Nice review Chops, I know people who have owned these and all of them are huge fans. They would all get a 765 version in a heartbeat. Triumph need to get on a make a road bike.
Great review Mr Chops! I bought the 765R a couple of months ago, what a great bike! Triumph really have nailed it in the 750 class. It goes like stink, handles well and the fit and finish is brilliant. 58mpg too 👍
Whatsup LC 👍🏻 i owned a Daytona 675R for almost 3 years but sold it April this year. Imo the Daytona 675R is definitely class leader and some. I can tell you exactly what was factory on this bike everything but the rear sets and levers!! All the carbon the brembos the braided lines the ohlins slipper clutch and yeah like you said it has a quick shifter but no blipper which is a huge shame as I’m a massive blipper fan. Ive absolutely nothing but positive things to say about this 675R FANTASTIC all round package. 👍🏻
The Daytona is a bike I am absolutely dreaming of for my first bike under my A licence. I know that's well over three years away but I absolutely fell in love with it after sitting on one in a dealership. I know there are probably hundreds of better options for 600s, but this has what I want - a triple engine, Triumph quality and plenty of torque. Definitely would be doing stuff like bar end mirrors, tail tidy, LED headlights, blacked out double bubble screen and perhaps an SC Project or Racefit exhaust on it
Absolutely love any and every video you put out !!!! Keep up the excellent work!!! Just so honest about everything!! Really helps in our decisions to buy or not !!!
That was so funny seeing you ride my local roads. I have an F850GSA and go hunting for the bumpiest - there is plenty in the Fens! The really bumpy one you went of is one of my favourites that I usually stand up. Next time get to the other side of the A1 (west) find Elton off A605 and go to Wansford. There are plenty of good roads that side of Peterborough.
Great video LC. I owned a Daytona 675 about 4 years ago and I loved it but, having said that, I've loved all of my bikes. Triumph should bring out the 765 Daytona as soon as, with a blipper on it too, I'm certain it will be a massive hit.
Im hoping they will after the Moto 2 project are all sold and out with customers. I think the middleweight class might be in for a resurgence! I think people need to get the litre bike thing out of their system but once youve owned one you realize that actually these middleweights make much more sense as a road bike
great review Chops. Loved it when you were wringing its neck. Sounds sweet! If they brought back the 750 class with the engine tech they have these days, the bikes would make more power than litre bikes were making 10 years ago. Or oat least close. More than plenty for the road.
I had an 04 R6 then an 07 CBR600. But always regretted getting the CBR instead of the Daytona. Great review again. Your bent humour makes up for the straight roads 🤓
The org "out of the box" D675 has very low mounted rearsets as well. And not only that, you sit higher up more on top of the bike than in the bike compared to other sportbikes. On japanese bikes you usually sit in the bike(except for the "new" R1 which feels like an older Ducati sportbike), IE on traditional sport bikes seat is lower and the footpegs are high up making for a cramped leg experience but not on the d675. And again, not only that but the distance from the seat over the fuel tank to the clippons is pretty short compared to other bikes. Only the old Panigale has that as well.
@@LambChopRides Mm, d675 is pretty generous with leg room, I could ride my d675 to far off trackdays(trackweekends) for like up to 6h of one way travel time but doing it on my other bikes was very uncomfortable, and yet I have legs on the shorter side. One thing that upset me with the new d675, the seat/sadle was not as narrow on the first gen! made my flatfooting expatiates a bit harder. On the r1 it is impossible for me because of the hard edge under the seat...
Hey Chops, I know you head to Peterborough a lot. Find the B660 next time you’re up and head out to Kimbolton area. ....and toot when you go by my house 👍🏼

Even tough that might be my next bike 🤣 For real Chops, every review you make is golden ... no questioning that 💪👌🤙 I’m a huge fan 😎
Funnily enough I sold my 675r for a 60th R1, the 675r is by far the best most fun bike i've ever ridden, such a wicked little bike and i hope to be back on one very soon. It's such a shame the 600 market is dead now, yeah 1000s are a great thrill but when it comes to fun you can't beat a little 600.

Where the hell did you get to, was that Peterborough or Mordor lol? Anyway, very enjoyable review & great to see your revisiting an "old" classic in the middleweight sports scene. Despite probably sounding like a broken record, this is where it's at in my opinion. As bigger bikes get faster & more expensive, supersport bikes make more & more sense especially for the road. I'm thinking there will be a resurgence in the supersport scene at some point soonish (he says hopefully!)

