Theory: It was the previous orphan kid that the mother adopted, the mother used them to feed off something dangerous in the room. (An offering If you might)
I wanna estimate that the mom is the entity singing lullabies. To make this is a horror, lets say that the mom is a ghost who died in the house and later started living in the disguise of a human. To make this a murder shit, let's say the mom is a murderer who makes her victims think they are crazy by making them go insane by singing lullabies so even if they escape they are gonna be told that they are 'just having hallucinations' and she murdered the owner of the diary. Now that her found the diary, she has kill her too. That's why she confiscated the diary. (This is only a theory)

Paragraph GIRL here: One gloomy night, Martha and her mom moved into a house that was so called haunted. Martha’s mom didn’t believe that so she thought nothing of it, meanwhile her mom was just putting her luggage in her room she heard a lullaby out of nowhere. She was scared the same thing would happen to her daughter. As sunset rised her mom went out to the shops to get some groceries for breakfast. Martha stayed at home saying she would be fine. A couple of moments later she heard a lullaby coming from under her bed, after that she found a diary, one that looked around 30 years old. Unfortunately the diary was locked so she couldn’t open it but look ed everywhere for the key. When she was exploring she looked in one of the drawers to check and she saw a picture of a lung girl with the exactly same diary as she had found. She looked closely to see the girl had similar looks. She saw the key stuck on with blood on the back but she thought nothing of it. She opened the diary and saw handwriting as similar as hers and it said “i keep hearing these lullabies at night, i cant escape them. They feel like they come out underneath my bed and go into my head,” Martha felt a sudden shiver after reading that. She looked more to find out it was written in 1893 and the girl, supposedly called Marlia was 12. Meanwhile the mom was shopping she didnt think of the case but yet she did. Part 2 at 100 likes Ima just do part 2 xd A few hours later her mom cam back home to check up on her daughter, she was scared and kind of anxious of what would happen. She went into her room praying nothing would happen, when she came in she surprisingly saw that no one was there. She checked around the whole house just to find out that some hair was sticking out from the basement door. She wanted to call the cops but she was scared they would send her to the mental hospital because they didnt know she could see things differently than other people. She decided to go into the basement risking her life knowing it could be fatal. She didnt know life would change. She opened them door carefully just to see the back hair swoop away as fast as a flash. She thought about it and decided to go in not knowing this would change her life. She left the groceries on the table and got a torch. Once she entered she looked around just to see her daughter laying down on a blanket. “Oh thank goodness you’re alive,” said her mom. “Hello? Who are you? I’m Marlia ive been stuck here for ages you’ve came to rescue me right? RIGHT? Out of terror marlena (Martha’s mom) threw the torch at marlia with shock. Marlia got on her feet and decided to do something so insane you would not wanna even know. 1 week later “Hello everyone welcome to the weekly news! Today we have a very unexpected announcement, it’s a story about a woman named marlena. She barely made it out her house alive but after she escaped no one knows where she is. We dont have much information but the police are working on the case. They believe someone was in the basement who was mentally unstable and many many years ago used to live in that house. The woman is currently missing and as we speak right now the police are trying to find her, we also found out she has a daughter and was divorced.
I'll be the paragraph guy today ✨️ Rachel and John have just welcomed their newborn son, Eli, and get settled into their new apartment along with John's beloved childhood pet cockatoo. Prior to Eli's birth, Rachel's sister Vivian was hospitalized after the death of her own infant son Zachary, so their mother sent Zachary's old things for use by Rachel's new baby. While going through the boxes, Rachel discovers an old Hebrew children's book, and explores it with John (who has learned Hebrew following his religious conversion), and after finding the tune, Rachel sings it to Eli to put him to sleep. Shortly after, Rachel and John both begin to experience vivid hallucinations of an old hag. At one point, the apartment loses power, and Rachel runs out of the apartment following disturbances by the hag, insisting there is an intruder, and John investigates. Armed in the dark with a fireplace poker, John is startled by his cockatoo flying past him, and strikes it out of the air, killing it. John grieves, as it is a pet he has had since he was 11 years old. The incident culminates a series of small frustrations that begins to drive a wedge between Rachel and John. Finally, Rachel elects to visit Vivian in the hospital to try to get an explanation for the book. Vivian is shaken to hear Rachel has discovered the book, as she instructed her mother to discard it. Vivian explains to Rachel that the lullaby is a conjure song for Lilith, a demon in Jewish folklore who is said to be Adam's first wife in the Bible. According to the lore, Lilith was cast out of the Garden of Eden for her unwillingness to submit as Adam's wife. Wandering the earth alone, she gave birth to flawed and grotesque babies, as Adam and his new wife Eve gave birth to perfect ones - humans. In vengeance and jealousy, she becomes a demon, and spirits away the human babies of all those who sing her lullaby - a song initially sung to her by Adam, which she twisted into a summoning spell. Vivian tells Rachel that her son Zachary