So, it seems like that my favorite Touhou channel of all time "KakashiMr" got terminated. This is really bad news for the 2hu community. I studied for my A levels while listening to 'em classic and acoustic Touhou arrangements - and it helped me writing my Master's thesis at 3 am in the morning almost a decade later. Many memories were made.
Oh shoot, I didn't hear about KakashiMr. That was one of my favorite channels, and it's what introduced me to the Touhou arrangements scene. I remember occasionally going to their website just on the off chance that anyone updated it (they never did lol). The funny thing about that channel for me is that I discovered it after it went mostly-inactive, but I still felt a huge sense of nostalgia over it. It was cool to read the years-old video descriptions and comments, and to see this record of people getting excited over things like the UFO release. What a wonderful channel, sad to see it gone.
touhou was everywhere up to around 2013 or 2014 and lingered outside of its community for a while after, chances are you probably encountered a multitude of touhou stuff back then you didnt realize was touhou and youre maybe connecting the two
@@peeackz4047 now that you've mentioned it, I think I remember I watched bad apple music video(the Japanese one) way back somewhere in 2014 without knowing what touhou was. That was some good memories
@@sardinassailat2119 i used to binge a lot of nico nico douga stuff so even though i was pretty much surrounded by it i never really knew what it was or delved into it until 2015 or 16. it's funny to think that some random indie game franchise ended up having a fan song gain around 100 million views back then when youtube was so scattered. very good timez indeed
I discovered Touhou in 2019. Each day or week I learn something new about this community. Some things can be very wholesome, and others... uncanny. What matters is, to enjoy the wholesome part of it.

The poltergeist mansion trio were the catalyst for getting me into touhou. I'm sad to see them gone.
Fuuuuuuck!!!!!! Noooooo!!!! :c
I'll say, this was the channel that got me into 2hu music, with those god-like Tutti Sounds compilations
Same here!
I was born in 2006 but somehow felt nostalgic even though I only found touhou somewhere in 2019

I discovered this community in may 2021. A year ago... I wish to join the community in 2006
I forgot about a lot of these, it's nice to remember them again.
Even though I got into Touhou in 2013 this resonates with me
