumb kid shit and totaled it hot rodding 😢 My Dad still hasn't forgiven me 24 years later. He has stage 4 cancer now. What I wouldn't give to be able to buy one for him before he was gone and re-gift it back to him.
THE 305 can be built to make 350 power. JUST don't put in a 350 style cam in there, 112 lca. THE 305 is a small valved engine, it needs a 108/110 lca cam.
I really like the fact that instead of ending up in the junkyard, many of these models have found their way onto dirt racetracks around the country as pure stocks and street stocks.
Hey so I’m looking to restore a Monte Carlo ss. My question is would the value drop down if I do too much custom work to it? I wana do a project car but the issue I’m having is the ones I find that I want to build up the interior is so damaged it’s almost a must to redo the interior. Let me know thanks !
Is the clunking sound at 10:20 in any way related to the power-skid-brake thing that was done directly after? Asking for a friend with 50 years mechanical experience.
Mine is not in as good of shape and it's an 87' but, that's why I got it. And some silly fella before me started switching the interior from Saddle to Maroon so gotta fix that. My interior panels and the rear seat rest are still factory colored. Before I found mine I had NEVER seen this color combo before now there's a non t top with like 30k mi for sale around town lol that always happens but, it's only 1 and mine has T tops so I win 😆😆 Good to know this had red lines in the dash insert panels. I'll keep mine then but, I think I'm gonna get some new ones with gold striping in there instead maybe 🤔
Tan with black exterior in the Monte ss g body definitely looks better than in white monte ss meanwhile a white 80s trans am with tan interior pulls it off better than the Monte ss with interior
It’s A DOGGONE SHAME they’ll bring out every other car EXCEPT the MC, Cutlass & Regal G Body Styles!!! I’m tired of seeing challengers and chargers! This is my favorite besides the Hurst/Olds!!!

this one is quite affordable for the average working american (in my humble opinion)
Nice, a blast from the past. Monte Carlo SS was nice. But, for me, it was always a toss up between the Monte, IROC-Z, and Trans Am GTA.