was not killed, but taken by Lilith, and they urgently must return to the apartment to protect Eli. Meanwhile, John visits the synagogue to receives help from the Rabbi. She informs him that Vivian came to her with the same concerns, but there is nothing she can do to help. Shortly after, John receives a mysterious phone call instructing him to come to a local address, where he will receive the answers he seeks. John arrives at the sequestered practice of Rabbi Cohen, who is known for performing Jewish services that will not be honored by the greater church, due to their taboo or unorthodox nature. John brings the book to Rabbi Cohen, and hears the story of Lilith. Rabbi Cohen explains that the hag haunting John and Rachel is a minion of Lilith known as the Crone. She is the first in a series of agents dispatched by Lilith to claim Eli. The next set of agents will be Lilith's own young, the Lilim - the grotesque, distorted babies birthed after her banishment. John is also informed that the accidental killing of his cockatoo was a deliberate part of Lilith's summoning ritual, which is the slaughter of a beast considered "unclean" to Judaism. This leaves the final ritual, which is the spilling of the blood of the infant to be taken by Lilith. If Eli sustains a bloody injury, the ritual will finalize, and he will be abducted and replaced with a dead golem. Rabbi Cohen sends John home with instructions on dispelling Lilith's agents, but does not allow him to leave with the lullaby book. Rachel and Vivian are the first to return to the apartment. Vivian covers the mirrors, warning that they are portals. Overwhelmed, Rachel hands Eli off to Vivian to step to the bathroom and recuperate. While there, she overhears Vivian singing Lilith's lullaby to Eli. Rachel carefully steps back into the room, finding Vivian in a chair cradling Eli, happily singing the lullaby. Vivian tells her that her plan is to prick Eli's finger to summon Lilith, and will follow behind Lilith to her realm to reclaim Zachary. She also reveals she never instructed her mother to discard the book, as she fully intended it to be found by Rachel. Vivian urges Rachel's trust, as this will ensure both Eli and Zachary are returned safely. Rachel feigns cooperation long enough to retrieve Eli from Vivian's arms and return him to his cradle. Rachel then attacks Vivian, and the two struggle in the hallway. Ultimately, an agent of Lilith arrives to cut Eli, and he is taken through a nearby standing mirror and replaced with a golem. Rachel stares down hopelessly at the golem in Eli's crib, until she turns to face the mirror and is pulled through by Vivian, who has already walked through. Rachel arrives in the first area of Lilith's realm, on the other side of the mirror, where she is able to see into Eli's room as though a window. Rachel nearly sinks into a pile of animated golems, until she is saved by Vivian, who pulls her along to continue. They traverse a series of hallways, all populated by wall mirrors where she can see into the bedrooms of other couples with infant children, via the mirrors in their own rooms. They arrive at the final room, a room full of cribs containing the babies successfully taken by Lilith. As Rachel clamors to each crib looking for Eli, Vivian seeks Zachary. Rachel successfully finds Eli, but is caught by Lilith, who throws her back and reclaims Eli, placing him back in the crib. Rachel lunges at Lilith, but is grabbed, and Lilith begins to sing her lullaby to Rachel, slowly draining the life from her. Before Lilith can kill Rachel, she is ambushed by Vivian, who thrusts Eli into Rachel's arms and instructs her to run. Vivian apologizes for what she's done, and sacrifices herself as a distraction for Rachel's escape, as Lilith sings to her and drains her life away. Rachel flees through the mirrored hallways, pursued by Lilith, looking for the mirror in her own home. Meanwhile, in the apartment, John has arrived to discover the golem. Rachel locates the living room mirror and bangs on the mirror to let John know she is on the other side. Per the instructions of Rabbi Cohen, John has lit a candle to expel Lilith's agents, and is reciting the Hebrew prayers to close the portal to Lilith's world. John's prayers successfully soften the portal, and Rachel breaks through with Eli, shattering the mirror and closing the portal. John and Rachel embrace on the floor in their success, and Rachel checks Eli, bundled up in his blankets. Rachel discovers a birthmark that Eli did not have, and realizes Vivian secretly gave her Zachary instead of Eli. Vivian rescued Zachary, leaving Eli imprisoned in Lilith's realm. Some time passes, and Zachary is now a walking toddler. One of Rabbi Cohen's men meets John in a park and hands over the book. He confirms that Rabbi Cohen does not know the book is missing. John returns with the book to Rachel, who sits with Zachary. Exchanging few words, they ponder their next move.
Paragraph guy here: So, it could be that she moved into the adoptive family's house and she found a diary under the floorboards, hidden. It is written by a girl who lived in her room years ago. The girl says she keeps hearing lullabies each night but no one was there and her mom comes in, Asking if she likes the new bedroom. But seeing her reading the diary. She asks what she is reading and the child explains about how the girl who wrote this heard lullabies each night. The mom takes the diary away as to not scare her daughter before she goes to bed. But one night, she hears it too. It could be that the mom was a killer and she sang to her or its a woman who.. will probably murder you. (I dont know fully, thats what I think.)
It could be a spirit of a mother, haunting the people of the room where she was murdered, trying to protect her young daughter when she got attacked by an intruder
