    Are you seriou?. Do you think politicians are looking for responsibility (most of them anyway)? Do you really think that you can (as an adult) just hand over your responsibilities to inform yourself and act consistently to do what needs to be done. I don't give people free lessons in how to reason, or how to care enough. I hear your kind of answer in so many variations and they all boil down to I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

    I am no defender of any of the 'established' political parties, but Varadkar (in fairness) was repeatedly put on this show by his party, when the relevant minister/junior minister should have been there instead. Noonan and Kenny and senior ministers should have been appearing instead. And I'm aware why they don't appear on Browne's show.

    The Irish public overall has to take responsbility. We can blame and accuse our politicians as much as we like, but the public keeps putting these types into power. The majority of the Irish public don't want to know about personal responsibility about changing any of this and offer up the unending 'what can I do' and 'what choice do we have': total denials of one iota of personal ability to do anything at all. Put the blame where it really belongs.

  • @fletchery1
    @fletchery1 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well then tell us, what can we do?These are the people who have asked for the responsibility so why should we not blame them?Why would the ask us to put them where they are if they cannot handle it.We should by no means be taking responsibility, we, as a people have done little to nothing wrong, our banking system destroyed us and our government constantly worsens the situation.

I've deleted my comment now and regret making it.I realise any money made would most likely not go to the Irish people, and austerity would still be on their agenda. Whatever market growth there is won't trickle down to the average guy, and creates a false sense of growth.I just hope no Polish read my comment

    I can't express how disappointing it is to read comments that show such a poor comprehension of our current problems, not to mention the 15 people who upvoted you. Surely, you can relate the neo-liberal policies of the 80's (deregulated markets under the Conservatives) to our failed economy. You exemplify dim whit paddy forever putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. And the Polish bait and switch for the bankers is the icing on the cake. Your ideas are bad and you should feel bad.
