hey listen recently I just contacted Lego about bringing back the monster fighters and they got back to me, they was 50 50 about it not saying there are bringing it back but not saying it's not a thing you know? If we all come together as fans and keep harassing Lego we may be able to bring it back. To me it's better than nothing it's been almost a decade and they still haven't done anything yet. I'm going on social media and even TH-cam at some point, we can do this but if we all work together. Join me if you dare!
At the time, I almost decided to buy the entire Monster Fighters collection, but I don't remember why I didn't, I really wanted to get a Halloween themed Lego sets and that's the closest we've ever had! Yeah, I think Lego should remake this series again, it would very... spooky!! Happy Halloween everyone!
I used to love this when I was younger. I had the Ghost Train, Werewolf set, the swamp boat, the mummy’s chariot, and the zombie car (40076 to be exact, since there’s 2 zombie cars) and tried to save up enough money to buy them all. Sadly, you can’t really make a whole lot of money when you’re 6.
*Some Halloween "Fun" Facts:* The original idea for a modern day vampire comes from Vlad the Impaler. However similar tales of bloodsucking creatures can be found in the mythos of Eastern cultures. The stereotypical look for a vampire originated from how Christians perceived people with albinoism. From the pale skin, to red eyes, and the photosensitivity. In fact this stereotyping can still be found, though not as common as witches. The idea for mummies being monsters can from the ideology of Egyptian curses. However these curses only arose when people from England between 1600-1800 began cannibalizing mummies. It was at this point that people began their infatuation into the occult, and either demonizing or making up their own things. One such, was eating parts of mummies to cure illness. They also used ground up mummies for paints. Werewolves and lycanthropy actually originated from a real life genetic disorder that causes uncontrollable hair growth over your body. It still exists today. Originally this was seen as a trait of someone inhuman. Most people who had this were either enslaved or only able to move around at night. This trait is also the reason we have the tale of Beauty and the Beast. Stereotypical witches have a variety of sources for how they came about. First, the pointed hat and robe came from what Jewish people in Protestant communities were forced to wear. As the witch hunts arose, it was mostly Jewish people, not Pagans, that were persecuted. This is also why the Jewish Stereotype and the Witch Stereotype share common facial features. (Also did you notice that Minecraft based their Villagers on Jewish people and they have certain villagers as Witch enemies? Sweden is mostly Christian as well, just saying.) The Green skin for a stereotypical witch originated from The Wizard of Oz. Where it was used as a way to diversify between a good witch and a bad witch. Zombies are based on a real thing. Zombification was a practice of Haitian Shamanism intended for spiritual healing. Where one was temporarily buried alive. (Black Panther, anyone?) Much like Hoodoo/Voodoo, the practice was adopted and twisted by white cultists (particularly French). Who used the practice for harm rather than health.
I kind of wish they kept doing this theme but without a storyline, so it can continue on for as long as they wanted to. Having a story to the sets just means that it's eventually going to end. I really think they did something special with this theme.
@@diobrando3671 lmao that’s just your opinion. I like the Lone Ranger, Star Wars, and hobbit sets but I don’t like the marvel sets or dc. So I guess the marvel sets and dc sets are kinda of a waste.
0:55 Who's calling Just2Good a monster? just kidding. 4:04 Forgot to mention Ann Lee is also in the Ghost Train set with Frank Rock. At least it was mentioned in 9:55. 7:25 The Zombies set was a Target Exclusive, making it less available at the time as a $40 set. 8:52 You've covered the good guys before and mentioned they were in this set (Major Quinton Steele 5:12 and Rodney Rathbone 6:23). 8:59 A common misconception - Frankenstein is the scientist, not the monster. 13:30 some may count the Ninjago wave of Skybound as steampunk (2016) or one of the Level 4 of 4 in Master Builder Academy, Invention Designer (2013).
I absolutely love this series. The werewolf set was the very first lego set I ever got. Oh the excitement I felt when I saw it on the lego shelf at Walmart.
I had the lab set as a kid... was the most expensive set I ever bought... it took FOREVER to save up $55.99 as a 6 year old... now it's in pieces in my giant lego bin... this video has motivated me to rebuild that set.... thanks.
I'm 40 years old, but Lego would definitely start getting my money again if they did another series of horror based figures or revamped the monster fighters sets.
I did like Monster Fighters, I'd be happy to see a return to the theme, or maybe a sequel theme of sorts that kinda continues it. See what other kinds of things they can do with the idea.
Maybe it doesn't show up on camera? Anyway I have the mummy and can confirm it glows, although, strangely, unlike the vampire (who's head appears to be made from glow in the dark plastic) the mummy only seems to have glow in the dark printing, which looks really strange.
This is the theme that I am most sad I missed during my dark years on Lego. I have a few on my Bricklink and I am thinking of trying to get the less ridiculously overpriced ones by next Halloween.
If you look at the castle set it does not include the trans pink crystal, which is the reason I bought the set as a kid, and it's so rare because nobody even knew it was a set
Every time I think about this series it gets me 2010s nostalgia
i loved this series
Same here.
Absolutely I want this series to come back! Who doesn’t love Halloween??
Halloween is my favorite holiday.
My neighbors
I don’t love Halloween.
Monster Fighters is like my number 1 lego theme

