Hi Partha, I have a doubt that when we use plastic covers to store water, may be we are letting plastic nano particles to seem into water, there by polluting water and we use it for crops, there by letting plastic into soil. So, there is one idea, I don't have information on if someone made it, but just like how a pot is made, we can dig a tank and then line it with a smooth mud paste and burn, just like how pots are made. burnt surface of mud acts as a pot to hold water. There may be a percentage of seepage though but still holds water and there is no use of plastic cover. Let me know your thoughts.

Yes snakes are an integral part of permaculture.. they are essential in pest controlling. They never harm humans.. we have not had any snake bites in the farm in last 30years. There are many many types of snakes in our farm including cobras and put vipers