EXPLAINATION! : So, a kid was adopted and she moved in with her parents who adopted her. She found an old diary under the floorboard ( which might have been hidden). She read it and it was the diary of a girl who lived in that room before her. It said that the girl from the diary heard someone singing lullabies when she was asleep. However nobody used to be in her room. ( I guess the girl moved out or died). Anyways, now that the adopted kid is in her room ,she prolly keeps hearing the same lullabies while she's asleep. I'll be the actual paragraph guy today 😊 So I have a few theories which surround what the girl experienced. 1) *The Distraction Theory*. The girl was adopted by a family full of serial killers / one family member who is a serial killer. The lullabies she heard must've been a startegy used by the family to get her to sleep since in the video, the mom forcefully told her adopted daugther to go to sleep. Then while the girl was sleeping, the family would go out during the night killing people. They probably made her sleep so that she wouldn't witness/feel suspicious of them. And when the previous child grew old enough to not get sleepy by the lullabies, they family would go on and kill her. 2) *Get Adopted, Get Hallucinations Theory* The family has some sort of curse in which any child they get/adopt gets hallucinations in which they hear lullabies. Not really supported as there isn't that much background information about the family, but yeah this might be the case. 3. *Hiding Monster Theory* This is in some relation with Theory #1. Basically, there's a monster/serial killer hiding somewhere in her room who is friends with her parents. The only place they could hide him/let him live was in the room the daugther was in (that would be the case if the house was small, but it wouldn't make sense for a large house). When the girl is about, the "monster" would sing a lullaby to get the girl to sleep and start killing during the night. Maybe her parents hired him to do some missions? I'm not sure, but when the girl would grow old enough, they would kill her and adopt another child. Hope this helps 😊
Here's a horror version of a story i made called "The Dead Eye"(cringe ik): "My older sister,Emira,killed herself by jumping from the top of the building we lived in right in front of me. I was devastated and couldnt stop blaming myself. We didn't have the best relationship,but i still loved her anyway, since she was the only one from my family i had left. Some months after her death,i was smoking while walking through the little "forest" we used to play in as kids. When suddenly... I saw her. She looked at me and smiled. But there was something wrong... *That wasn't my sister...*
So, there is this girl who has been adopted recently. She moves in with her new parents they show her her room and leave. She starts wandering around the room and finds something under the floor. She takes a close look and notices that it's a diary. She takes it out and starts reading it. Turns out that it was written by a girl who lived here years ago. As she read further she got to know that this girl used to hear 'lullaby' when she slept at night, but, when she woke up she could not see anyone. As she was reading it, her mother suddenly entered the room and asked her if she liked it. She noticed the book and awked what that was. The girl replied that the room was great and that she was reading a diary that was buried under the floor. Her mother snatched it away from her swting that it could scare her. Eventually, the girl forgot about all that lullaby and that girl. Until one day, she too heard a lullaby in her room. P. S- this should be noted that the girl who erote the diary was either dead or missing as she used to live years ago. I guess I am wrong here 😫 (Just read the paragraph guy)
I have a plot idea So basically the girl who was adopted is stuck in an endless loop of being adopted by the lady and killed so whenever she is killed she goes back to when she is being adopted however eventually before she is killed she remembers hearing the lullaby the past times before she is killed and realizes her fate so one day when in the endless loop she decides to write down how she is going to be killed and how she has to escape and hid it in the floor board so that the mom couldn’t find it but right before she could read it her foster mom took it realizing that her secret may be exposed within the diary which is that she is an immortal serial killer and canabal who adopts young girls believing that once she kills and eats them she can restore her youth so she would sing lullabies to the girls so that they believe they are going insane which weakens their mind and ability to defend themselves against an attacker however this girl in particular keeps getting stuck in the endless loop because the spirits of the girls who had been killed before her are trying to help her escape from and defeat the mother so each time before she dies and remembers her fate the past times she discovers more and more clues about who her mother is and would keep adding it in the diary until this day when everything she had to know to defeat her mother was written in the diary but unfortunately the plan doesn’t go as planned since her mom finds her reading the diary and takes it before she gets all the information she needs but the night when she hears the lullaby she remembers her fate and that she needs the diary to get rid of her mom so the next morning when her mom is gone at work she decides to look for the diary and once she finds it she quickly reads everything but notices that there is a page ripped off but sees that at the bottom of the page before has the start of what she was going to write in the ripped off page and words say in very shaky hand writing in what seems like blood “dont listen to them don’t do it it’s not worth it we were wrong they are truly evil please don’t make the same mistake we did please don’t-“ and cuts off before what her prior mistake was but the girl doesn’t think much off it and believes that it was probably her mother who had written it since it said to not go on