here is my current skin care routine for those wondering. If you guys have any must-have products or products you've wanted to try but don't want to fork money into, comment them below so I can try them out!

Could you do a video on your favorite cruelty free makeup
Just curious as to why you don't use cruelty free products and makeup anymore? Not trying to be rude, just wondering if you could clarify!
Ashley Sue as far as I know she does? She uses a lot of urban decay, too faced etc. I know a while back she said we trying to use up her loreal stuff to get rid of it. She also said in the video biotherm test on synthetic skin so I'm assuming they're cruelty free too?
Sophie Scott I think she was asking because the brand Simple which is the 1st cleanser Kalyn showed is not technically cruelty free, unilever is the parent company of Simple and it is known that they are not cruelty free, that said it doesn't mean Simple itself tests on animals but the parent company does
Sophie Scott simple isn't cruelty free and neither is biotherm. She uses makeup brand that aren't cruelty free as well
I saw it too in her recent videos she doesn't use cruelty free products. And she did horseriding in her vacation.But she still posts only vegan food on snapchat. so I don't know. Maybe she is plant based

Just to clarify- I understand that a product can be "vegan" if it's free of animal ingredients- but I've always considered companies that test on animals not "vegan"
It would really help if you told prices for products you’re using! I just looked up the Biotherm Live Plankton and it was $68 which I definitely cannot afford 💀

Hi Kalyn! I absolutely love your channel! You've convinced me to try Vegan and I love it! I'm not trying to be a downer but kiehls isn't cruelty free! I'm not sure if you knew that but I just wanted to let you know!
Madison Derycke most of these products aren't 😔 I love Kalyn but I wish she put the same effort into buying cruelty free as she does buying vegan.

I guess you are not going cruelty free with your products anymore? Given that these brands DO conduct animal-testing, according to PETA and logical harmony. And you should also know that the PR people that you interact with with a given company often do not know the actual details of what happens in the lab you have to check a third-party like PETA for instance to confirm that there is no animal testing done.

Here is a recommendation for vegan AND cruelty free skincare brand "youth to the people". Its on Sephora.ca now and will be going into stores soon! Its in US stores now if you happen to be shopping in the US.cross boarder. In an earlier video you were looking for a cruelty free / vegan? mascara... IT Cosmetics is cruelty free and it just launched on Sephora.ca... stores on 10/1. All of Tarte's mascara's are both vegan and cruelty free👍💕

I’ve had keratosis piliaris for forever as well- on the back of my arms and my thighs. Try Gold Bond “Rough and Bumpy”... when I use it my bumps disappear! 😁❤️

I mean it's okay, that you don't use cruelty free products, but there are some viewers that don't research enough and just buy what vegan youtubers buy & will buy this too. Disclaimer would be nice. I always love your video and can't wait for YOUTOBER! I have one tip (if you don't know this already, because I didn't). Yesterday I went by Kiehls to get some skincare and product advice and they told me that a serum is more effective and goes deeper in the skin than moisturizer (cream). SO they told me that it's best to use a serum and after this a moisturizer and if you don't use both the serum is more important than a moisturizer. So maybe you want to add this to your skincare? I love you and love your videos!! To be honest that new sound effect that sounds like a DING, when you put words on the screen, drives me crazy!! Its so loud and obnoxious and makes me jump every time especially if I'm watching with my head phones on lol. I have the little red bumps on my arms and i used to hate them because i have reeally pale skin and it showed them off since of the colour of my skin but ive learnt to live with it
wondering: having dry skin I don't like to wash my face more than twice a day. But if I do sunscreen, workout, and then feel I need to wash again, (three times total) what can you do to counterbalance that?
I really want to see a book video, coffee talks, a workout tutorial, a decorating for fall-video, autumn outfits, an autumnal makeup look and morning/night-routines :)

my favorite way to save money is to get the equate brand at Walmart that is cheaper than the alternative. I also find that it works so well for my skin. I spent 20$ on toner, acne wipes, and makeup remover wipes and my skin is the most clear it has ever been. Try Equate from Walmart!
Love this video. And such a good idea to get directly in touch with brands about testing, makes so much sense. I feel like this whole parent company etc. is too complicated - in the end of the day a lot of companies are connected and buy stiff from each other so going down to the individual level makes a lot of sense! Thanks for sharing!

I really do love Kalyn and her videos but it’s so disappointing to see someone who used to be cruelty free (or claimed to be) apparently totally throw that out the window and use whatever free products are sent to her, even if they were tested on animals. It’s sad when success on TH-cam changes people like that.

I don't know about your cleanser, but most foaming cleansers tend to be quite drying for your skin.
I get keratosis on my arms and sometimes on my legs too. I've had it ever since I was a kid and can't find anything to help it though.
Great tips! Have you tried coconut oil? You can literally use it for everything - moisturizer, make up remover etc

Coconut oil is the best, literally saved my skin!
i love coconut oil!! i use it when i shave in place of a shaving cream and also use it to moisturize my body. strongly recommend it :)
