the woman at 9:57-10:42 is my mom.. she passed away due to heroin overdose RIP natalie! 1976-2013! thank you for posting this video it helps me remeber her smile and laugh..
Hi BabyFace OP, I noticed your post and realized that right around the same time that your mother passed was the same time that I got clean. I also have loved ones who had to find their way in the same manner. My heart goes out to all.. So I just wanted to stop here and say my blessiings .. keep puttin' another foot forward.. there is always more love ahead of us. We will meet in bliss. Much love.
RFK drum circle! Legendary. My Friend Eddie was filmed that year in the circle and the footage played on the jumbo-tron during the show. It was a surreal experience. We were like... what is ET doing on the screen?? lol
I remember seeing these cameras and people yelling at them, its crazy to see people that I remember playing the guitar and making comments about grilled cheese at around 5:50. Pretty sure I rode up with Al from CA...damn what memories. Happy to own my house and be married now.
he says there aren't any fights and it's a shame i saw people fighting at my first show....but it doesnt change how much i love the atmosphere and the music.
I think many people resonated with Jerry. His music would hit ya at the heart. I saw hundreds of Dead shows and toured from 93-95. But, I have only see Further, Phil and friends, or Ratdog..I am not sure whatever else..a couple of times since then. The quality of the music may be better now then my era, but is just not there for me. With the scene..the difference between twenty people following a band on a tour and hundreds is vast. Traveling town to town and everyone around is good company
A mis - representation of the magic that was the grateful dead. A good representation of why the scene was destroyed by ignorance. Still an interesting perspective on a microcosm within the fan base. Peace
I think Phil and Bobby secretly intend to have Furthur continue once they can't do it anymore. Everyone else in the band has a couple more decades of touring left in them!
Hi there, was his last name cross, ..edward cross????the blond -long hair guy?he look like a very special friend i used to know when I lived in Frisco, in the 90s kisses
When people say it got "scary" what do they mean? Seems like there were always enlightened people around, though with a 'scene' so big there's bound to be some bad apples I guess.
@@Long-HairedLuigi well dead and co still tour, but I wouldn’t say there’s really like a dedicated (or deadicated) hardcore following. That pretty much ended in 95.

2017 and i still keep coming back to this video

The Grateful Dead stands the test of time. 27 years later, I miss Jerry Garcia. Rest in Peace!!!
jerry said the music never stopped. phil and bob are more than fantastic for our generation. nothing has changed besides jerry isnt here.
Loved Seeing Kat havnt seen her since she got off my bus at the oregon country fair.
The scene isn't the same anymore. Great memories that all of us who got turned on will nevrer forget!

I'll always miss Jerry. The world ain't quite the same without him.

Seriously?!? That is funny! "It's kind of hard because I'm trippin'..."
all i need is a commune of these people
8:30-Angie G. on harmonica-go girl!
I wish I knew who the singer/guitarist at 4:01 and throughout the 1/7 was. He was great!
What do you think has changed? I was too young to see the Dead with Jerry, but it really does seem like the magic is still in the air.
it would have been better if a older head was making it all the same its nice to revisit the lot

Good timing on filming this, I year later it would not have happened.

someone please post "End of the Road" documentary!
Someone please find out who the guy playing that song is.damn..it's so tasty (~);3
Because I am no heretic.
@thcdreams654 Just a question. But how is addiction, mental illness, and sexual promiscuity not peaceful or loving?
So does anybody still follow the remaining Dead or anything like that?
sort of.
@@berryseinfeld6772 How's that?

nonreplacable and nonreplicable, and almost unexplainable to people that didn't get to experience it
LOT LIFE!
KEITH!!!...left handed picker...gave me a MSG ticket in '89....brother...e-mail me
@thcdreams654 except for the fact that not all deadheads are addicts and have mental illness.
The joke was on anybody that was still touring in 1994. The band was fucking horrible by that time.
@darkstarterrapin Ive been trying too D;
I stopped in 91 , started in 86 full time..This doc from 94 does not look as cool as it was in 87 or so.
annoying ass intro
amazing doc though
