I will never forget the episode of MaCenna tearing apart that kitchen herself. It really showed me how the things we’re told as consumers/homeowners are only as limiting/costly as we need them to be. Enough research can lend itself to some amazing savings, and MaCenna’s salvage level with the floors and windows has been so amazing to see. Incredible amount of work i cannot even imagine it all. You have the patience of a saint! When you are all done will you share the ALL IN cost? Including everything, not just materials but the architect, contractor etc. It’s going to look SO GORGEOUS

Your videos have been such a HUGE inspiration to me, and the updating of our new "1949" home. Although we're not going to the complete extent that you are with your cottage. We have done a lot of updating with paint, flooring, carpet and other things. Yet, keeping it to the original build. Thank you for sharing all that you have. I TRULY enjoy watching your videos.

Almost an hour of MaCenna's content! I feel so lucky! Can't believe that content like this is free for us and I feel so grateful to have found this channel during the lockdown in 2020. I was obviously already interested in DIY and home decor, but MaCenna, if you're reading this, you have colored my own dreams a whole new shade and added sparkles to them. As women.. we normally aren't taught how to do things like this... I'm thankful that my Mother and Father taught us how to do DIY's ...how to look at things and see how to fix them, how to measure and make things the way we want them to be! My Girlfriend and I just bought a house! It was built in 1917 AND during the inspection the guy mentioned it had the weights in the windows and asked if we knew how those worked because one needed fixed. It was such a good feeling to both be like yep we know what we're getting into before he had a chance to explain it all. The only reason we know is from watching you tirelessly take apart and paint the windows 😂 pretty much like we've done it already!!

I joined you on this journey last December when you were sharing your Holiday decorating and New Year videos. What a awesome year you have been doing so much and building your dream Cottage. The MaCenna who started the year has changed and grown so much stronger and more confident in refining and growing her skills. You started off needing some more help and now if time wasn’t a factor I’m sure that you would do everything but you have learned to give the bigger projects to other and focus your energy on refining the details and saving thousands through all the blood sweat and tears that you have poured into the cottage. Never stop striving to be proud of all of your hard work.
When I tell you it's been a pleasure, I mean it. Your videos helped me get through an incredibly tough year. While I'm not doing great, seeing people like yourself work on amazing projects helps me look forward to my future plans and projects. So happy for you, can't wait for more!
