Since my room doesn’t have a closet, my entire wardrobe pretty much hangs on a rack like the one you got from the clothing store! It does take up a bit of space in my room, but I prefer it because of how organised it helps me be (because I‘m too lazy to fold clothes sometimes, oof). It’s also a very popular ‘storage’ option in minimalist living!

I love this, my boyfriend does the same thing with his wardrobe. He buys really good quality items and puts them on rotate throughout his week for wardrobe! It’s totally worth it and you have a lot more space left in your closet because of it

I'm going too! After watching your video, I looked, really looked thru my closets and dressers and there's probably only five or six things I wear on a regular basis. It's ridiculous! My ten year old son was killed in an accident a few years ago. It's really opened my eyes to what's really important in my life. At the same time, it made me afraid to get rid of ANYTHING! I know that sounds silly and irrational but I guess it's just the fear of losing anything else. Life is hard to navigate thru sometimes but I'm ready for this journey! Hi Lidia! It depends what type of shoes you are trying to polish? Are your boots made of genuine leather or vegan leather? If vegan leather, there are some polishes available specifically to refresh vegan shoes. For genuine leather - there are still some options. Keep in mind, shoe polish comes in different varieties and can be a true polish, a cream, or more of a balm. If you are OK with beeswax, there are a lot of beeswax based polishes without lanolin or mink oil. If not ok with beeswax, look for something with a vegetable base or naturally occurring wax like ceresine or candelilla. Alternatively, you can make your own. Keep in mine palm oil is very unsustainable and harmful to the environment, so best to avoid carnauba. Hope this helps XX

Thank you for this closet tour! I love watching minimalist wardrobe videos, not only because it appeases my OCD tendencies, but also because it inspires me to only own what I use and love. I think people feel some amount of pressure to own a checklist of clothing items for a "complete" wardrobe, whether those items suit their preferences and lifestyle or not. There are no "must have" pieces for everyone, it all depends on you. I like how you have some unique items in there that hold sentimental meaning and suit your own style. Not a cookie cutter minimalist wardrobe.
I love the idea of minimalism but it’s just not realistic for me because I draw, paint, bake, sew, have hundreds of books because I will read and re read constantly, do makeup for fun & income, and have many many animals to take care of whose supplies always seem to be scattered around everywhere (if u have fish and/or reptiles you most likely understand). I feel like I need the guys from Queer Eye to just sort out my life in general

I’ve always been mildly obsessed with gray clothing. Back when I was in junior high, my friend and I were shopping in The Deb in our local mall, and I was standing at a rack holding a gray sweater (probably wearing my gray corduroy overalls), looking for more (probably gray) clothes to try on when my friend stalked up to me, yanked the sweater out of my hand and shoved it back in the rack and declared “No more gray!” Haha, despite her best efforts to break me of my gray habit it’s still one of my favorite colors to wear.
I became a minimalist earlier this year. I love purging. It makes me so happy to get rid of all the things I dont need or use. So freeing! I am now down to less then 60 items in my wardrobe and that is amazing for me! I had clothes from my teen years because it was so hard for me to get rid of things before haha

You really have things pared down! I’d definitely be interested in seeing a video of your process as you continue. Minimalism goals! Also, love all the gray! I’ve always been mildly obsessed with gray clothing. Back when I was in junior high, my friend and I were shopping in The Deb in our local mall, and I was standing at a rack holding a gray sweater (probably wearing my gray corduroy overalls), looking for more (probably gray) clothes to try on when my friend stalked up to me, yanked the sweater out of my hand and shoved it back in the rack and declared “No more gray!” Haha, despite her best efforts to break me of my gray habit it’s still one of my favorite colors to wear.
I became a minimalist earlier this year. I love purging. It makes me so happy to get rid of all the things I dont need or use. So freeing! I am now down to less then 60 items in my wardrobe and that is amazing for me! I had clothes from my teen years because it was so hard for me to get rid of things before haha
