Craig is right... you're up there with Helen the Bell and Pete the Badge.. in fact, i think you are more important than them. You travel, report, share it and contextualise it in a way no new "ticktock" voice could. You represent our collective consciousness as City fans, you have lived it - nobody knows the City psyche better than you. love you and your work Ian.

Great interview, so much to enjoy and take in, hope City are listening and take note. I'm not often able to get to games these days Ian, so your podcasts are invaluable to me. My first game was at Maine Road on 22nd February 1964, we lost 4 nil at home to Grimsby Town. I was there every week after that, one week for the first team, following week was the reserves in the Central League. But as I say these days I can visit very rarely, so my thoughts probably don't count to a certain section of the City hierarchy. Won't stop me loving the blues though, keep up the great work Ian, and Thank You.

Craig you are obviously a great city fan and I’m a Wolves fan.I want to tell you about a great moment about when City came to Molineux one Saturday end of 60’s or beginning of 70’s. At the time they started playing Mike Summerbee at centre forward, he came walking out to the centre spot to start the match. As he strode towards the centre spot, all greased up in Vaseline, the lady started ringing the bell and he turned round and saluted her like a Roman gladiator and I can honestly say it he looked abs magnificent and it is one of the highlights of my watching football over the years! To me , as a football supporter, what an icon of the game he was! 😊👌👍

Brilliant interview Ian and city probably don’t realise how much you mean to the older city fans, who are being marginalised by technology at the ground and things like FIFA computer games. It’s great that the younger fans have their own identity and are our future, but Graig is right to stand up for the history of the club. And you are part of that history. City+ would benefit from your presence now and again as well. However Ian you are here whenever we need our fix, so it’s City’ s loss.

When they say City is boring it just might have something to do with only one team turning up to play. The majority of matches have the opposing team playing 11 men behind the ball. This is why the Liverpool game is so exciting because they turn up to play football.

All you've done for the club over the years it's scandalous not being able to gain access to interview people. Craig's are great bloke and what a nice interview. • @sandykenuk

Do the club really know the majority age group who follow city to away games? I don't think so, I get to a few games played in the south, where I now live, as you know Ian, met you at Southampton. And most city fans who have travelled, are over 40 at least. Its bizarre, what the club don't realise, and I've even heard pep say the away fans are amazing. Well we don't always get tickets from official sources, because we can't always afford season tickets, or live to far away to go to all the games. But there's never any trouble from these older fans like myself, in fact! We put the young ones in there place if we see them getting into trouble. And for some one like you, to not have anything to do with the club, is disgusting. I'll get off my soap box now.