This is my absolute favorite lego series ever. I got every set except for the haunted house. The werewolf set is my favorite, what’s yours?
Il mio preferito era il set dei zombie e ancora ad oggi lo è
@@playerofappsnope5106 Excellent choice. 🧟🧟♂🧟♀
The graveyard set and werewolf set are my top 2 favourite sets
For me the graveyard set and the ghost train
Zombies are probably expensive due to heavy amount of purchasing for apocalypse mocs
Reminds us just how good this theme was.
Wish they made more sets

During 2012, me and my brother liked the look of the sets and we got all of them but the mansion and the zombies.
Same. The mansion is the only set I didn’t get.

I just have The vampire hors
I like this one
It was the my second monster fighter set, only because I wanted some parking for it and the castle fits perfect
This was My only seg
I only need two sets
I nearly had all of them
I kind of wish they kept doing this theme but without a storyline, so it can continue on for as long as they wanted to. Having a story to the sets just means that it's eventually going to end. I really think they did something special with this theme.
But the story was also what made it so good !!! I feel you tho just wish it would come back
I really would love a revibe of this series with new characters and new monsters! Its one of my fav series of all time
They could do a monster fighters people pack, with all the fighters, Lord Vampyre, his wife a few ghosts, a few tiny builds and some more monsters
They could make brickheadz on some of these characters
Monster Fighters is defiantly my favorite lego theme.
Same here.
THE PORG CAN’T GO AWAY THAT EASILY 😂
Wow they look brilliant all together
00:54 Just2goods picture?!
Its just seris 14
I saw it to
@@michiganav92 Just2good's character doesn't appear in that series
Water Blaze that,s right it appears in a Lego The Movie set if I am not mistaken.
@@daan0124 Nope, it's from Toy Story 3.
I really wish they would bring this series back
Me too
Such an underrated lego line! Loved these sets! Happy Halloween! 🎃🍬
The Porg lol
Oh how I love the vampire minifigs
Same here. 🧛🏻♂
man this theme was great I had the swamp one the mummy one and the werewolf one..........
I assumed Major Steel hunted werewolf so those are fangs from his werewolf kills maybe?
They could be claws
Please do every Lego dimensions minifigure ever made!!!
Ikr
Yeah
That too
Please
I hope LEGO is going to make more original themes and less licensed ones...
Absolutely agree

Yea tho im ok with starwars, marvel and dc the rest of license are kind of a waste

Gives memorys the swamp monster was the very first set ever
Good times
I absolutely love this series. The werewolf set was the very first lego set I ever got. Oh the excitement I felt when I saw it on the lego shelf at Walmart.
Holy cap I have the zombie bride I hope I can get at least 50 for her that would be sweet
I think spooky scooby-doo-ish themes- not just Lego but in general- are criminally underused and underrated.
Man I remember these when I was younger
I brought that grey Dracula’s castle 🏰 and it was sick
Lego needs more themes that run by them selves and not off s lisenced theme or original all tv show
Like ultra agents
Please bring the Monster fighters back with an additional wave of sets would be so good! I do miss them 😢
I had the lab set as a kid... was the most expensive set I ever bought... it took FOREVER to save up $55.99 as a 6 year old... now it's in pieces in my giant lego bin... this video has motivated me to rebuild that set.... thanks.
My favourite minifigure is werewolf ,second is ghost
Same. The werewolf is my favorite too.
You forgot the 3pack set with the Witch, Ghost and Zombie
Yeeess!!! This series was my favorite when I was like 5, and when I got the giant castle, I was kicked out of the place I was in for screaming to loud
2:14 I lost that when i was a kid Also the Mummy and the dead horse
I'm 40 years old, but Lego would definitely start getting my money again if they did another series of horror based figures or revamped the monster fighters sets.
Happy Halloween!👻👻👻
This, Space Police, Power Miners, Agents and Knights' Kingdom needed tv shows.
I wish I have more of those sets
Would love more Monster Fighters sets or honestly if Lego ever got the license I'd say go for The Classic Universal Monsters. I'd love that.
The porg was really happy that you guys let him to be in the video.
Every Lego Black Panther Ever

I got the series 14 series for cheap, so I figured I should go for all the monster type minifigs. But then I noticed the zombie bride's price :O
Happy Halloween everyone!
I would want a New Remake of the Ghost Minifig
They had the glow in the dark mouse in the castle set
minifigures vids are my favorite videos always