with the plan so she decides to go on with the plan to kill her mom so that she can defeat her once she comes back from work which the plan is to help the spirits of the girls who had been killed before her escape from a mirror that they were trapped in so quickly she rushes to her room and finds the mirror where the ghosts are in and places it on her bed then she rushes down the stairs to the front door and blocks it with a nearby vanity so that the mom can’t open the door and enter before she is able to complete the plan then she goes back up to her room and uses a pen to stab her finger so that drops of her blood land on the mirror this causes the glass to have a hole spread out if its center that 5 ghosts come out of they tell the girl to hide the mirror so that the mother can’t find it and break it because if she breaks it the ghosts will die and once the mother kills the girl they won’t be able to bring her back since they will no longer exist then they hear a key enter the door nob slowly and the lock click the mother tries to open the front door but is not able to due to the vanity the mother realizes what is going on and uses a rock on the ground to break a window quickly in a panicked state she enters through the broken window the ghosts along with the girl rush down to try to kill the mother by giving the girl strength to protect her self but they tell her that she has to take of her cross necklace that was given to her by the mother since it weakens their powers quickly she takes it off and throws it to the fire so that the ghosts and give her strength to kill the mother quickly the mother gets a knife and tells the girl that what had been written in the diary is not true and that she needs to try to expel the ghosts strength as they aren’t trying to help her but instead kill her the girl doesn’t believe her and grabs a glass shard from the ground that came from the broken window and tries to attack the mother the two break into a fight but the mother is able to throw the girl into her bedroom and grabs two cross necklaces to protect herself and tries to give the other to the daughter but the girl backs away from it and throws both necklaces to the other side of the room however the ghosts couldn’t enter the room due to the cross necklaces being in there so the girl decides to use her own strength and stabs the mother with the glass shard but the mother holds her close and tell her that the ghosts are evil and are trying to kill the mother because the mother stole their power to be immortal so that she could protect those that the ghosts were after but that once the ghosts were freed her immortality was taken away and that the ghosts would go after certain girls so that they could kill them and consume their souls but the only one that had been able to escape was the mother as whenever she would try to protect the girls the ghosts were after by adopting them they would sing lullabies to them while the girls are by themselves to make them go insane and believe that the mother was after them and they used the lullabies to make them believe that they had gone through the same cycle over and over again and even made them write a diary on how to defeat the mother the girl still didn’t believe the mothers story but the mother quickly pulled out the peice of paper that had been turned out of the diary and told her that one night the girl had realized the ghosts plan and wrote it down in her own blood as she knew that the ghosts wouldn’t be able to see what she had discovered if it was written in blood but unfortunately she was wrong and the ghosts were able to use the lullaby to control her into ripping out the peice of paper the girl finally realized that what her mom was saying was the truth but it was too late as the mother had died from the stab wound so quickly she grabbed the cross necklace from the ground and ran out of the room the ghosts noticed her change in behavior and told her that she had defeated the evil mother and all she had to do was burn the two cross necklaces in her hand so that the ghosts could bring her somewhere safe the girl knew they were lying and quickly sprinted up the stairs into her room and shut the door she used the phone too call a neighbor and told them that she needed help however the neighbor didn’t believe her and when they went in to check the ghosts killed him and ate his soul horrified the girl searched for the mirror as the ghosts banged on her door loudly then she heard them begin to sing the lullaby making her begin to feel sleepy she realized that the lullaby was going to weaken her so she loudly recited a prayer to god do that the ghosts could weaken even more then she finally found the mirror and broke it but realized that there was a piece of the mirror missing that needed to be burned to fully kill the ghosts the ghosts laughed and said that they had the final peice she needed and that they would only give it to her if she burned the cross she knew they were lying but had no other choice so she stepped out of her room and burned one necklace but then threw the other at the ghost holding the piece of the mirror quickly she grabbed the peice off of the ground after the ghost had dropped it and threw it into the fire the ghost shrieked a horrible sound and disappeared relieved the girl took a deep breath and then called the police the police arrived and told her that they were going to bring her somewhere safe she went along with them and years later we see her at a asylum (where the crazy people are kept) humming the lullaby it turns out that there were no ghosts and in fact she was the one who killed her mom and neighbor and the ghosts were actually five other girls that the mom had also adopted and she had killed them too Should I make a part 2?
This (vaguely) reminds me of a children’s book my little sister brought home but never read. I decided to read it because why not, and it was actually pretty good. It’s called the door by the staircase I think?

