I learned to drive truck in two old 600's one dump truck and one with a flat bed. I could reach the pedals when I was 10 and used to buck hay with my best friend. We would take turns driving and when we were 14 we drove all over the county for the Retired Sheriff and my friends uncle who shared a hay and horse stable business. We always had a half case of Rainier beer between the seats after we left the field and one after stacking in the barn. We hauled more hay in a day that 3 or 4 kids getting towed around on a trailer. Lots of memories good times.

Love the ford truck with the stacks. The fact that it has a flathead V8 makes it very cool. Just owning that engine, weather it runs or not is a cool piece of automotive history. That's the engine that revolutionized automotive technology back in the day.

You know, I always liked Chevies, but as you said, I don't like getting locked into one brand. Especially these days, because all this old elderly iron has survived this long...I like the forgotten makes, Studebaker, Desoto, American Motors.. These old trucks are all cool, all makes and need to be brought back....
That Ford needs to be restored being that it's in good shape.

Okay, this is CTR when it's best. Im over the moon, about meeting Bob for the first time! That 3-0-2 is real good truck/hot rod material, and bulletproof!
Sad to see homer in the state, looking forward to seeing him brought back. But a re-gear (rear end swap), and keep the migty mouse with a SM465 in it, or a Cummins 12 and a NV4500.The NV4500 came in some Chevys, and also comes in a SAE bell version that fit the Cummins. Make them swap-ready 😜Love the F6 and Flathead too.

We have a 57 GMC "That's what Ive always been told" Its a 2 ton farm truck with grain box and hoist. Hasn't been started in a few years. It has a small inline 6. Ours has the push pedal beside accelerator to engage starter ad also a vacuum 2 speed selector on left side of dash. Our grille is different than the one your videoing. Sure do have a lot of memories driving that old pig, never had any power super low up the hills and hang on down the hills. Lots of play in steering and 99 percent of the time no brakes. I enjoy your videos.

Have you ever thought of getting some door signs made for him? May I suggest a circle with Classic Truck along the top and Rescue along the bottom and a cartoon character of Homer big and bad hauling butt to the next rescue in the middle.....just a thought. Yup! He says in absolutely so many words that he is kidding. Kidding is not the same as hating. He made his joke, then he made sure that all you morons who want to get butt-hurt were aware that it was nothing more than a joke. If you want to call that "hating" then you're probably a hater yourself... Look in the mirror when you say the word "hater'" and/or "hating"!
As the old saying goes, "I would rather shove a Chevy than drive a Ford!" and I agree with that phrase overall, but I drive an 18-year-old Ford Ranger (her name is Jezebel), and wouldn't sell her for less than DOUBLE her KBB value! Any other questions?!?!?!?

So, are we talking about a New Bighorn that will require a loan or an old Bighorn that will require a Commercial Driver's License? Can't we just call this one that I rescued a few months ago a Bighorn? th-cam.com/video/oJO4PCWuo-g/w-d-xo.html Because I am most definitely not a Mopar-Hater.

Hey Rick I'll personally vouch that I have NO PROBLEM with picking up 1950's Ford trucks. People have to realize that your business is being able to make money from this and Fords of certain years are very popular and collectable. Good score on this GMC and the Ford....Lee G

I once found a neat old 55 gmc equipment hauler, wanted to buy it and told my Dad about it thinking I could borrow some cash to get it. He said no, you don't want no 55 GMC the dang motors are one of a kind in-line sixes that year, they run in reverse direction that year. Ahh perspective, to me that made it special along with the reverse snorkle mirror in the roof so you could see the equipment was still secure on the back. Sad, part before I could get the cash together a biker group that rented a building on the property lite a pile of pallets on fire and burnt the motor all the way into the firewall. Didn't leave much. But what a truck. !!!

I came across your videos yesterday and I realized that you live in Oregon, so did I. I use to live in a small town called Milton-freewater. I grew up with ford trucks and I'm not against them at all. I do like all the old trucks back in the 50's to late 70's.
