20 SECOND SUMMARY 1. Avoid complication. If you're an experienced channel marketer, stick to your best channel, otherwise paid Facebook 2. Get to 500 to 2000 followers on that channel 3. Offer two price points simultaneously - one at $100 to $1000 for an online course, one at $2000+ for group coaching Thanks
Intuitively this makes so much sense, I never comment on videos, but I was thinking that sticking to one would be faster but most people say it’s limiting. This video really resonated with me, thank you so much for the great advice🙏🏽
Great video -- This has always confirmed what I thought about funnels, and all those complicated optins/tripwires/$7 offers. I never pulled the trigger on starting my business because the #'s didn't make sense looking at traditional models.. i was thinking "HOW do people profit when they're advertising wimpy free ebooks/courses" first off, people are getting weary of free ebooks in exchange for an email, and then when you get their email, there's huge dropoff in people who will even see or open your email, and then there's another dropoff in people who even click the link in your email. by the time you advertise your main course via email, few people see it. sure, you could put a $7 upsell right after the free optin, but what if the MAIN offer you want to sell, for around $500-$1000, is 2-3 upsells deep? Why hide your main offer so far into the upsell process? Few users may even agree to purchase it at that point. It's also a pain in the ass creating all these "cheat sheets" and tripwire offers, when all you want to do is create an awesome course and advertise that solely. plus, you lose all the people who may be interested in your main course but dont give a rats ass about your cheat sheets/tripwires. there are just too many barriers/hurdles in the free optin and upsell models. That's why it's better to put your mid ticket/high ticket offer as soon as possible, doing it through the webinar method. Once I learned this, it lit a fire under me and now I'm hustling getting it off the ground. With webinars, Parker Walbeck gets a 7-8x ROI to his $800 filmmaker course, and I know others typically see 2-3x ROI to their $600+ offer. Less bullshit / barriers in this model.
I agree with this. Here is my example: I just received an advertisement about a $3 e-book. The book is about how to sell art online. Most likely somewhere deep in that rabbit hole there is an online course for a couple of hundred dollars. And you see, probably I would participate in the course straight away, but I cannot be bothered signing up for for a cheap e-book, read it, and wait for the offer that will happen “at some point”. I much prefer the direct approach, my life is scattered around already enough. Although, I do understand that these sellers want to create trust / engagement before they sell.
Always amazed how the best videos don't have tons of views. Great content man. Love how you keep thing simple. My strategy is very similar. I post a ton fo content. I do use ads but only $1/day on retargeting. CTA is alway a strategy session. It makes business so easy!
Retargeting is awesome 🙌 And thanks for the comment. TH-cam seems to have massively cut my reach lately. Do you run a coaching business or what do you do?
@@TillBoadella Yes! I have a coaching business, my own membership community and several courses on podcasting. Just begin putting out a ton of content on TH-cam. Twitter is my real home @TheCoacchChris_
i dont mean to be off topic but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me
hey very great content! One question please: When do I know is the right moment to launch my product first time? And is there a recommended way by you HOW to do it? Many thanks!
You are so convincing and inspiring! And, you clarify for me that I already have a seed audience!!! And, where I can create my High Ticket Item and how I’m committed to creating an online course. Thank you!
Thanks for video,it was great:) but I have a question: you advise people to focus on one platform, though you get concentrated on many of them and you also collect e-mail adresses.I mean that you have a rather complicated funnel, but don't recommend people to do so.Why is that?
If you are targeting a teen/ young adult audience can high ticket be 1k? I don’t want young audience to get sticker shock and click off. I’m sure most people in this age bracket have parental $upport. So they can afford my high ticket to purchase for their children. Perhaps I’m being small minded. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
The median salary for ages 18-24 is $36000. Most make more. If they want it. They will buy. Thus demographics spend $250 on a pair of sneakers and over $1000 for an iPhone. Convince them by providing a good product.
Hi Till, great content and advice man! Question, if I may. Wrt using FB as a platform, to build this audience would you do that on the business page or create a FB group? Many thanks!
Follow other people in your industry. Go through accounts that follow leaders in your industry. You interact with these followers like a real person. If they like you they will follow. Do that until you have customers. Only REAL ORGANIC WAY. also the best way.
Good stuff. But you start by saying that all of those social media are not needed and that making an email list is a waste of time. Then you discuss the value of having a trusting audience of 500-2,000 and growing the audience through (I assume) email leads generated through courses. Not sure I really learned anything here. =(
I'm sooo happy see hundreds of people excited about online course industry! Those who're just starting, keep going!

This is the opposite of what Melyssa Griffin teaches - and I much prefer this!!
This was actually really good. Usually, these types of videos are crap. Good stuff.
You are so convincing and inspiring! And, you clarify for me that I already have a seed audience!!! And, where I can create my High Ticket Item and how I’m committed to creating an online course. Thank you!

I recommend using a personal profile in the beginning. You'll have a better reach.
@@TillBoadella ok cool thanks for your reply.
Till, your the man. Thank you for this new approach. Going to watch this video again because it was that helpful. -Sage
how to build seed audience from scratch ?
How much one should keep the price of high ticket course? And wouldn't be the value same in both types of courses?
At the end, you are contradicting yourself with the free offer. Or am I wrong?
This was much needed, thanks!
“Email marketing is dead” - (morning brew and all the other successful businesses built on email marketing entered the chat)

So why facebook and not youtube ? TH-cam works more like a search engine and thats great for a educational channel
This is just VALUABLE !!!!! Thank you so much.
This is revolutionary, congratulations !!!
Great video on how to sell an online course
It would've been nice to know how to create that seed audience you talk about.
Could join a Facebook group, interact with people, and friend request them. I have 2.5k “friends” from my niche I’ll start warming up soon
Thank you for sharing this- great ideas and tips on selling!

Did you learn this from Scott Oldford? :)
Thank you so much for this valuable information man!
I love what you are throwing down. I want to do this. I am an expert looking for validation.
I don't know how practically it will gonna work.
But i think for this we need so high credibility to sell high end course to high end people.

Hi Doc, the 500-2,000 seed audience is not an email list but a social media following on one platform. Hope that helps 🙏
