As a Town fan I am not bothered by our recent dip in form. Or the way social media and the media are portraying it. I have 100% faith in KM and the clubs owners to keep the club heading on this upward path. I agree we have missed Hirst and that ability to go more direct when we're being pressed. And the difference in the second half at Preston when Moore came on and gave us that option again was like night and day.
Agreed Darryl, 100% Ipswich have improved their options up front this window and Moore is really going to suit playing in this team. Surprised Bournemouth let him come tbh, a quality player on his day.
I agree. No panic. Southampton had their form dip early and lost 4 or 5 (including a league cup match) in a row and have not lost since. KM knows what he is doing and I think Ipswich have a strong team and will be in for an automatic promotion spot at the end of the season , competing with, it seems, first and foremost Leeds & Saints. I, also, am surprised that B'mouth let Kiefer Moore go. Excellent loan deal for Ipswich and he has hit the ground running it seems. B'mouth also let Brooks and Rothwell go out on loan btw??? (to Southampton).
Since Hirst injury we've lacked a focal point up front... Hopefully Moore will provide that now, with Al Hamidi as back up. And we can get back in the groove...
well that was one hell of a roller coaster game. The stats show Ipswich being in fir control but I would not argue with the result if I was being totally fair. On another day Chaplin would have had a hat trick
Leicester fan here. There is a long way to go. Perm any 2 from 4. Everyone assumes Leicester are home and dry. We aren't!! I would love Ipswich get promoted but not instead of us!!
we had same issue last year. Started off well next a blip. Ended up third behind Plymouth and Sheff Wed and they had 11 point lead. Went on a run like southampton and secured promotion with a game in hand. Moore is going to be the difference.
I find it amazing people can't work out why we conceed early goals, you just have to watch games back.our work rate in the first half of games and willingness to engage in tackles is not there we jockey everything till we go down .its week in week out,we look like a 2nd half team only most games
I still think that there is a fundamental breakdown at the back between keeper and CBs. We have had some stability over the past few games but always open to conceding stupid goals. George the Fridge has been outstanding and the times he has been exposed it is actually down to MF not picking their man up as he comes through the middle. If we can get the MF working better at defending the counter we give our CBs a chance. We need to push the attacking counter out wide as we will win anything that comes across in the air.
@dunker1967 yeah I agree people blame clarke sometimes when you can see the cb call him in to cover We probably need morsey to be the defensive mf more often.hopefully now we have 2 forwards that look dangerous it will take a bit of pressure off Chaplin to be the main goal scorer
That Preston result shouldn't be read into much....a clear offside goal! Be interested to hear the Preston upload this week to see what the rep has to say on that! Blind linesman has cost Ipswich.
Maidstone yes, true. I forgot. That result was a real confidence killer I'm afraid. I'm not a Town fan but I always liked the club, its stadium and its fine history. Man did Ipswich look fantastic in the late 70s and early 80s? Kevin Beattie, Eric Gates, Brazil, Walk , Cooper, Butcher etc. Under the legendary Bobby Robson.

Agreed, this Southampton run can't last forever!

Parachute payments are a reward for failure.
Would you get rid of them though and potentially see clubs go bust?

He pretty much agreed with you and said Preston were lucky.
@@ChampionshipTerraceTalk good to know some sensible fans exist...Leeds and Southampton fans take note!

It’s a green screen
Im concerned, we are in a slump. Been a miserable 5 or 6 weeks..and then theres Maidstone. 😢 Pathetic. Need to get their finger out.