For once, I get to be the paragraph gal! This is a story written by the amazing Heidi Wong, Lullaby. The main character (let’s call her Rosie) moves into her new house, which is owned by the people who adopted her. She finds a diary of a young girl who used to live in that house years ago, and reads it. It talks about the lullabies she keeps hearing. Rosie’s mother (who is her adoptive one) walks in on her reading it, and tells her to put it away so she doesn’t get scared. At night, Rosie hears these lullabies, just as the girl who wrote the words in the diary. The house is haunted by who’s probably a mother who sung lullabies to her children that night.

My own take: The mother of the girl who wrote the diaries was a murderer who killed people while singing lullabies. Her victims eventually found her house, but for some reason only wanted to go after the daughter. They sang the lullabies that the mother sang and eventually killed the girl. The mother eventually died as well, background character. Then, in the future, this girl finds the diary. She reads it, story of video unfolds, and then she hears the lullaby. For the next two months, she would hear a lullaby every night, soothing yet creepy. Her mother would shrug it off as "nightmares, because you read that book." But eventually, the girl goes missing. It wouldn't be until many years that her body would be found in the walls... next to another, older one. :>

Theory(storyline explanation?) 1: The house is haunted or cursed, and for hundreds of years every little girl that moves into this room starts hearing the lullabys. They all write about it in their diary and when they look for a place to hide their diary, they stumble upon the one of the last person to have lived in that room. As soon as they have read the entire diary, they go somewhere else, taking the previous diary with them and only leaving their own, and commit suicide. (Or just die, but suicide sounds more poetic) The mother doesn't tell her daughter, but she was living in that house as a kid, too, only before she could finish reading the diary, she heard of all the tragedies the house has seen and begged her parents to move out, rescuing her from sharing that fate. That explains the reaction of the mother. Theory 2: The mother (or whatever's living in the closet, walls, floor, ceiling or whatever) is a siren.
Theory: the mother is a psychopath killer who kills children and easily gets them from orphanages. The diary belonged to the previous victim of hers who somehow came to know about her new 'mom'. On realising that there was no escape she writes a diary entry to warn those who might take her place. She deliberately writes that she hears someone sing Lullaby instead of warning directly incase the diary gets found out by the mother. Now the mother sings the lullaby to scare the new kid so she would just think its haunted instead of prying more into the diary.

One gloomy night, Martha and her mom moved into a house that was so called haunted. Martha’s mom didn’t believe that so she thought nothing of it, meanwhile her mom was just putting her luggage in her room she heard a lullaby out of nowhere. She was scared the same thing would happen to her daughter. As sunset rised her mom went out to the shops to get some groceries for breakfast. Martha stayed at home saying she would be fine. A couple of moments later she heard a lullaby coming from under her bed, after that she found a diary, one that looked around 30 years old. Unfortunately the diary was locked so she couldn’t open it but look ed everywhere for the key. When she was exploring she looked in one of the drawers to check and she saw a picture of a lung girl with the exactly same diary as she had found. She looked closely to see the girl had similar looks. She saw the key stuck on with blood on the back but she thought nothing of it. She opened the diary and saw handwriting as similar as hers and it said “i keep hearing these lullabies at night, i cant escape them. They feel like they come out underneath my bed and go into my head,” Martha felt a sudden shiver after reading that. She looked more to find out it was written in 1893 and the girl, supposedly called Marlia was 12. Meanwhile the mom was shopping she didnt think of the case but yet she did.

She went into her room praying nothing would happen, when she came in she surprisingly saw that no one was there. She checked around the whole house just to find out that some hair was sticking out from the basement door. She wanted to call the cops but she was scared they would send her to the mental hospital because they didnt know she could see things differently than other people. She decided to go into the basement risking her life knowing it could be fatal. She didnt know life would change. She opened them door carefully just to see the back hair swoop away as fast as a flash. She thought about it and decided to go in not knowing this would change her life. She left the groceries on the table and got a torch. Once she entered she looked around just to see her daughter laying down on a blanket.

