Thanks. Yeah, in reality a guy like Nathan would destroy a guy like Jim but it just didn't feel write putting a minor character like Nathan with such a lack of feats at #1. If we had seen more of Nathan, he could have been one of the toughest soap characters of all time.
Tyrone knocking Kirsty over was technically an accident so it doesn’t count. He was accused of abusing her but he actually didn’t. She was the one abusing him.
Several higher than Len Fairclough who I think was one of the harder of Corrie's hardmen. At first I wouldn't have put Tyrone on here, but he is quite a tough man. An honourable mention would be David Platt, he can be a tough one. Another would probably be Jez Quigley but he relied on his cronies, plus he couldn't fight Jim McDonald on his own, who definitely deserves his place at the top.
The older guys are definitely tougher to rank, being from a completely different era of the show. Len/Ken/Mike/Fred could have all been ranked higher or lower. David is nowhere near this list, he's had a few good showings but nothing noteworthy. I considered putting Jez on the list above Steve but he relied so heavily on intimidation and never did anything impressive as a hardman.
