The Garage Woodshop Series has officially begun! I found out that stud finders aren't always accurate or at least the one I used to own cause I built an overhead lumber rack and when I tried to find the ceiling joists using a stud finder it just beeped everywhere I slid it across the ceiling. Needless to say that stud finder ended up in the trash. It was a cheapie one anyway and it was free to me cause someone gave it to me. Thanks for sharing.

When I built my overhead garage storage, it was easier to drill holes down from the attic through the ceiling next to the joists to mark location rather than using the stud finder.

@@StumblingBearWoodcraft Yeah that definitely makes things a lot easier but since I live in a manufactured home there isn't an attic. Although I did have an advantage in basically already knowing where the ceiling joists were cause I previously had to replace the ceiling's drywall in a couple of places from when our roof leaked. Got new roof then replaced water damaged drywall. 😏 Ps. I watched that video too lol
