This brings back the memories. Back in the 1960s I was a member of TEAC the club that invented rallycross as a motor sport for the TV. It all began at Lydden, I helped with getting it all started and writing the regs. Was surprised about the lack of mud, the rally part of the track wasn't muddy at all, it must have had a surface on it. By the way TEAC stands for Thames Estery Automobile Club, wonder it they're still going?
I used to love watching this on TV on Saturday afternoon when it was raining back in the 60s & 70s. Iwent to watch live a few times at Croft too. Good to see it back. It is a shame the commentator didn't know what the cars were (except the Volvo), I think I could name all of them.
Can't believe someone's running a Stratos in this! Aren't they too rare/expensive for door-banging rallycross? Seems to me to be more suited to classic rally.
That car has probably been a rally car since it was new. Probably not many original parts left on it to make it more valuable than it is as a bad ass race car

I think you will find it's a replica.
@@AndyProsser-fs7et I believe it's Steve Perez's old chassis that burnt to a crisp at Ypres in 2019, rebuilt as an RX Car.
They should bring back Triumph. Anyone got a few million to spare.
