Outstanding info. I had a trailer tail light not working. I had a blown fuse so I moved the "spare" marked 10A in the yellow holder until I could buy some replacement fuses. Then the air bag indicator light came on. I had just changed the 12V battery and the service department thought this was the problem - NOT!. Replacing this "spare" fuse in yellow holder corrected the situation an no more Air Bag light on. Thanks for pointing me in this direction for such a simple fix.

So you took out the fuse in the yellow holder, had a problem, and then replaced the fuse and it went away. Interesting.

My system ( i think has a dead ORC lamp in the cluster)
I would drive and hear a chime. My Scan tool listed 10 Oms on the passenger side when i disconnect the yellow clip, and then 2.7-8 when connected. At first i saw the drivers side at about the same valve and the passenger side at about "ohms". I think the wires and pins looked good, but maybe touched at some point. I untwisted them ( as they were twisted together)., and added some electrical tape. Now, on to see when time offers and see about fixing the lamp on the dash. When i would start the car the manual states 6-8seconds of lamps illumination, but I see no light on the cluster. So bulb probably dead.

Hi! New to the channel! Just got a 2008 Jeep Commander in White. I have been obsessed with it for a long time and finally got it! It already has 176k miles so I have to do everything I can to keep it for as long as I can! But found your video because I do have this light as well as the tire pressure light on at all times. I will follow your suggestions to see if it helps. But when you say scan, what do you use to check the codes? Thank you and excited to see more of your videos!!!

Thanks Wilma. The tyre pressure may just be a dead sensor. Not expensive to buy and tyre shops should be able to fit them.
Yes checking the codes with a cheap code reader. It'll usually tells you exactly which seat and part is giving you trouble.

does anyone know a relation of that light coming on (generally has only happened on a hot summer day) and making my hvac blower not work at all? and then sometimes possible 15 minutes later the airbag light will turn off and i can use AC again? (06 grand cherokee laredo)

My 2008 GC has the exact same issue. Seems to be related to outside temperature.
Airbag light comes on, AC turns off.
      No idea what causes it.

@@jessepalmateer8709 still haven’t found a fix but i definitely hate it. i’m thinking it’s that fuse box under the hood. any issue i’ve ever had in my jeep always involves something powered by that fuse box

@@jessepalmateer8709 did you ever find a fix?

@@finnsfann98 No, and I don't anticipate it to be an easy find.
I don't remember when it started, but it mat be related to an accident my wife was in some time back, which required a bit of front-end work.
Since then, the ambient temperature sensor bracket just behind the front grill broke and i rigged it back in place.
Not sure it's related, but I considered disconnecting it to see if it made a difference.
I'm in Florida, and it does seem to act up more when the front of the vehicle is facing the setting sun in the afternoon.

Same problem here with jeep commander 07 3.7L. All three go off and come back at the same time. Have no idea what's causing it. It might be cursed. 🙂

NO CODE SHOWN ON OBT SCANNER BUT LIGHT STAYS ON

    • @MrCveedub

Has the seat ever been removed? The manual says to take it to the dealership because they need to do something to recalibrate the airbag. I bought mine at auction and I know for a fact the passenger said has been removed because I had to bolt it back down. I have no codes and the light stays on.
