PINS is a lot of fun, but I swear, every time I think I've cleaned the last of the sand out of the jeep, I find more. (New subscriber from Texas)
Awesome, number 200! And yes, I still have sand from this trip! Because of how windy it was, there was just no way to keep it out.
Which makes me nervous taking mine there cause that means SALT!
Awesome ride! I have a ‘14 Rav4 I’ve taken down to a little past the 45 mile marker at Padre Island National Seashore. That place is awesome… This is the first video from your channel I watch. Subscribed and look looking forward to watching the videos about the Sportage. We need another PINS trip video!
thanks for subscribing and watching! we ARE planning another PINS video for next summer, where we will camp at the cut, BUT, i GOTTA check the wind situation first, we slept IN THE Kia this last time because it was a sandstorm outside!
@@KiaDave Yes! Last time I went same thing happened to me… small dune on the side of the vehicle and everything! That’s when I decided if the wind forecast was 25mph or up, I won’t go.
I like to go fishing down there. Not much equipment is needed to pull out some fresh redfish or whiting!
Love to see a different vehicle
i am editing my dumb comment - i totally misunderstood your comment the first time. i'm very sorry for that and thank you for appreciating my oddball 4x4!
I bought a Kia Sportage in 2001 super cool to see one of these kitted up!
Badass
Thank you!!!
I’m ready to take my Tacoma down there
Beautiful vehicle, I have a 2000 tdi, what rim and tire is yours using? hugs
Thank you! They are 35x12.5-15 BFG km2 tires on 15x8 American Racing AR-23's.
@@KiaDave I don't speak English so sorry for any mistakes (google translator) thanks for the answer, had to cut the car to fit this tire
@@MrRastaman999 yes, front fender and the body behind the fender had to be cut and plated with new sheet metal.
david please add links for lift kits.
Ok so lift kits is a thing you get for Jeeps. For the Sportage, it's parts. Some parts from here, some parts from there. I have Picorp extended forks plus eibach discontinued springs plus a small 3/8"" spacer up front. And I have Ford Aerostar coilsprings out back with no mods. Now, I have lengthened all the rear links with him joints, but you can use other joints and methods. The I did a 1.5" body lift, which is really just 1.25" due to the bolt length.
What is the bracket for the hood lights?
I think I ordered brackets for a Chevy Silverado, but both hole do not line up, so I used a self tapping screw for the other hole.
@@KiaDave year of the chevy?
@@KiaDavelink this product?