Rachel and John have just welcomed their newborn son, Eli, and get settled into their new apartment along with John's beloved childhood pet cockatoo.
Prior to Eli's birth, Rachel's sister Vivian was hospitalized after the death of her own infant son Zachary, so their mother sent Zachary's old things for use by Rachel's new baby. While going through the boxes, Rachel discovers an old Hebrew children's book, and explores it with John (who has learned Hebrew following his religious conversion), and after finding the tune, Rachel sings it to Eli to put him to sleep.
Shortly after, Rachel and John both begin to experience vivid hallucinations of an old hag. At one point, the apartment loses power, and Rachel runs out of the apartment following disturbances by the hag, insisting there is an intruder, and John investigates. Armed in the dark with a fireplace poker, John is startled by his cockatoo flying past him, and strikes it out of the air, killing it. John grieves, as it is a pet he has had since he was 11 years old. The incident culminates a series of small frustrations that begins to drive a wedge between Rachel and John.
Finally, Rachel elects to visit Vivian in the hospital to try to get an explanation for the book. Vivian is shaken to hear Rachel has discovered the book, as she instructed her mother to discard it. Vivian explains to Rachel that the lullaby is a conjure song for Lilith, a demon in Jewish folklore who is said to be Adam's first wife in the Bible. According to the lore, Lilith was cast out of the Garden of Eden for her unwillingness to submit as Adam's wife. Wandering the earth alone, she gave birth to flawed and grotesque babies, as Adam and his new wife Eve gave birth to perfect ones - humans. In vengeance and jealousy, she becomes a demon, and spirits away the human babies of all those who sing her lullaby - a song initially sung to her by Adam, which she twisted into a summoning spell. Vivian tells Rachel that her son Zachary was not killed, but taken by Lilith, and they urgently must return to the apartment to protect Eli.
Meanwhile, John visits the synagogue to receives help from the Rabbi. She informs him that Vivian came to her with the same concerns, but there is nothing she can do to help. Shortly after, John receives a mysterious phone call instructing him to come to a local address, where he will receive the answers he seeks. John arrives at the sequestered practice of Rabbi Cohen, who is known for performing Jewish services that will not be honored by the greater church, due to their taboo or unorthodox nature. John brings the book to Rabbi Cohen, and hears the story of Lilith. Rabbi Cohen explains that the hag haunting John and Rachel is a minion of Lilith known as the Crone. She is the first in a series of agents dispatched by Lilith to claim Eli. The next set of agents will be Lilith's own young, the Lilim - the grotesque, distorted babies birthed after her banishment. John is also informed that the accidental killing of his cockatoo was a deliberate part of Lilith's summoning ritual, which is the slaughter of a beast considered "unclean" to Judaism. This leaves the final ritual, which is the spilling of the blood of the infant to be taken by Lilith. If Eli sustains a bloody injury, the ritual will finalize, and he will be abducted and replaced with a dead golem.
Rabbi Cohen sends John home with instructions on dispelling Lilith's agents, but does not allow him to leave with the lullaby book.
Rachel and Vivian are the first to return to the apartment. Vivian covers the mirrors, warning that they are portals. Overwhelmed, Rachel hands Eli off to Vivian to step to the bathroom and recuperate. While there, she overhears Vivian singing Lilith's lullaby to Eli.
Rachel carefully steps back into the room, finding Vivian in a chair cradling Eli, happily singing the lullaby. Vivian tells her that her plan is to prick Eli's finger to summon Lilith, and will follow behind Lilith to her realm to reclaim Zachary. She also reveals she never instructed her mother to discard the book, as she fully intended it to be found by Rachel. Vivian urges Rachel's trust, as this will ensure both Eli and Zachary are returned safely. Rachel feigns cooperation long enough to retrieve Eli from Vivian's arms and return him to his cradle. Rachel then attacks Vivian, and the two struggle in the hallway. Ultimately, an agent of Lilith arrives to cut Eli, and he is taken through a nearby standing mirror and replaced with a golem. Rachel stares down hopelessly at the golem in Eli's crib, until she turns to face the mirror and is pulled through by Vivian, who has already walked through.
Rachel arrives in the first area of Lilith's realm, on the other side of the mirror, where she is able to see into Eli's room as though a window. Rachel nearly sinks into a pile of animated golems, until she is saved by Vivian, who pulls her along to continue.
They traverse a series of hallways, all populated by wall mirrors where she can see into the bedrooms of other couples with infant children, via the mirrors in their own rooms. They arrive at the final room, a room full of cribs containing the babies successfully taken by Lilith. As Rachel clamors to each crib looking for Eli, Vivian seeks Zachary.
Rachel successfully finds Eli, but is caught by Lilith, who throws her back and reclaims Eli, placing him back in the crib. Rachel lunges at Lilith, but is grabbed, and Lilith begins to sing her lullaby to Rachel, slowly draining the life from her. Before Lilith can kill Rachel, she is ambushed by Vivian, who thrusts Eli into Rachel's arms and instructs her to run. Vivian apologizes for what she's done, and sacrifices herself as a distraction for Rachel's escape, as Lilith sings to her and drains her life away. Rachel flees through the mirrored hallways, pursued by Lilith, looking for the mirror in her own home.
Meanwhile, in the apartment, John has arrived to discover the golem. Rachel locates the living room mirror and bangs on the mirror to let John know she is on the other side. Per the instructions of Rabbi Cohen, John has lit a candle to expel Lilith's agents, and is reciting the Hebrew prayers to close the portal to Lilith's world. John's prayers successfully soften the portal, and Rachel breaks through with Eli, shattering the mirror and closing the portal.
John and Rachel embrace on the floor in their success, and Rachel checks Eli, bundled up in his blankets. Rachel discovers a birthmark that Eli did not have, and realizes Vivian secretly gave her Zachary instead of Eli. Vivian rescued Zachary, leaving Eli imprisoned in Lilith's realm.
Some time passes, and Zachary is now a walking toddler. One of Rabbi Cohen's men meets John in a park and hands over the book. He confirms that Rabbi Cohen does not know the book is missing. John returns with the book to Rachel, who sits with Zachary. Exchanging few words, they ponder their next move.

EXPLAINATION! : So, a kid was adopted and she moved in with her parents who adopted her. She found an old diary under the floorboard ( which might have been hidden). She read it and it was the diary of a girl who lived in that room before her. It said that the girl from the diary heard someone singing lullabies when she was asleep. However nobody used to be in her room. ( I guess the girl moved out or died). Anyways, now that the adopted kid is in her room ,she prolly keeps hearing the same lullabies while she's asleep.

I know your reading this, Abby" She was freaked out by that and kept reading. "Abby, no matter what you do, dont go towards the lullabies. Thats how i became like this. One night, under the blood moon, our mother will come to our room and order us to sit outside for the night and not fall asleep. DONT FALL ASLEEP THAT NIGHT. Mama lullabies will come to you if you fall asleep. Youll hear the same lullabies i did..."

So I have a few theories which surround what the girl experienced.
1) *The Distraction Theory*.
The girl was adopted by a family full of serial killers / one family member who is a serial killer. The lullabies she heard must've been a startegy used by the family to get her to sleep since in the video, the mom forcefully told her adopted daugther to go to sleep. Then while the girl was sleeping, the family would go out during the night killing people. They probably made her sleep so that she wouldn't witness/feel suspicious of them. And when the previous child grew old enough to not get sleepy by the lullabies, they family would go on and kill her.
2) *Get Adopted, Get Hallucinations Theory*
The family has some sort of curse in which any child they get/adopt gets hallucinations in which they hear lullabies. Not really supported as there isn't that much background information about the family, but yeah this might be the case.
3. *Hiding Monster Theory*
This is in some relation with Theory #1. Basically, there's a monster/serial killer hiding somewhere in her room who is friends with her parents. The only place they could hide him/let him live was in the room the daugther was in (that would be the case if the house was small, but it wouldn't make sense for a large house). When the girl is about, the "monster" would sing a lullaby to get the girl to sleep and start killing during the night. Maybe her parents hired him to do some missions? I'm not sure, but when the girl would grow old enough, they would kill her and adopt another child.

