good review, thanks! I bought this model in 2017 and have been happy with it, mostly for stills, low light, etc. I agree it is not good for video! it compact enough that it goes with me on trips and canoe backcountry. although not heavy duty, nothing has broke yet.
The jerking during panning and tilting may be the deal breaker for me..but at the same time.. IM POOR... and i need anthor tripod
I bought one of these. Applied some lubricant on my already smooth parts. Now they function really good.

I just purchased one of these tripods. You must have received a defective item. My panning wether horizontal or vertical is super smooth. Did you loosen the locks before attempting panning. My tripod looks irentical to the one you show here. For sure its a cheap tripod with many plastic parts but treated with care I can't see any cpmponent failing prematurely...but I guess time will tell with that. I paid £20 for mine and I'm very happy with it for such little outlay. For sure you could spend more and get a tripod constructed with better materials....but then again you will have to spend more money.
I also buy q111 only USD 12 only ,so this price i not complan

It's the "vertical shooting knob". Loosen the knob then the whole top plate swings towards the knob. ***Be careful that your camera is secure enough to be turned vertical. If possible position your tripod so that one of the 3 legs are on that side right under the knob(supporting the weight); if its between two legs then it will be of balance and fall. I hope this helps. ***ALWAYS use a weight on the bottom hook***✌🏾

Q111 somei it just needs running in like your car or bike it is all ok with a bit of use
Saw this on eBay and the plastic Parts and jerky movement are no good as I would use it to shoot video. I'll keep looking. 🤨

Thank you for the video - what is the hook that is under the plastic connectors? And how do you use it?
If you're out and shooting on a windy day you would hang something heavy ie; a bag from it to hold down the tripod to reduce the tripod shake when filming
You can put "DW40" on the moving parts and you solve the problem.
Its called WD40
So you can then transfer that to your lens and your camera. Hey, why not use duct tape instead of the tension screws? WD stands for Water Dispersant. Dont know about DW........
Does it have a phone holder?
Zomei Q111 is better or Zomei Z666? both look almost the same and specs!!

I then later somewhere heard that Zomei Z666 is just a later version with some improvements!
