Hace muchos años yo tenía una jaula parecida a esta... ni idea tenía del valor que suponía tenerla puesto que no sabía el trabajo que llevaba fabricarla. Que bonito ver este trabajo... y cuanta dedicación!! Es una maravilla!!!
I found this. No English but, after seeing this version, you can probably imagine accurately what they are doing there. Same skill in the same city. Just done by different family. th-cam.com/video/saIkcEnseV0/w-d-xo.html
google translation: Suruga bamboo thousand muscle work started mainly as a samurai's internal job in the early Edo period. Various shapes were created from the technique by using bamboo such as bamboo, Moso bamboo mainly, bent supple thinly rounded bamboo stick, and incorporating it into the circle. It is roughly divided into 4 steps of "Hiko making" "Ring making" "Knitting" "Assembly", and almost all processes are done by one person.

must be a fullfilling work using bamboo knowing that you didnt have to cut down decade-old trees which would have provided shadow and excess water to fauna and vegetation otherwise. bamboo truely is the way to go it grows fast its though flexible and u dont have to process it at all. depending on he application u dont even need to let it dry like what other woodtype has this qualities?
