Thank you Dr Bergsma. "If you were walking towards Jerusalem at Passover during the first century you would have looked up and seen the temple and from the side of the temple a fountain of blood and water would be gushing out. People would confess their sins to the Hebrew priests and present their animal offerings for sacrifice on the altar. So many animals were slaughtered the priests would be standing in ankle deep blood which would be washed out with water through the channels to outside." (Dr Pitre)

This was fantastic! All of the morning meditations from the St. Paul Center teach me something I didn't know before or deepen knowledge I already had. So glad I added them to my morning devotional. God bless all of you!

Dr. Bergsma thank you for this teaching. I only request a stronger emphasis on the symbolization of the Heart’s significance even in the secular world for that is where the order of all true and beautiful things come💕 The beauty of truth, goodness, life and sacrifice occur which defines Love itself in all classic literature, music and everyday life itself♥️🙏✝️🕊🌹🔨🗡

Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
Heart of Jesus Sacred Temple of God - have mercy on us.
Should be a civil holy-day as Dr Bergsma says. Charles Coulombe at catholicism org goes into wonderful historical detail about this solemnity.

@ Christian T- The Holy Spirit is the teacher that Leads us into all Truth. Theology is the study of God. The only way for one to know God Is to Have a personal relationship with Jesus and do not rely on man.
      Psalm 118:8-9
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
      John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you

@@alison2161 thank you I started the chaplet of the Holy Spirit. Don't get wrong I am educated in my faith. It's just that theology is so fasnitaing to me.

Do you have any thoughts about the skull of Adam? I was looking into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and found the story typologically satisfying.

Solemnity at times is great. Hopefully, its not your ONLY facial expression. . .Recall Jesus' words in Mt 6:16. . .Sounds like your boss, doesn't it?
