Eastern people (mostly Kurdish) are mostly look like you described, other than that it differs like blondes, gingers etc. I think that is because of Ottoman Empire, as it had so many people from Balkans, Caucasus, Arabian Peninsula and Mediterranean and all this regions have different kind of people. Because of that today Turkish citizens have various ancestors from those regions. But the original Turks were from Central Asia.
