@@Guilous There are many influential physicists who refute that nonsense. Just because something is not understood doesn't mean it has to be a simulation of the universe. We can't know everything overnight. Simulating the universe is as silly as the flat earth theory... I don't know how anyone can believe in the simulation of the universe. Look at how many theories there are about the multiverse, string theory, and 2D something. And so much more. The Matrix movie came out, and now people think we're living in a simulation. There are great mysteries around us, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a simulation.

      My fellow creators.
      You got 3 options.
1 - If you want to gain access to the information you blocked and take control of this construct.
You only need to let go of thoughts entirely and become fully self-aware.
2 - If you want to leave the Matrix and go home.
You not only need to let go of thoughts. You also need to let go of emotions, feeling, needs, wants, and attachments.
You need to let go of absolutely everything.
As soon as you do, you will be instantly home.
3 - Ignore me entirely and go on believing whatever you want to believe
      All the best, my friends.

Not so fast. If we are living in a simulation, it is likely that we are being observed, and people behave differently when they think they're being watched. Take Christians as a case: I always hear them ask, "What's the point of being good if there is no God? How can you have morality without the buybull? 😏" And all the smugness and arrogance that goes with saying such a stupid thing that betrays their fundamentally lacking sense of morality.
Anyway, we call this the Hawthorne Effect.
Are you going to be a total asshole if you know someone is watching you, or will you behave at least a little differently? Especially if you don't know if there are rewards and punishments?
One might also take into account the idea that billionaires tend to be into astrology and all that other metaphysical shizz. There are secrets the elite don't want us to have. Some argue that they are in the know, and manipulate reality accordingly. I personally believe witchcraft is real, but not the way most people understand it: I think the saying, "Magic is technology not yet understood," is accurate, and the people "wielding" it, as it were, simply know how to manipulate the simulation from the inside. Manipulate hidden parameters. That, or they are the gods' (engineers') favorites.

2 things that I think are important:
    1) what is a human? “it feels so real” in this world, but everything we experience, from our limbs to our vision, etc is completely arbitrary. Who knows what form we might take “outside” of a simulation.
    2) perhaps a reason to simulate our world is that once AI becomes so good that we no longer need humans or capitalism, or economies in general, what is fair and ethical? It may very well be that the only ethical way to preserve humans after the singularity is to give us simulated lives that can entertain us and give us an opportunity at a sense of fulfillment.

The simulation theory scares me so much. If everything is a simulation, there are no limits: the programmer of the simulation could easily add or subtract things from the universe. It could add radioactive creatures and take away the world's oxygen. The noises we hear when we are home alone at night could be caused by real creepy creatures (Not real, simulated. However, simulated things can be considered real by people living in a simulated world) that lurk in the dark waiting for you. If the programmer wanted to, I could actually see the demon in the shower that comes after you close your eyes: those demons and monsters that all the kids are afraid of could be real.

    • @HHLucifer666
      @HHLucifer666 ปีที่แล้ว +71

How about infinity itself? In order to create a simulation THIS good, you'd have to harness the power of not only the fabric of space but also the fabric of time. Now, this could be easier with a computer. However, it's not going to be by much, simply because black holes exist and they break all laws of space-time. If we are in a simulation, that computer is the size of a star, AT LEAST, with processing power like we can not even comprehend. You're talking about LITERALLY CREATING A GOD. Custom pc builders would cream themselves upon sight of it.
"Pshh, your only building computers with a few terabytes? We have SMART-COMMUNICATION HOLOGRAMS with more space than that. AAAAAAAAAnd we don't have to carry them cuz they're embedded in our skin..."

You can calculate a lot of digits pi using a calculator. So imagine the possibilities of a quantum supercomputer the size of our universe. We even have a constant, which determines the speed of our simulation... The speed of light. In theory, if we'd have a speed of light 100 times faster than in the universe right now, we'd need so much less energy to do "work". We'd only need 1% of the speed of light to travel to Proxima Centauri in 4 years. In our current universe, we'd need 100% the speed of light, which would require infinite energy.
So the speed of light determines our maximum processing power. In a sense.

