remove the hype and remove the bias, makes things so much simpler. love this video, classic! (reminded me of brewzle blinding with a swing and miss on 107 or something weller)
Just picked up an A124 in Indiana today! Literally taking my first sip right now. Not as smooth or complex as the C923 but man does it pack a punch of flavor
ECBP is always a buy for me, but I probably wouldn’t rush out to get this one or buy a back up. I’m more bummed about the proof than the age. 10 yr 9 months is the youngest, so there is still some good age on the juice. Cheers DB
I agree. It has to have some older juice in the blend. There is definitely some drying tanic oak. But yeah 119 is low for ecbp. Cheers buddy thanks for watching!
This is a great theory. They only have enough barrels to do one older release per year. C922 was the best of that year and c920 was too. I dont remember the 21 batches, as I only had each once. Cheers buddy thanks for everything 🥃
It is not easy. I have done a lot of wait in line for hours events and that is how I got most of them. I have traded for a couple. And I paid $150 for one. Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
We the people have been spoiled rotten with ALL of these ECBP’s… I don’t know of any other widely available whiskey with a 10+yr age statement at barrel strength from a major Kentucky distillery UNDER a 100 bucks. I love that there is some variation between batches, they always keep you coming back for more.
I agree. I have no problem with a wild young one, especially if they can give us an older C batch that I will DEFINITELY buy. Cheers buddy thanks for everything 🥃
I have some of all 3 of last years Batches and another 9 yr store pick I feel pretty good about skipping this one. Thank you for the great review. I think I would’ve left out C923. It’s just too good. Maybe A&B. Could stand out more.
If both are sitting on a shelf, stagg at $55 and ecpb at $90... you are telling me you are buying the ECBP? IDK, I love me some ecbp, but stagg at MSRP is almost impossible to beat. Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
@@yourdrinkingbuddyOh that's the disconnect between us. I can get ECBP in my area all day for $70-75 and recently I was getting them for $60 out the door. Stagg is $175+ every where here.
Russell's 13 would certainly qualify as a yearly barrel proof release. I should gave mentioned that one. Russell's Single Barrel isnt barrel proof. Proofed down to 110. Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
B124 is fire!!
I have heard this!
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Not surprised with the results and thanks for adding to the hype train on the C923.😂
C923 is so fantastic.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Fun walk through, and rather thankful the way it turned out. Added some really interesting converrsation later on. Cheers!
For sure. I always enjoy ecbp. This goes to show it.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
ECBP will always be a staple. Great pour. Was curious to see how this new younger batch fared. Cheers buddy!
I think it is great honesty, just not as good as the fantastic C923.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Very well done blind. ECBP is one of my go to bottles and I have a few privates as well.
Really a good review. Thanks.
I really dig those ecbps every time. Of course, some are better than others, but they are always good.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃

Lol thank you. I usually nail everything or almost nothing, so I either look like a genius or an idiot.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
That statement of “there’s no better value in whiskey than Stagg” should come with a MAJOR asterisk or at least a disclaimer 😂😂😂
I feel like it did! Lol. It is the best value IF you find it at retail.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
I haven't tried the C923, but I personally liked the A124 myself.
I think they are all great, just some ecbps are better than others.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Just picked up an A124 in Indiana today! Literally taking my first sip right now. Not as smooth or complex as the C923 but man does it pack a punch of flavor
I totally like it. It was impossible to follow up such an amazing batch like c923.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃

I've got an 8 year old 130 proof store pick that destroys the A124 for me. I'm going to let A124 to sit for a month or 2 and see if it changes for me.
This makes since. I have had some fantastic private barrel Ecbps. Honestly, some of the best ecbps i have tasted.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
They used up all their old barrels for the c923 batch, my guess is that the C batches will be a higher age more allocated batch than the A and B
This is a great theory. They only have enough barrels to do one older release per year.

Love this man!!
Same buddy! Appreciate you.
Cheers and thanks for watching 🥃
How did I miss this.
You didn't! You can watch from the start now buddy! Thanks for everything.
Cheers 🥃
Huh was on the fence about A124 the tasting notes sounds good but I'm not of fan of dry stuff.
It was drying. Tasty though. Might a try at a bar if you can.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Beard is lookin fantastic buddy, Cheers🥃
Thank you sir! I appreciate it. I grew it myself.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
I cant find stagg anywhere 😢

Someone needs to make a meme of the moment you realized what glass A was.
Lol accurate.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
I will disagree with your statement that stagg is the best value in bourbon. ECBP easily is (for now).
If both are sitting on a shelf, stagg at $55 and ecpb at $90... you are telling me you are buying the ECBP?
IDK, I love me some ecbp, but stagg at MSRP is almost impossible to beat.

Time to spin Rancid - - "I Wanna Riot"
Lol good call.

Russell’s SB?
Russell's 13 would certainly qualify as a yearly barrel proof release. I should gave mentioned that one. Russell's Single Barrel isnt barrel proof. Proofed down to 110.

Cheapest I see is $85, and I’m not jumping for it at that price.
$85 for 10+ years aged Kentucky straight bourbon in 2024??
That is what we call a BARGAIN.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Yes, I can find so many other barrel proof Bourbon’s at 10+ years old for less than $85
Larceny A124 absolutely smashed ECBP A124. It's not even close for me. And I don't like Larceny BP's normally. Give it a try.
I have been eyeing it....
Cheers buddy thanks for watching
ECBP. Is a great pour. Age does matter but it’s All about the smell and taste. Thanks buddy
I agree. All ecbp is great, some are just bettet than others.
Cheers buddy thanks for everything 🥃
Dude you have never been to PPLD? You need to go to Prescott ASAP it is a great place with great food. We go all the time. Love Prescott
I have NOT been there. But I have a GREAT subscriber that has sent me a ton of samples of their picks.
Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