"My older sister,Emira,killed herself by jumping from the top of the building we lived in right in front of me. I was devastated and couldnt stop blaming myself. We didn't have the best relationship,but i still loved her anyway, since she was the only one from my family i had left. Some months after her death,i was smoking while walking through the little "forest" we used to play in as kids. When suddenly... I saw her.
She looked at me and smiled. But there was something wrong... *That wasn't my sister...*
OMG
So, there is this girl who has been adopted recently. She moves in with her new parents they show her her room and leave.
She starts wandering around the room and finds something under the floor. She takes a close look and notices that it's a diary. She takes it out and starts reading it. Turns out that it was written by a girl who lived here years ago. As she read further she got to know that this girl used to hear 'lullaby' when she slept at night, but, when she woke up she could not see anyone.
As she was reading it, her mother suddenly entered the room and asked her if she liked it. She noticed the book and awked what that was.
The girl replied that the room was great and that she was reading a diary that was buried under the floor. Her mother snatched it away from her swting that it could scare her.
Eventually, the girl forgot about all that lullaby and that girl. Until one day, she too heard a lullaby in her room.
P. S- this should be noted that the girl who erote the diary was either dead or missing as she used to live years ago.

I have a plot idea
So basically the girl who was adopted is stuck in an endless loop of being adopted by the lady and killed so whenever she is killed she goes back to when she is being adopted however eventually before she is killed she remembers hearing the lullaby the past times before she is killed and realizes her fate so one day when in the endless loop she decides to write down how she is going to be killed and how she has to escape and hid it in the floor board so that the mom couldn’t find it but right before she could read it her foster mom took it realizing that her secret may be exposed within the diary which is that she is an immortal serial killer and canabal who adopts young girls believing that once she kills and eats them she can restore her youth so she would sing lullabies to the girls so that they believe they are going insane which weakens their mind and ability to defend themselves against an attacker however this girl in particular keeps getting stuck in the endless loop because the spirits of the girls who had been killed before her are trying to help her escape from and defeat the mother so each time before she dies and remembers her fate the past times she discovers more and more clues about who her mother is and would keep adding it in the diary until this day when everything she had to know to defeat her mother was written in the diary but unfortunately the plan doesn’t go as planned since her mom finds her reading the diary and takes it before she gets all the information she needs but the night when she hears the lullaby she remembers her fate and that she needs the diary to get rid of her mom so the next morning when her mom is gone at work she decides to look for the diary and once she finds it she quickly reads everything but notices that there is a page ripped off but sees that at the bottom of the page before has the start of what she was going to write in the ripped off page and words say in very shaky hand writing in what seems like blood “dont listen to them don’t do it it’s not worth it we were wrong they are truly evil please don’t make the same mistake we did please don’t-“ and cuts off before what her prior mistake was but the girl doesn’t think much off it and believes that it was probably her mother who had written it since it said to not go on with the plan so she decides to go on with the plan to kill her mom so that she can defeat her once she comes back from work which the plan is to help the spirits of the girls who had been killed before her escape from a mirror that they were trapped in so quickly she rushes to her room and finds the mirror where the ghosts are in and places it on her bed then she rushes down the stairs to the front door and blocks it with a nearby vanity so that the mom can’t open the door and enter before she is able to complete the plan then she goes back up to her room and uses a pen to stab her finger so that drops of her blood land on the mirror this causes the glass to have a hole spread out if its center that 5 ghosts come out of they tell the girl to hide the mirror so that the mother can’t find it and break it because if she breaks it the ghosts will die and once the mother kills the girl they won’t be able to bring her back since they will no longer exist then they hear a key enter the door nob slowly and the lock click the mother tries to open the front door but is not able to due to the vanity the mother realizes what is going on and uses a rock on the ground to break a window quickly in a panicked state she enters through the broken window the ghosts along with the girl rush down to try to kill the mother by giving the girl strength to protect her self but they tell her that she has to take of her cross necklace that was given to her by the mother since it weakens their powers quickly she takes it off and throws it to the fire so that the ghosts and give her strength to kill the mother quickly the mother gets a knife and tells the girl that what had been written in the diary is not true and that she needs to try to expel the ghosts strength as they aren’t trying to help her but instead kill her the girl doesn’t believe her and grabs a glass shard from the ground that came from the broken window and tries to attack the mother the two break into a fight but the mother is able to throw the girl into her bedroom and grabs two cross necklaces to protect herself and tries to give the other to the daughter but the girl backs away from it and throws both necklaces to the other side of the room however the ghosts couldn’t enter the room due to the cross necklaces being in there
so the girl decides to use her own strength and stabs the mother with the glass shard but the mother holds her close and tell her that the ghosts are evil and are trying to kill the mother because the mother stole their power to be immortal so that she could protect those that the ghosts were after but that once the ghosts were freed her immortality was taken away and that the ghosts would go after certain girls so that they could kill them and consume their souls but the only one that had been able to escape was the mother as whenever she would try to protect the girls the ghosts were after by adopting them they would sing lullabies to them while the girls are by themselves to make them go insane and believe that the mother was after them and they used the lullabies to make them believe that they had gone through the same cycle over and over again and even made them write a diary on how to defeat the mother the girl still didn’t believe the mothers story but the mother quickly pulled out the peice of paper that had been turned out of the diary and told her that one night the girl had realized the ghosts plan and wrote it down in her own blood as she knew that the ghosts wouldn’t be able to see what she had discovered if it was written in blood but unfortunately she was wrong and the ghosts were able to use the lullaby to control her into ripping out the peice of paper the girl finally realized that what her mom was saying was the truth but it was too late as the mother had died from the stab wound so quickly she grabbed the cross necklace from the ground and ran out of the room the ghosts noticed her change in behavior and told her that she had defeated the evil mother and all she had to do was burn the two cross necklaces in her hand so that the ghosts could bring her somewhere safe the girl knew they were lying and quickly sprinted up the stairs into her room and shut the door she used the phone too call a neighbor and told them that she needed help however the neighbor didn’t believe her and when they went in to check the ghosts killed him and ate his soul horrified the girl searched for the mirror as the ghosts banged on her door loudly then she heard them begin to sing the lullaby making her begin to feel sleepy she realized that the lullaby was going to weaken her so she loudly recited a prayer to god do that the ghosts could weaken even more then she finally found the mirror and broke it but realized that there was a piece of the mirror missing that needed to be burned to fully kill the ghosts the ghosts laughed and said that they had the final peice she needed and that they would only give it to her if she burned the cross she knew they were lying but had no other choice so she stepped out of her room and burned one necklace but then threw the other at the ghost holding the piece of the mirror quickly she grabbed the peice off of the ground after the ghost had dropped it and threw it into the fire the ghost shrieked a horrible sound and disappeared relieved the girl took a deep breath and then called the police the police arrived and told her that they were going to bring her somewhere safe she went along with them and years later we see her at a asylum (where the crazy people are kept) humming the lullaby it turns out that there were no ghosts and in fact she was the one who killed her mom and neighbor and the ghosts were actually five other girls that the mom had also adopted and she had killed them too