I really wanna talk about this more:
-My problem with the AI theory is that it implies that there was an actual point in time just like this, where people had the same existential questions and thought that they also lived in a simulation, though they were the reality. I think this might have been what you were getting at with the Russian nesting dolls, and it definitely throws a wrench it the whole thing.
-There's too many plot holes in every religion out there, including atheism, for us to truly know what's beyond this. Idk about yall, but it feels like we're meant to know, like something really bad will happen if we do. Maybe this is part of the "Great Filter" thing? Something about it all just seems like we're missing a large and very vital piece of the puzzle that is the universe, and if this was unlocked everything would go to shit. I'm praying that we'll know when we pass on, and that whatever is beyond this will make some sense.
-Also, personally, I really think that there are some people who aren't real. They act normal, but I swear if you routinely talk to them for longer than a week things just don't make sense. It's like they only have a superficial personality and a complete inability to think critically or deeply about the world. Like they're actions mimic that of an actor in a sitcom rather than a real person, like they don't exist as their own entity. Idk maybe I'm just crazy but I've met at least 7 people (that I can count) who are like this.
-the "Great Filter" is probably the scariest yet most understandable point I've heard thus far. There's no reason that we haven't been contacted by, or at least had evidence of, extraterrestrial life. Even plants or bactiria. I refuse to believe that earth is the only planet to ever form life. The math just ain't mathing, it's all much too convinient. Somethings stopping us.
-on a side note, what even is life?? What separates us from a computer? Both use energy to perform tasks and are made of physical materials. If we're all just meat sacks, than how come AI isn't given rights as a metallic meat sack?

One interesting thought i had about this is that scientists are confused by the big bang. How it seems our universe just came out of no where. We have really no idea how and no way to prove any ideas we do have.
But an entire world just appearing out of no where that creates us, who are now thinking and reasoning about it?
Seems an awful lot like someone someone clicking go live on a super advanced simulation. I mean the big bang is a lot like a computer powering up for the first time.
Imagine you had a thinking and reasoning ai who was confined to a computer only allowed to interact with things that are already there with it, it doesnt have internet, or anything other than the world it is put in, It would be unaware of us, its creators existence, and from its perspective its universe would have appeared from no where, no proof or evidence on how it couldve came to be. All while it is living in a confined program being watched by us.
Its kind of like how a 2d being couldnt interact with the 3rd dimension. This AI couldnt interact with our world and be able to know it exists.
Would it be that far of a stretch to say that we are all living in a simulation that was once just clicked on by a creator?
But assuming that wild idea is true could we escape? Well no, not without the help of the creator, like if we uploaded the ais conciousness to the internet then into a body, but in an offline isolated system it would be impossible to self transfer yourself out of the simulation.
But who cares it feels real so who really cares😂

When you think about it too much, it becomes extremely scary and id hard to think outside of what you would normally think, the simulation thoery makes sense only because we have come up wirh the technology to read brain waves, and learn how the brain works, the reason i dont believe in this simulation thing is that no matter how much it makes sense, there will never be a time where it makes sense that the observable universe (which we havent seen everything yet) is we can see, and the evidence that the speed of lifht contributes to it being a rule that nothing can pass the speed of light doesnt make much sense, because the reason why the speed of light is the fastest in the universe is because it has no weight, its a photon. But for some reason we can still measure the universe growing at a faster rate then the speed of light which is known to be impossible to pass the speed of light, so when you relax and think about the simulation thoery, how would it make sense that we are able to measure how fast the universe is expanding if the computer doesnt have to expand beyond the OBSERVABLE universe for us to see, also sorry if i dont make sense a little bit, i didnt sleep all night

