Helena NEEDS her own talk show, I could listen to her ramble on about anything for hours. She is such a hilarious, random, gorgeous, amazing, talented and versatile actress, how could you not love her???
@@rrrusty49 Yep.. and the scraping noise amplified by the poor, echoing acoustics of the room and/or poor recording equipment. Thankfully, THR improved their production mechanics after this early-on actress roundtable.
"Natalie, what did you think when you got the script for 'Black Swan?' Helena - "Yippeee!" So funny. Helena kept that whole table laughing. Sure, Natalie couldn't do anything but laugh with Helena. :)
This is my favorite roundtable. The actresses get along great and that allowed them to completely relax and let us see them like they really are. Plus, the fact that they are so different yet compatible allow the interview to be both fun and interesting.
I don’t agree. I think Helena & Amy both are really connected. They’re all connected except for Nicole. Good actress, seems like a good person, just in the clouds I think. I think her career has done that, though. I don’t think it’s her. She did marry Tom Cruise after all.
I love when they're saying that Amy got the roll Hillary wanted and start cracking up like a bunch of hooligans. Really cool to see all these lovely ladies just cracking jokes and laughing it up
wow Amy Adams.. this is the 3rd episode of roundtable I just watched and she is the only recurring actress and I must say I don't feel like I have had enough of her. I do like her. She is very sincere. Goodluck to you babe!
Helena Bonham Carter has taught me a lot in life. She's basically saying " Be yourself" don't pretend to be the person you aren't that's not what life is. You go on and have fun! She is the whole reason why I want to start acting. She means the world to me. I understand other people say this too but I really, really mean it from the heart. like nobody understands
It is very nice to have the actors/actresses talking about their experiences professional or personal like this. If more people watched these, paparazzi and gossip magazines would be almost out of business! They are sharing their real lives to the degree that they feel comfortable. And people are always curious. So here you go. No ad interruption, no 10-15 minute interviews ....Great job The Hollywood Reporter. I wasn't aware of this program. Recently finding out that you tube got it all! : )
I really wish they would just pose a question and then let everyone share, instead of going off on a tangent with one actor. It's about the actors, not the interviewers.
Helena and Amy are my faves they are just so gorgeous and lovely. Helena is so unique and Amy is just this adorable woman. They both are some of the reasons i turned lesbian.
Since "Getting It Right", any time Helena Bonham Carter is on a screen she has my attention. I would love to hear more from her about her experience as an actor.
Helena: Funny,Hilarious, beautiful and she's awesome. She lighted up the interview. Natalie:The most down to earth of them all. She's so sweet. She's my heart.Love her so much Annette:The best, really love her performance in the Kids Are All Right. She's so cool Nicole:I disagree with the negative comments about her. She's actually a calm and relax person. Hilary:She may talk too much but she's fantastic.Really love her movie "Million Dollar Baby" Amy:She's cute as always. She's incredible pretty.
Why do the interviewers always interrupt the actors? Or they never acknowledge what someone has just said and just move straight on? Just curious if any one else thought this rude?
Why all the questions are kind of sad? Is this interviewer in a sad day? the actresses are making this fun specially Helena, if not it would be hard to watch for an hour. For example, what would you do if you wouldn't act? Come on, you've got some of the best actresses of our time there to talk about acting and their amazing life.
I've watched quite a few of these roundtables now, both men's and women's roundtables, and both for actors and directors. I have to say, this one has become my favorite. The chemistry between these particular actresses had an extra "spark" to it. And made the hour especially engaging. Plus, and this matters, the interviewers didn't interrupt them as much as they often do.
Budji Tresvalles I really enjoy the actors round tables too but the actresses are just that little bit more interesting and I'm not too sure why. I think it may have to do with he fact that females in the business look out for each other as they know its hard to make it as a woman, so there is an immediate comfort felt when a group of them get together, hence the more deep, more personal conversations.
Lewis Bavin You make a good point. On the other hand, maybe the guys this season just weren't the creme of the crop. Imo I think they just didn't have chemistry. They all had completely different personalities, and way too much variance in film experience. Ruffalo was awesome tho
Have always loved Annette and her acting! So very talented, so many different and heartfelt roles. I think that she is one of the very best actresses of the past 50 years.❤
I just love how every time Helena speaks thing start to turn chaotic. I just think she is sooo brilliant. It was nice to see a open and honest discussion amongst genuinely talented actors with a great deal of experience of the industry. I love how when even these level headed, intelligent ladies start to get carried away talking about all the awards hoopla and expectations of dressing up and always having to look a certain way & then HBC just states the obvious which is.. well... just don't. Sh
4 Gemini women: Annette, Helena, Natalie and Nicole. no offense to Hilary and Amy but these women have something different they are genuine, pretty, funny, talented and brilliant. I love these four women.
Agree, he totally ruins it and interrupts what are interesting conversational threads. And he always asks roundtable actors that stupid question, "What would you do if you weren't an actor?" Enough with this question, already!
Watched this yesterday, 10/11/23 @approx 6pm EDT. Loved it! Interesting, talented group of kick-ass women with insightful, intelligent, candid, funny , heartwarming, revealing, informative conversation! Great to hear how much they love acting and why, etc❤

I think the concept of a round table interview was kind of lost on the interviewers. It would have been nice to hear what that actresses had to say instead of having the interviewers repeatedly interrupting them.

So it makes sense she doesn’t “go back” in the sense of rewatching herself etc, she’s prepared enough that she just goes forward with confidence and let’s it all out.

like if you're here for helena
And Natalie
i love how helena interrupts the interviewer. gives him a taste of what hes been doing to everyone else. god i love her
I love the way how Helena has to have Diet Coke, Water and Coffee on like every show 😂😊
Carla Boyling it's like her system
Literally
AHhahahahha Yessir makes her iconic! she can be herself
They should have let Helena Bonham Carter facilitate this interview.
Ohhhh so much SAME. ;D
lets all appreciate how Helena was really funny and talkative at the beginning, then just sort of got bored, and went silent
mad marty basically me when I'm with my family lol
why appreciate that? 😄
maybe a bit sulking because she didnt get to say things she wanted, I wonder what was her story when she had to say stop on set

I love how honest Helena is. And Natalie's voice is sublime!
Helena is hilarious, she is like whatever you guys are talking about, "I want my mints", lol Natalie got diatracted too, she made my day!!
The table is rectangular.
Lmao true
LMAOOO
Lol
Hmm
Shhhhhhh LOL, don't spoil the illusion with reality. ;D
My favorite part is when Helena opens her Diet Coke.
Or reaches in front of Annette (while A. is talking) and scrapes the tin of Altoids across the table.
@@rrrusty49 Yep.. and the scraping noise amplified by the poor, echoing acoustics of the room and/or poor recording equipment. Thankfully, THR improved their production mechanics after this early-on actress roundtable.
i live for nicole's complete silence until she is physically prompted. "me?" >>>
A classic introvert.
She had to check cause they passed her by, very ignorant. She's made to feel irrelevant. They are very ignorant interviewers.

I watched this for Helena
Helena is just the perfect pretty English girl with wonderful eyes... I had a crush on her after "A Room with a View"
