    Danny. Awesome work! Again. You should build a post-apocalyptic diorama for your cars: The background miniature scenery in which you could place your new PA- vehicles for photography. Maybe some kind scrap metal dump site/junkyard/'carbandon garden' in which your 'Diecast Disasters' garage and workshops would be located (built of course following same internal logic, architecture, colors, a levels of withering and style etc. as your PA-cars) and there would be enough room on the diorama for different sized vehicles to be placed at the front of it/middle of it. Different scales of cars could cause some problems, but as you have had delightful, creative and rather free tendency to use what ever parts and materials available them not always being in same scale with each others, I don't think that would be insurmountable issue, particularly not in photographs. You could even use some of your already finished post-apocalyptic projects as an integral part of the diorama.
    Just a suggestion. Anyway, whatever... you got a new fan. :)

    Love it. Especially love the detail of running a cotton bud over the windscreen to simulate where the wipers have been. I've checked all 3 builds now, can't pick a winner, won't pick a winner. They're all great. All 3 of you have nailed doing skulls!

    • @2H80vids
      @2H80vids 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I liked that too but, if you look closely, you've got the sweep of the wipers back to front - not a big deal but, once you notice it, it's quite obvious.☺

    1 year later, and I just got the feeling that a Rockstar games employee seen this video and took inspiration for the impaler in the arena war update, the meaty rear tires, the side armour, even the skulls may be a modification for it, I’ve never owned one but I’ve sure as hell seen one

    Very nice build! looks awesome with a little failure. Due to the massive frondshield the car has no lights to the front! Nightdriving therfor is impossible. Little cutouts in the frondshield or a lightbar on the rooftop would solve that problem. Amazing paintjob.

    You havw amazing skill. I know you do build offs often, but what about working with somebody who does miniatures? I dont mean just little people but landscapes and such. You could have a stage for your cars! Like have something similar to a desert with some miniature buildings that have been painted to look withered... really set the stage you know?

    • @DannysDiecastDisasters
      @DannysDiecastDisasters  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have some diorama stuff coming up, the 1/64 scale people and buildings are a bit tricky to find tho. Some of the HO stuff is OK. I have found 1/64 figurines online tho so I will get some 👍

    I really like the car. Like you said I really think you got it just right. I like that it's not to much but real for once. I give this challenge to you. But I have to say I really like all three!

  • @adamfeder7125
    @adamfeder7125 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Very very cool!!! Each of the three cars came out unique and it was great fun to watch. This one came out beautifully, sir! This may sound strange but I think the treatment you gave the wheels is incredibly realistic. They don't look like they are on a 1/64 scale vehicle but on a full size one. Terrific work as usual.

    Very cool build. Sometimes less is more in the post apocalyptic world. If you go back to the original Road Warrior which is the best movie in the series ,the cars had a simpler gritty look, which is the look I prefer than the over the top fantasy vehicles of fury road .

    I love the theme and how it turned out. Only thing that comes to mind is unless the car is a daytime driver, there are no headlights or spotlights for night time. Just an observation, then again I'm caught up in the moment as if it's a real car. Hahaha!

    Great build Danny!! I've been thinking about armor plates - seeing yours is (ahem) DRIVING me to try it! Could you have added some weld lines or bolts or rivets? Also Amigo, is there any way I could convince you to give the wipers a thought. I'm into TH-cam over a hundred resto and post apocalyptic vehicle projects... maybe 10 have windshield details like yours, but gol-dang if I can find even one where someone puts a sharpie on a wiper. Maybe I'm missing something.?. Last yours is my vote. Is there voting?
