Not sure about this one. The speed lies have been going on for years. Maybe they use a 3s but even then I doubt it a lot of the time it’s just a guess. They should be honest about the speed using the included battery because it’s still not slow! Just be honest. I have one on the way I’m not getting my hopes up. Huge disappointment from wltoys slowly declining since mjx have come out with some incredible cars. 2024 may be the death of what could have been a huge company. Biggest downfall = not listening to what the people want and just throwing any old crap out the door…

Really good video my friend! I think they do their speed runs with 3s battery (even if it is not rated for it) and put that speed on the box. Yes this is definitely a rethought 979 as you said , no questions asked. Not a big fan of that front bumper. One thing I did notice though, is that you were getting backflips with 2s. That’s impressive and requires a good amount of wheel speed, which makes me think maybe you didn’t have enough distance in your speed run test. Just wondering…

Yeah we got backflips so myself did query the speed run result. It could have been a lack of distance like you mention .

It was a dirt cheap Wltoys K929 that got me into the hobby. I hope they become more competitive again in 2024. I think they've gone backwards over since the 1/14 buggy 144001 came out.

Thank you so much, I've been looking for a decent 1/16 or 1/18. I'd really like to get a 1/18 but it seems the hbx 16890sa (new 16889a pro) might be the best 1/16? Any suggestions on a 1/16 or 1/18?
Unfortunately I’ve not tried the HBX so would not be able to comment truthfully.
I can tell you this 184008 was tough though.
Maybe the size being slightly smaller made it more durable.

Guys which rc should i get wltoys 184008 or mjx m163? I have $20 voucher on 184008 so i will get it for only $56 while m163 is $80 so what do u think guys? 🤔🤔🤔
Both very similar RCs. For the price go for the WLToys 184008. Its a little bit "newer" and just as durable.
I think Wltoys have had their day... What little innovation there was seems to have gone.
Oh well, there are plenty more cheap Chinese RCs to choose from.! 😉 😉

In fact, the company is going backwards. If I am thinking of buying a small car version, I will buy the MJX, which is a little more expensive, but better.
