Hi Gregory, I've used nothing but the Optical LAN input, it's been faultless. I've not yet tested it with ROON, I'll run it through that and see how I get on. Im not sure where issues could be had here, I've had a seamless experience with it. The control/screen can take some getting used to but other than that I've no complaints.
I just want to use this streamer with an external 10tb hdd. No tidal. No roon. Just plugged into my chord qutest DAC and used as a network bridge. What software is best to use. I'm not good at networking. Currently I'm using aurelic Aires Mini as my bridge and the lightening ds software is an absolute nightmare. I can't take any more of the lightning ds mess. Any help with this neo stream would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Hey Glen, the G1.1 is slightly easier as it is easier to navigate with the larger screen. Streaming in terms of "connect" apps such as spotify/tidal are exactly the same. Other intricacies I have not compared. The G1.1 is far and away the better unit of the two, of course, it has every right to be.
