FEMALE BEARDS- How to Remove Annoying Lip and Chin Hair FAST at HOME using an Epilator!

  • If you're hairy A.F. like me then you need to have a reliable way to get rid of facial hair at home fast. I epilate because it leaves me smooth longer than anything else. I have used creams and waxing at home to always end up going back to my epilator to remove stubborn upper lip and chin hair. Why you ask? Despite the pain, it lasts almost as long as waxing does with a lot less pain and irritation. Using an epilator does not cause facial hair to grow back thicker so you don't have to worry. It's 100% safe and can be as quick as you need it to be. I have been using the same epilator for 6 years to remove my facial hair and I've never had a problem so I highly recommend investing in one of these gadgets. I absolutely love my epilator!!

    The first time I epilated my entire face I had a really really bad breakout but now my skin is kinda used to it since I epilate every 2-3 days. Also an advice, after epilating immediately steam your face, use a mild cleanser, ice it and apply aloe Vera gel. This will keep the pores protected and clean :)

      You are beautiful just the way you are! You just happen to have an outward symptom of an internal situation. You are not alone. Many women deal with this issue. I too have to remove unwanted facial hair; upper lip/chin area (PCOS). However, I chose not to allow it to affect my srlf-esteem. I love me!!! It makes no difference of what other people think. We all deal with something in this life. You ROCK!

    I've been exclusively epilating much of my body for about 9 months now, and I don't plan on ever shaving again. I will tell you from my trial and error that if you hold your skin taut it makes it much less painful and I find quicker. The first time I did my 'stache I thought I was gonna pass out (I got the sweats), but stretching your lip with your tongue or finger makes a big difference. Also don't give up because it will hurt like a mofo the first few times (especially the pubes), but I promise you get used to it. I feel nothing on my arms, arm pits, and legs when I do it now. My skin is smoother. ALL my hair is now coming back thinner, and some not at all. I've been hairy af since I was a small child, so this is a gamechanger. It's so nice to not have stubble and razor burn ever, and to be hair free for longer. I try to spread the good news of epilation to all the people in my sphere. Thanks for doing this because being a hairy female can murder your self esteem, and this lets people know they're not alone. I know being hairy/hair removal put a little bit of damper on most of my younger life, but now I know it's nothing to be ashamed of, it's just a thing to deal with. At least now it's easier.

      *I've been considering an epilator for some time now. I don't know what brand to get. I want something good, but not too pricey. I have problem areas on my chin and neck. It's so annoying to deal with to sometimes wax, shave, and pluck these 😢 Then I cover the areas with foundation later before going out. It helps my self esteem, so I think about it a lot less. Thanks for saying it makes the hairs thinner! I had wondered that for ages! Mine are dark and thick. I'm so tired of having them 😢*

    I was told to use a hot towel first so your pores open and it helps. Not prevent pain , But helps. Also Pull your skin up tight when epilating it will cut down on the facial jerking some. That plastic part you're taking off is a guard. it protects you from grabbing to many hairs at once. It cuts down on some of the trauma.

    My problem is that I never want to allow mine to get long enough to where the epilator can actually grab onto the hairs, so I just keep shaving every single morning. Of course no matter how close a shave I get, the tiny black dots always remain, and by the next morning it's too noticeable. I may just need to suck it up and start epilating instead.

    It's better to concentrate on one area at a time because your face soon becomes desensitised to the snagging of the hairs. It's hard going sometimes, especially for those really thick hairs but over time as you tear the roots out and damage them they become weaker and eventually don't cause the growth/appearance issues you once had. Great vid.

      @AsiyaIammuah  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Trucker Reena omg thank u for sharing that!!! I didn’t know that!! Cuz I noticed over time after using the epilator hair stopped growing in some areas and some hairs got even finer.

      @@AsiyaIammuah Well, as a trans woman I've had my fair share of facial hair issues, the dark hairs I had taken off with laser treatments. At my age though I have some grey hairs which can't be targeted so my only other option is to either shave which can leave rash/marks on your skin from the raised areas or to epilate which as you know can be quite painful. I found your video as I was searching to see if there were any people out there just as crazy as myself putting themselves through the same torture lol. I don't use the epilator on my face as much as I'd like to because it's so painful and because of the time it takes for the skin to settle down again, enough to be ready to return to work anyways ;) I've seen positive results on other areas though so I know it works in reducing everything to just really fine hairs which most of us can live with.

