@Bobby Willingham absolutely. Because, subjectively you could make a case for Chris Turner. Chris is a beast, and super creative and stylish. But he doesn't have what Lyle does.
you prolly dont care at all but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Ernest Mordechai thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
You clearly have not seen much of what Alex can write. Check out his channel. Dude is a machine in his own right. Has written RIDICULOUS parts. But regardless both monsters in their own rights

@@drummermikerocks1 He has never written stuff like this or stuff from the faceless as an example. Thats the whole point...
I hope you see this, 3+ years after your posting. Where are you now, what are you doing, because I am an instant fan?!? I have watched 100’s, if not 1000’s of hours of drumming/drummers and you are hands down top 3, if not the absolute apex. My goodness, I’m going to have to Google you RIGHT NOW! “If you post it, they will come!” (Field of Dreams movie reference...). I don’t know how I am going to sleep tonight??? Hope you are basking in all the success you want, because you ABSOLUTELY deserve it. Cheers
I don't know if his life success is a result of music, but he's a dad now and it seems he's got a stable life. So that appears to a more valuable success to bask in than notoriety for tech death drumming.
Dude your incredible.. such an inspiration. By far my favorite drummer in the metal scene - I have no idea how you create the parts you do but they always accent the riff perfectly and flow into each other seamlessly.
yeah, it's good to see that metal still have dummers of this level of skill and creativity, and the main thing - he is really know what he is doing, not just making a rhythm but making the whole sound just by himself with right accents as you said and making huge support for every riff/time signature, he is surely know how and when use his hands and double bass pedal properly for making just amazing dynamic sound - it's pleasure to hear this type of drumming.
1:24 one of the many subtleties why I love Lyle, he hits the rim, not the snare on purpose. People can argue all about Rudinger in the Faceless being more technically proficient or what not, but he has no own style, Lyle certianly has ! I can just repeat what Josh Schulz said, one of the best DM drummers to walk the earth right now...
@@nigelproctor you are right, it is not only the rim, my mistake. in 1:20 - 1:24 he both hits the snare and the rim multiple times, it even looks accidental but the fact it is multiple times makes me think it is on purpose.
Thanks for being such an inspiration, after loving the sound of your snare for years, during lockdown I've managed to get a tama slp 6.5x14 black brass snare on a good deal, I can't wait for it to arrive! Not got the cash for a performer kit though, fingers crossed for getting endorsed by Tama one day eh? 😂😂😂😂❤️ That hi hat grab just after 0:36 still smashes my mind.
That is an oxymoron if I've ever heard such a thing myself. This is what is possible with complete limb independence! Understanding what to play and then actually being able to perfectly comfortably play it are two totally diff things
Incredibly crisp recording and very well balanced. I think a little more mids in the crashes would do some justice if anything. Playing absolutely ON POINT as per usual. Keep it up, Lyle. B)
+Wesley Ostrander I think so too. I remember watching that popular drum cam video of his at a show in Germany and he was clearly playing single strokes. He looks much more relaxed with the heel toe haha. He was struggling so bad in that drum cam video I was talking about.
One of the best death metal drummers alive.
easily

2024, this is still very fucking catchy and impressive.
It's wild how the human body can be a conduit for such insane beautiful noise
This is pure joy, so dynamic! Never boring, never sloppy!
This is without any doubt, one of the greatest metal drummers existing !! Cheers from Bulgaria!
I don't know if I'm more amazed by your technique or your writting. Alex may have played your parts, but neeeeever would write anything like this.
i agree lyle composes some beautiful drum patterns :D alex can play but not create such serious pieces imo

Why even discuss Alex over here?
@@Frantiqdrummer Because he plays Lyle's songs and many times gets more praise than the original writer himself.
If you read this man. I've been your fan since I was literally a little kid. Believe it or not you influenced the industry in so many ways!
Came from your Prepelled Into Sacrilage cover video, nice to learn that you play in a band. Impressive technique and creativity, good job sir!
Check him out in the Faceless
Still one of my favorite albums. Super sick to see these drumsssss mang

This album manages to transport you in a brutal way, it would be great if they take a second
This is unreal how clean you played this man! New Abhorrent when???
I hope you guys get to tour soon! I wanna see you tear this shit up in person!

You are unbelievably good! I've been playing for like 15 years, and i'm lightyears away from the level you're at. Amazing!
You and Dave Turncran are my favourite drummers. You both are creative.
At 0:35 is one of the sickest hi-hat choke ever. Amazing drumming as usual.

How is Lyle only at 3000 subs? We gotta get one of these big drum reaction guys to react to one his videos. Gotta pump these numbers up!
Listened with headphones so fkin clean... one foot blasts double strokes its all here clean af
Absolutely astonished.. Been jamming this in my car!
I think we deserve some short lessons from one I consider my personal favorite and best drummer of the genre. Come on Lyle!
Amazing skills and great to see that Ginobili Jersey! :)
Still coming back time after time. Still killing it Lyle 💪
Great Lyle, keep sick!!! best drummer on technical bands
best tech album of 2015, Lyle is the man, probably my second fav drummer ever after Sean Reinert
наконец то,да ещё и на любимый трек!невероятно!
I remember hearing this stuff years and years ago when my band mate here in Miami was looking at the guitar tabs that your guitarist sent him :)
lyle cooper for president
i'd give up an arm and a leg to play like this
The irony
I've been seeing this reply of yours for the past 2 weeks every time I stumble upon this vid and I laugh my ass off every time, thanks.
Technically ... O..o. o..O. You wouldn't. Cuz then you couldn't lololol

Mad mad skills right there
... post more of this
This is like watching a good movie
So fukin good! I wish the drum sound on the record was better, i would listen to it all the time!

Not available on iphone 5S ?? Why??
One of my Influences in my bands :D
20 years ago I would've said that what you play isn't humanly possible. My how the turns have tabled.
Full technical 👍
1.13 - 1.35 . The tastiest pattern ever.
Lyle is LEGEND
More videos please
So good
Killin it
3:09
fucking awesome!!
Are you switching between singles and heel-toe now?
I've noticed he started using heel toe more too. I know he did it before in the faceless but not as much from what I remember
+Wesley Ostrander I think so too. I remember watching that popular drum cam video of his at a show in Germany and he was clearly playing single strokes. He looks much more relaxed with the heel toe haha. He was struggling so bad in that drum cam video I was talking about.
Still he seems to use singles, and "struggling" with, but the precision is indeniable. On both: singles and heel toe, perfect accuracy.
Sick as fuck Lyle, keep shredding man! Love watching you play, it inspires me.
This is amazing, but we all want to see some irreversible mechanism!
Incredible as fuck.