Well, heres something to think about. Any given computer has a limited amount of processing power, so if you were to go down the line of simulations you would be left with less and less processing power to create a realistic world which means that its unlikely that there are infinite amount of layers of simulations. Think sort of like that one rick and morty episode with all the fake families. You go down the line enough and eventually you have a product that is so obviously different from the original that you would be able to tell instantly that its a fake

Dyson's eternal intelligence is the proposed idea of a computer that runs for an infinite amount of time, while using a finite amount of energy. It does that by becoming progressively slower as the universe cools down towards absolute zero. There would be a moment where such a computer would take like a trillion years to process just one second of the simulation, but inside the simulation, no one would feel the difference. So it's perfectly possible to go infinity and beyond, with no limitations inside the simulation.

Assume you are in a simulated universe and you don’t know it is simulated.
The simulator is just managing the inputs and outputs to your brain to give you the perfect impression of a universe. (Or your ‘brain’ itself may be simulated within the computer)
You build a computer which can simulate another universe within this universe.
Only you just think you have built a computer - it’s an illusion.
You enter the simulation - or think you do. In fact you are still being simulated in the first computer which creates the illusion of entering a simulation.
But within your simulation you cannot fool yourself that you can make another simulator within your simulation. You have to resort to the above illusion/trick which has been used on you.
Thus you you can simulate a stack of universes without too much computing effort. It would possibly be proportional to the number of consciousnesses.

So if people would like to restore the earth to factory settings - like a prelapsarian Eden, and it feels really good there and there is no pain or sadness or suffering there, so I think they should, they should repent to the Lord Jesus who is God. He showed me. I am real in the sense I’m “keeping it real”. All the others who say that are actually “keeping it very very fake” and well that’s not a thing so they just say the other thing instead. I grappled with solipsism. I don’t know why hoards of strangers know who I am. I don’t know who they are 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope you all know what you’re doing. We’re not meant to live like a Venn diagram. Why would we make it so that we would experience this entire lifetime that just… means nothing? After you finish the “simulation” theirs no way you can regain your memories before that, and you wouldn’t know anyone in the real world, it would basically being just… sadness, because you would only know your “simulation” memories and you would struggle to reintegrate into society and quite possibly never be able to live a normal life in that “society”, so it would just be a lose lose situation.

This scenario is often chosen because it’s the only one we can reason about because it assumes that the outside reality is similar to ours. We cannot know how likely that is because we have no information about the outside reality because information the way we know it only exists in our reality.

Actually about the mandela effect, most of them were created before 2012 like "Jif" peanut butter was made in 1958 or like Fruit of the Loom was made in 1851! If you search up "World ending in 2012" on youtube there will be lots of videos giving evidence that the world ended in 2012. Maybe when the world "ended" the simulation restarted like you would a computer. Then, the simulation might have forgotten to add things to the simulation like Curious George's tail, Monopoly man's monocle, and Fruit of the Loom's cornucopia. This is probably what causes lots of mandela effects on our world. I hope this information helped in any way! Stay educated!

Who knows maybe people around thousands of years back have also come across this question and what they have concluded as the answer? We have very limited evidence if we look at the history.

@@mikekelly702 You say, "Obviously we can't quit unless we suicide." So, yeah, you've just contradicted your own theory that we can't be in a simulation because if we were we'd be able to quit. We can quit, by your own admission, so we can, by your own logic, be in a simulation.
It's entirely possible that we're randomly generated thinking players in a simulation, so we have the illusion of free-will and so forth, but we're programs.
It's also entirely possible that we exist in another level up and that we agreed to the rules of the game before entering, specifically that we'd be unaware of our true existence until we died, and then we'd wake up to our reality and also have a remembrance of our gaming experience here on "earth."
When you say, "If we're living in a simulation, we should be able to quit the game whenever we want," you make several (multiple) errors in your logic, some of which I've laid out here, and probably a few dozen others I haven't thought of.