      @@AsiyaIammuah Icing? I'd be too worried about skin damage from the intense cold of the ice. Maybe slapping your face first to get then endorphins going would help? Nah, I'd rather just deal with the pain. As they say, no pain no gain.. ;)

    Ok so I just used an epilator for the 1st time on my butt (yes I know 😭) when I was younger I didn't know peach fuzz was normal I thought I was an alien. So I shaved it! And yes it made it worse, because instead of smooth hair it's now thick and course. Anyway I used the epilator I tried against the hair growth, sideways, in circles, it DOESNT DO ANYTHING! Yes it's grabbing lots of hair, but I don't know if it's pulling it out or just cutting it off, because in no way is it smooth!! It's just worse! It's super short and course and stubbly! And I went over and over it until my arm hurt so much I couldn't continue. But I went over it about 50 times! Still stubble and course! What a waste of time and money! Is this supposed to happen? Because I hear some people say it isn't smooth smooth like it is right after shaving and some people say it's super smooth? So what's up with this? I got the Brain silk epil 3 so not a super cheap one but not super expensive either. Regardless I don't think it's gonna work for me period? 😓

    I have to try this. I tweeze and it takes a couple hours to get all the dark hairs off of my chin and neck. Then I get tired of tweezing or don’t have time and shave. Then comes the stubble. I’m much older and mine started with just a few hairs on my chin after my hysterectomy. It is so much worse now, 23 years later. Waxing does NOT work. It doesn’t pull out those coarse hairs. I will definitely try this. Thanks for the video!

    I just did this yesterday. It was really horrible with male facial hair. There was lots of bleeding and pain. I should have cut my hair shorter and exfoliated before hand. There's pimples and wounds from where it is bleeding from where it was uprooted. My neck/jowl area was the most sensitive and got some breakouts. I had no problem with my cheeks and areas above and below my lips. The chin area just got some bleeding.
    Using aftershave and moisturizer really soon might have been a mistake.

    Lmao, I used an epilator on my neck hair, trimmed them and all but my God it was painful! I consider myself to have high pain tolerance, but yikes. Anyways, I was almost done and my epilator has become faulty - some tiny part came out and went down the sink 🙄 and one tiny part is just laying on top of my drawer. Had no trouble with pubic hair, which are coarse and tough to remove

    I know of people that took whiskey shots before epilating....lol...I did both of my legs from like bottom to top, when I was younger...and omg, it hurt like a bitch...I actually had just little areas where the hair never even grew back, which was very weird,but I found out I couldn't use it anymore...I had red bumps everywhere, and rashes all over the place..not to mention later on ingrown hairs..so I never even attempted to use it on my upper lip, or chin...my skin is very sensitive, and of course those places face wise is even more sensitive...so I do use that flawless thing now...but yeah the bad thing about it...is like the next day you have stubble and shit already....I used to use tweezers for my upper lip and chin, but it was so time consuming...and of course after that everything I did would be bright red for like 2 days, and the hair for me grows back really fast even pulling from the root so w/in about 2 - 4 days it would start growing back already, the same w/ waxing, I give it not even a full week and it's growing back already, but when I had that epilator way back then, it came w/ numbing cream, and it didn't work for shit, so I have no idea, and even came w/ moisturizing stuff to put on afterwards, so you wouldn't break out, rash wise, and was supposed to help w/ the bumps, but it didn't work for me at all...but yeah I know how bad it can be with excessive hair growth...it sucks majorly...and the shit women have to go through, just to try to remove it, is unbelievable. My sister and I both have pcos, but even if we didn't, I think it would have ended up the same, the hair growth wise, because my mother, and pretty much all her sisters, which she had like 5 of them, all had the same issues, but yet they never had pcos.

    • @AsiyaIammuah
      @AsiyaIammuah  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      woww ur a trooper for that. id never have the guts to finish. tried once to humor myself and didnt last 30 seconds but that sucks the way things turned out. that flawless remover caused me to grow a goatee after i used it.. i stopped shaving after that and now my chin hairs look like cat whiskers lol. i just posted a video about it today actually. youve tried all of that with no luck.. i think its crazy what we have to go through, its PAINFULLLL and dehumanizing. i read somewhere that doctors think almost half of the women in the us have pcos and arent aware of it. the symptoms blend with so many other things. i got checked for pcos earlier this year when i thought i had it..and i don't. im going to get a second opinion so i can be 100% sure im hairy because of genetics and nothing else. women inmy family are also naturally hairy too.