Wouldn't hold that hope that they starting making Daytonas again. Can't remember whether it was 44 Teeth or Bennett's but somewhere last week I watched Triumph's head engineer being interviewed about the new Moto 2 inspired Daytona and he said "this will be the last Daytona we make".
What he actually said was this will be the last of “this” Daytona we make. The problem is Euro 5. They’ve used the same Daytona engine on the new Street Triple but with Euro 5 the BHP hasn’t really increased from old Street Triple and the bike is 6kgs heavier. So they need a completely new engine to do another Daytona as you can’t bring out a new bike that’s slower than the old one. Not saying they will but if they do a Daytona in the future it won’t be with the 765
The whine reminds me of the 4 cylinders of 1980s Yamaha. I really like the speed triple very impressed, I'm a power junkie especially torque it's time they upgrade engine say 1350cc. Sorry just don't like anything that don't produce 100+ torque, my ninja ,ZX-14 turbocharger at just 5 psi is pushing 151tourque. Never do a double downshift, lol. Chops how about doing a test on the new V-Max.
I love the dash. I'm still waiting to see a bike that does it better than my CBR 650R that doesn't cost $21,000. The Speed Triple RR is just too ludicrously expensive for what you get. t

I can show you the Good Stuff so next time up here please let me know cause its a shame to be honest! Braaaaap
I've got to agree with Leo on this one...I've got a 19 plate Street Triple that has the fancy dash. I'll be honest it's got too much going on. Just give me the dash on this Daytona!
Ethan Senior I agree. I have a KTM 1090. No tft and it’s fine for me but it’s the first thing I noticed. Also in 8 years time when it starts to go wrong who’s gonna want that expensive grief?
I always laugh at people moaning about TFT screens and the fear of what’s going to happen to it in 10 years time? They all must have the old tube TVs at home that are about 2 feet deep 😂
The nose looks ugly as sin! I prefer the style of the '07 version (biased as I had one!), the version just after was still nice, but down hill after that :-(
Cracking video. Glad I'm not the only person who has a problem trying to get out of Peterborough. Fenland roads are shite. Try riding a 996 on them, let alone a modern sportsbike. So if this size bike is more than enough power for road use; why the H2 😉
Yes it's a fair point! H2 isn't just about speed though I love the engineering of it. But probably this would have it for pure riding pleasure and engagement have to say. Being a larger guy I also look ridiculous on normal sized modern sports bikes, h2 fits my larger frame better 😁

Not an h2 is it.
Haha no, no it isn't 😁
Love the vids Chops but please let me show you some decent roads round Pbor, I live near Elton and also own a 675R but you really need to be shown the good roads because I am cringing watching you going on the Fenland roads that are subsiding and bumpy Wrong Wrong Wrong!!
I can show you the Good Stuff so next time up here please let me know cause its a shame to be honest! Braaaaap
Haha deal Peter 👍👍😁
I've been on the Wansford rd out of Elton a few times. Little traffic and a few bendy bits.
What's it like for a big bloke ?I'm around 6ft 4
it's a whistle not a whine!
Bumpy roads, welcome to our world, possibly the worst roads in the country in East Anglia.
Your house to wheels....🤔. Bit of a pilgrimage 🤣
Yes it is. Shame or I would be there all the time! 😁
Lamb Chop Rides I think Mrs Chops thinks you’re there enough !
Lamb Chop Rides it’s best to get out of that area ASAP as they’ll want you in their gene pool 🍆🤣
👍
All motorcyclist must say I wish I had better roads.
The clocks look a tad dated. What a shame on a great looking bike.
Who cares, just ride it.Lack of tft is a bonus for me.
Returned To The Earth it must be an old man thing. Still gutted my car hasn’t got points and a distributor. 👍
Country roads like that you'd been better off whizzing around urban roads like RN675 did.
elton john 😉
Haha did think that myself while rewatching! 😂
No bends around there. Elton the roads are awful....rutland...or roundabouts
The nose looks ugly as sin! I prefer the style of the '07 version (biased as I had one!), the version just after was still nice, but down hill after that :-(
Stunning machine but a bit dull in the looks department.