This is a story written by the amazing Heidi Wong, Lullaby.
The main character (let’s call her Rosie) moves into her new house, which is owned by the people who adopted her. She finds a diary of a young girl who used to live in that house years ago, and reads it. It talks about the lullabies she keeps hearing. Rosie’s mother (who is her adoptive one) walks in on her reading it, and tells her to put it away so she doesn’t get scared. At night, Rosie hears these lullabies, just as the girl who wrote the words in the diary. The house is haunted by who’s probably a mother who sung lullabies to her children that night.

My own take: The mother of the girl who wrote the diaries was a murderer who killed people while singing lullabies. Her victims eventually found her house, but for some reason only wanted to go after the daughter. They sang the lullabies that the mother sang and eventually killed the girl. The mother eventually died as well, background character. Then, in the future, this girl finds the diary. She reads it, story of video unfolds, and then she hears the lullaby. For the next two months, she would hear a lullaby every night, soothing yet creepy. Her mother would shrug it off as "nightmares, because you read that book." But eventually, the girl goes missing. It wouldn't be until many years that her body would be found in the walls... next to another, older one.

When she was about to tell Emily about the lullabies, she saw Emily and Roger full of blood and and holding a knife
Lana wanted to see what happened and she stayed. She saw that Emily was stabbing a little girl and then her head got ripped off her neck
Lana was traumatized. She never saw that traumatic thing
Two nights later, the lullabies started to get more scarier and darker...
Lana searched that on google and found something unexpected
Google said that a family died in the same house while their daughter started singing lullabies
Their cause of death was never found but they say that their doppelganger killed them
When Lana closed her laptop, Emily was standing there with a big smile on her face and then...... *BOOM*. Lana got stabbed multiple times in the neck

Theory(storyline explanation?) 1: The house is haunted or cursed, and for hundreds of years every little girl that moves into this room starts hearing the lullabys. They all write about it in their diary and when they look for a place to hide their diary, they stumble upon the one of the last person to have lived in that room. As soon as they have read the entire diary, they go somewhere else, taking the previous diary with them and only leaving their own, and commit suicide. (Or just die, but suicide sounds more poetic) The mother doesn't tell her daughter, but she was living in that house as a kid, too, only before she could finish reading the diary, she heard of all the tragedies the house has seen and begged her parents to move out, rescuing her from sharing that fate. That explains the reaction of the mother.
Theory 2: The mother (or whatever's living in the closet, walls, floor, ceiling or whatever) is a siren.

Theory: the mother is a psychopath killer who kills children and easily gets them from orphanages. The diary belonged to the previous victim of hers who somehow came to know about her new 'mom'. On realising that there was no escape she writes a diary entry to warn those who might take her place. She deliberately writes that she hears someone sing Lullaby instead of warning directly incase the diary gets found out by the mother. Now the mother sings the lullaby to scare the new kid so she would just think its haunted instead of prying more into the diary.