    • @cam121375
      @cam121375 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah well I was going to mention this in my comment but I didn't, because it is embarrassing as all fuck, but w/ you making these videos at least people know their not alone w/ this type of shit... when I was younger...my sister was in cosmetology, which I went into as well later on..but anyway...I had about 3 - 4 noticeable hairs below my chin, almost on my neck area, so I would just pluck them....my sister decided one day, that since she learned in cosmetology about the waxing shit, she said she would do that on me, but she covered from where those hairs were almost all the way down to the bottom of my neck, and of course did all of that area, not thinking anything of it, and I got almost like welts from it...and then I noticed my hair started growing in thicker and darker, and I had hair all over my neck, which I never had prior to that...I might have gotten it anyway later on because of the pcos, but I think it like stimulated the hair to grow at that time a lot earlier...so I already got it before, even being diagnosed w/ pcos, that wasn't until years later...so do I believe when people say you don't get anymore hair after doing something like that...not entirely...like I said it probably would've happened eventually anyway, but I really think I wouldn't have had that hair growth in that area until almost 10 or more years later, where I never even had hair at all...I mean everyone has very fine hair all over their entire body, but you can't really see it or even feel it..but going from having like 3-4 hairs underneath my chin area, and going to about at least 40 - 50 that grew in where I never had that kind of hair before, it was totally fucked up, and if I left them go..they will get just like a man's beard, but in sparse locations, just like my upper lip, and chin...if I left it go...it probably would turn into that as well...and that shit happened back when I was about 15 years old..the whole neck ordeal, and it wasn't maybe until my mid twenties that I started w/ the hair on my upper lip, and the chin area...and then when I was 30 I was diagnosed w/ pcos...and even another thing that happened was around the age of like 32 I had to get my gallbladder and appendix removed...so I had hair on my stomach but it was fine and you couldn't feel it, couldn't really see it either, it was like blonde, well before surgery they of course had to shave my whole stomach...well when that grew in it now was my hair color, which is brown...and it grew, so now I have to shave that shit also...the only people that knew about this was like my mother, sister, best friends, and my aunts, on my mother's side of course...but none of my boyfriends ever knew, and right now I have been w/ the same guy for 12 years, and he has no clue about it, because I will shave everything, till I would be bleeding, just so you could never feel anything......because yes some may not be able to tell even if you have a little stubble...but when a guy is touching your face or neck, and now in my case my stomach, he will certainty feel it...so even with that damn finishing touch thing I use now, I go over my upper lip, chin, and neck every day, and even it says to do it in circular motions and go lightly over your skin, if I do that it doesn't get every hair all the way down so you can't feel it, so I go up and down, and side to side, and I press as hard as possible, to make sure it is completely smooth, also because my hair grows in different directions, which sucks ass as well...as for my stomach I shave it w/ the venus razor, because it is the only actual razor I found that cuts the hair right to my skin, for it to feel smooth...and as for the finishing touch thing it doesn't do anything to my upper lip or chin rash wise, but my neck probably from not going in a circular motion, it will still cause that area, to get all red and almost like the feeling of having razor burn...sorry so long...but I wanted to explain it more...because it does suck...and it makes you feel self conscious...it's like, it's not enough that women, have enough shit to deal w/ to begin w/...but than just add more shit like this on top of it...ya know!! I really wish I would have taken after my father's side of the family, because my grandmother, hardly ever had any hair anywhere, she even told me when she was younger that she only had to shave like once a month, even under her arms, her hair just wouldn't grow, and she also had surgeries and shit where they had to shave her....and no hair ever got darker, or just seemed to form afterwards...anything like that, and she said by the time she was like 40 she never had to shave again....she like lost the little amount of hair she did have except on her head...I'm like wtf...why couldn't that have been me!!...I'll be going and watching your other video as well...sorry again..so long!!

    Hair in weird places on the face and other places is due to hormonal imbalance-what you eat, your environment, etc. Supposedly you can correct it, but so far I still have pesky hairs under my chin!!

    • @AsiyaIammuah
      @AsiyaIammuah  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      idk about that. I've been checked out by a doctor for imbalances and my test results came back normal. It can also be caused by the hair removal products too, after using another product, the finishing touch flawless I noticed the hair stopped growing in the same pattern. The hairs above my lip got shorter and the hairs on my chin got lonjger. So thats proof to me all of this hormone imbalance talk is nonsense. These products on the market can alter us and do god knows what. This happened as a direct result from using this product. In all the years of epilating it never happened to me.

    • @tmcdgreen
      @tmcdgreen 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good you don't have an imbalance and are pretty healthy! Unfortunately, imbalances are very real and many women (including me) have to deal with it long term, especially if it's caused by genetics. But I agree, it can be caused by products we use as well. Finishing Touch allows you to touch up your face everyday, which stimulates hair growth for most people (no one waxes or epilates every day, that would be painful!) and the circular motion causes hair to grow in different directions, much like using a disposable razor for underarms in different directions instead of just straight up or down. A massaging motion in places you don't want hair (unlike your scalp) doesn't help things. Glad you found what worked for you!
