Note: All of the animals harvested in this video were not put to waste.
Guns used: Benelli Montefeltro (20 gauge), Mossberg 500 (20 gauge), Mossberg 500 (.410), and Franchi Instinct L (20 gauge).
Ammunition used: Kent Ultimate Fast Lead (1 oz, #6 Bird Shot).

No rabbits in the stewiacke valley the last couple years, better chance in seeing a sasquatch. managed to find a few small pockets of bunnies down the south shore but still low numbers. seems like they are overdue for a comeback. Only 180 days till hound season again.
Can't wait to get back out! The population was terrible this season. Many days we would only shoot a pair. The dogs would put on 30km and I'd just put my gun down and watch them run. Didn't want to shoot all the rabbits out of our regular spots. Thanks for watching. 😀
Awesome video. Hopefully my young dog remembers how to hunt next fall! I had her out twice since the season closed for a run, goddam ticks are out now.
Yup... Ticks are out now... Hard to believe how early they come out. In sure the pup will do great! Off season time is definitely key. I try to get mine out once per week during the off season to keep their game faces on!
What shotgun do you use? And what ammo?
Most of what I used in this video was a Benelli Montefeltro 20 Gauge, 2 3/4 inch #6 birdshot, Kent Ammo. Thanks for watching.

@@jackcrocker8909 I find it is just a bit to much gun for the cover I hunt. It blows up the rabbits too much. Not to mention the extra risk of shooting a larger gauge around my dogs.

@@Huntingpros I rabbit hunted all my life down here in NC , AND I thought it was tight down here but shucks you guys got a lots of stuff that you can not shoot through
@@bobbygreen2291 Yeah there is definitely a ton of thick cover here. Luckily most of my regular spots have several roads and lines cut through for shooting lanes.
