That was his Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney who coughed. He was signaling Trump to shut-up about turning over his financial records to congress. Trump used Mulvaney's distraction to pivot on his response.

I am in a discussion with a Trump supporter. He reacts exactly like this, does not address my points, thinks the world of Trump and hates the "lefties". He even thinks the "lefties" should be suppressed by Trump and does not see how that would affect the democracy.
Trump's behavior during the interviews (that he agreed to) with Stephanopolous is that of a man who surrounds himself with 'yes' people whenever possible.
He cannot cope with criticism, even when based on provable facts, so he (in the case of the car) literally walks away and in the other interviews just sits in his closed loop of "no it didn't, that's not true" denial.
I guarantee you the minute Trump got out of that car, he tried to have Stephanopoulos fired.
He probably wanted George ‘shot’, but settled for fired, because trump wasn’t near Fifth Avenue with a gun.

I agree 1000%. But I wish he had done more to prevent Trump from becoming President. It's sad that he was blocked from doing more good things and many that were done are being reversed. As much as I love Obama, I now think we'd be better off if McCain had won in 2008. I don't think we would have Trump if that had happened.

Mulvaney might not have to have seen the actual statement. All he would've had to do was watch some news other than Fox and watch what Trump says and does. From his position it would quickly become obvious that he's hiding his financials for a reason, likely criminal, and should continue to do so.
